I had such a great experience shopping here on Friday! Mimi was helping me, and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable, super helpful, she took her time to answer my questions and color match me. She explained to me that a few of the foundations I have been using in the past changed their formulas, helped me find what works the best for my type of skin and my tone. Muner was so helpful, the most professional employee in Sephora l ever met. He knows everything about parfumes, he does amazing layering! Just worse going to this Sephora to find him and get a good advice about perfumes that you are looking for! I have around 30 perfumes in my collection and l found the ONE today with Muner. Clean store and somewhat friendly people but I don’t like how most of them automatically assume you’re stealing if youve been browsing for a while. I’m just trying to see my options without being harassed and followed around. It’s annoying and makes me not want to shop there. That is why I shop at ulta because at least they leave you alone.

Its so, so crowed in this store. Its always been an annoying aspect of shopping there before, but now with covid, its almost panic-inducing closeness. They need a bigger space. Its way too cramped and the aisles are way too close together. You can barely get to the merchandise and always need to be jostling arrive others to get what you need. Such a pain. Sadly, no amount of great salespeople can make up for that, abd there are many at this store

I had the best experience at this location always and this time its just exceeded my expectations. Muner is the most professional person working there. He has knowledge in perfumes, and was telling me the history of creation a certain perfumes I was asking about. He was smiling all the time, asking what I have used before so he can select for me the best perfume. His customer service was the best I have ever experienced. I insist on him being the best employee that I EVER met at Sephora. I ended up leaving the store with two perfumes and the best mood ever. Muner is the most professional employee I met at any Sephora store. Everyone here is always so nice and helpful. Usually when I go in I see an employee named Natalie who has the best energy literally everytime and makes my shopping experience AMAZING.

I usually get perfumes from Sephora and Muner is always super helpful. He’s very sweet and treats his customers very well.

The worst customer service ever. They wont do returns or exchanges. They blame everything on you and customer service. They are ruining the Sephora shopping experience. Manager is rude and careless.

Natalie is one of the nicest Sephora workers I’ve ever met! She was so helpful and sweet! She really focuses on finding the best product and definitely knows what she’s talking about! Store is always clean, sometimes it can be tricky getting through people cause of the small aisles, but other than that everything’s great.

This was my first time in Sephora. Well, an individual Sephora. Ive been to the one inside JC Penny because I work there. This one was so nice! One of the ladies working by the entrance stopped me right away and asked if I needed help. I was picking up an order so I asked her where to go. She took care of me right there. I didnt need to wait in line or anything! Very fast service and the associate that helped me was lovely! I browsed around for a few minutes after that and they have such a great selection for everything! Fragrance, skincare, makeup you name it. I will definitely be coming back!

How do they allow people to sample all products during covid however the service girl refused to provide me with a sample of a perfume. Claimed it was for covid safety? How dos that make sence. Sephora rethink your covid and sanitary guidelines period!!!!

SO islamaphobic. They see a hijabi and immediately call security within 5 seconds. I had to return something and went straight to the register, didnt even look at other things because I didnt have the time. The woman who greeted me spoke into her microphone right after, then continued to follow me to the register, and pretended to look for something until security came. A security guard checked me out at the register. And I know from experience that security doesnt come out unless theres suspicion. I didnt know walking to the register was suspicious. Something like this has happened every time Ive walked into the store. Some staff on weekdays are really nice though.

Good lines werent that long so I was able to get in fast and not be freezing outside. They didnt have my item,but sales lady was suggested to order it in the store without shipping fee which is great cuz I got smth cheap and I didnt want to pay for shipping.

Expensive 😔 but I love it

I came to sephora because i had to attend a wedding coming up in a few weeks and realized most of my makeup has expired bc i don’t use it all the time the most kind and helpful person named Amanda there helped me match my foundation and concealer for my forehead acne and gave the option of warmer or neutral colors that would go with my face, she was very patient in explaining everything to me and which particular order i should apply the foundation, concealer and primer. Im very pleased and will tell my friends to come to this sephora because of the excellent customer service they give!

BEA, the store manager yelled at me even after I stated that I was for sure purchasing the lipstick I was opening the box to double check that the content matched the box. I have bought a lipstick here before the color indicated outside the box was different from the content. When I came to to counter I expressed what happened and the cashier explained it to me nicely vs the way I was treated by the manager! It’s all about the delivery and tone of communication. This manager DOES NOT TREAT CUSTOMER WITH RESPECT!!!

I had a really great shopping trip with my sister and cousins this weekend. Marissa pointed out a new skincare item for me that has worked wonders in just a few days. She was also very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the products I was looking into. I will be definitely coming back. Loved the selection of skincare items they had available.

Pretentious employees. Most decently mannered employees greet their customers and make them feel welcomed. Based of the comments here, I can see that basic social graces are non existent at this Sephora.DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE. Also, remember employees, “you work in retail.”

I had a makeup application appointment yesterday 9/21/19 at Sephora Old Orchard. I was lucky enough to get Sandy Gomez to do my makeup, and let me tell you she was amazing she did and awesome job very professional, sweet, friendly and best of all she knew her stuff. Thank you Sandy this was by far the best makeup application Ive ever had, you are gifted and a beautiful person. Thank you million times.

I don’t know what it was but all the workers seem to go to customers that have POUNDS of makeup on. I needed help finding the right foundation for my skin type and no one seemed to approach me.

