This place is awesome....I have purchased about 2500 dollars worth of cigars online in the last 3 years and this place is one of my favorites. Great selection, great service, great pricing. As for the negative comments about the lounge. I have never been there and may never, but when in America or life anywhere fort hat matter, did it not become okay to take care of your friends or good customers?!

Great selection, they are a bit pricey, however you do get access to their lounge which has plenty of space and seating. The cigar selection is good. Pricing points are a little high. Higher than most places in the actual city of Chicago. That being said a great place to get inside and smoke.

The selection of cigars is pretty good. Theres a walk in humidor. The cigars are priced pretty fair. Theres a pool table that anyone can use for free. Theres plenty of TVs and lounge chairs to just sit back and relax. The BYOB policy is great. Water and soda are available for purchase. Great and chill atmosphere.

Go here all the time, great place to relax and smoke. There is a taco place and pizza place nearby that will deliver there or you can walk and pick up your food and bring it in here. Its pretty sweet. You can also grab some whiskey or beer and just chill with some friends and