They treat you very differently depending on how you look. I’ve come in dressed very nicely with makeup on and been treated great but if I come in (especially now since it’s so cold out) in sweats and no makeup on they look at me odd and are very rude. I went in today to look for some primer and since I wasn’t dressed up I was treated very poorly by an employee little did she know I just dropped $70 on Armani at Nordstrom and the lady there was very nice and helpful with choosing which product worked better for my skin type. I have to say I’m pretty much done with Sephora I’ve been going to this specific store since 2014, it’s been going down hill since.

They carry my hair products so made a quick stop in here. The girl who was trying to help had NO idea what she was talking about. From the product I use, she kept talking about the product she was trying to sell. I told her what I was looking for and she had no idea which one it was.

Only leaving one star because the girl who did end up helping me was very kind. but i was approached by a gentleman and i asked if i needed help, at the moment i did not need any assistance, but later on i did, and i asked another worker (a woman) for help. I didn’t tell him no based on his gender, I simply didn’t need his help at the moment. My boyfriend heard him tell another worker “I asked her for help and she said no, what a bi***” How rude!! I was blown away. I didn’t give this store any of my business. Hire employees with character and integrity.

Employees are very pushy. I ask for something and they try to shove a totally different product down my throat instead like I dont know how my skin behaves. Ive definitely noticed a difference between when I come in with makeup on and when I come in without it. They treat me like I dont know what Im talking about if Im not wearing any makeup. If I am wearing makeup, they will actually leave me alone when I say dont need any help.

Absolutely appalled. Staff were rude, no one approached me for the half hour I was shopping. Id totally understand if the store was busy but I think their were only approximately 6 other shoppers. I overlooked it and continued to shop, I went to checkout and the lady at the register was rude as well. Definitely not returning.

I come here as a convenience but honestly Most (not everyone) but most of the staff here barely smiles and gives you a very chilly reception. I dont get many smiles whenever I shop here and I dont get any freebies or special treatment unlike the other Sephora locations. You can tell the women and young ladies here are either not being treated with kindness by their manager or they are just not into their work. At the other major Sephora locations there is so much more space so maybe the very tight quarters here are preventing the staff from being able to do a good job and can you blame them? Yes this store is the least cleanly and the tiniest one I have been to and you just feel rushed when you come here so you are not inspired to stay longer than just come here ...get your shopping done and leave. Typically its fun to be a girl and not be in a hurry but at this location its just not peaceful and people are constantly in each others way and bumping into one another. The store here is messy, disorganized and the most of the employees are snobs. There I said it and I dont like being mean because I am a huge fan of Sephora but this location has a lot to be desired. The other Sephora stores go above and beyond the normal routine to make sure you have a fun and creative shopping experience but not this particular store. Go in here and get what needs to be done but dont expect to be treated like a favored guest.

Muner was fabulous!!! I was super impressed with his ability to pick the right scent for me. I have been a sephora shopper for years all over the world. Muner helped with my scent palette and made the most perfect suggestions! He is tall and has a black sleek ponytail! Love his vibe and will return just for HIM! #MUNERROCKS

If I could give 0 stars I would. Unless you look like you have money they will NOT treat you well. I approached Dina for foundation samples and she looked annoyed maybe because she figured I was not going to buy anything she wouldve preferred for me to buy the foundations I requested rather than her giving me the samples. Next time I will buy the products test them and return them if Im not satisfied lets see if she likes that. Hopefully Sephora stores never close and end up just selling online because if thats the case well have to thank sephora consultants like Dina for that. Buying and returning hurts not only their store but the entire company.

Horrible customer service. When people walk into the store you always stop and greet them no matter what. And you shouldn’t have to flag someone down for help when there are a bunch of people on the floor hanging out talking to each other.

Selection of fragrance & skincare is decent, but this location would not be my first stop for hair product & makeup selection. However, they do have a good selection of minis!

Ironically for a beauty shop, they are atrocious in their customer service department and are quite notorious for it, too. Throughout the years, I have been a dedicated customer for makeovers and in the last year, it has been impossible to schedule and secure a date; even weeks to months in advance. I am directed to book an appointment online, which is not possible so far out. On top of that, the employees are rude and condescending when I try to book or even just call for clarification. No makeup poundage can hide these girls’ hideousness….as they forget that they work in retail.

My first encounter with Sephora an employee by the name of Saramati helped me and gave me a facial. She was very helpful and sweet.

Mouner was so helpful and knowledgeable about the products and everything Specialized in beauty and skincare.. I will definitely go back for more helpful information and happy to give him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went to this Sephora on Mothers Day and yeah I get it, its going to be busy on a sunny, gorgeous holiday like that, but the staff was so snobby and stuck up. Two employees in the checkout counter seemed to roll their eyes whenever I asked anything, seemingly had a conversation with each other talking about how long the line was. Terrible attitudes.At the end of my purchase when I asked if she had any samples, she looked at me as if I was dumb or something. You guys do know that samples bring back customers, right?

I dont understand the poor reviews - sure, the store gets crowded sometimes, so the wait for help may take a while, but it also happens at other popular locations. Every time Ive been there, the staff, whether in the makeup or skincare departments are always friendly & professional.

Horrible service and staff members. Went there to buy a new foundation, tried to get help and majority of the staff members said they were busy doing something or find someone else. Very rude worst sephora Ive went too. No friendly service at all, no help decided to just leave and go somewhere else where i will be treated as a costumer.

I am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service in this sephora. I would actually drive 45mins to Sephora in Woodfield then come to this location. The vibe in this place is just so negative and judgmental. If I was a newbie in makeup I would avoid this location. My sister and I came to try the fenty foundation, it wasnt too busy the day we came in. We asked the sales associate if we could get a sample, the lack of enthusiasm and irritation in her demeanor was off putting. Even tho she complemented me her attitude was upsetting.
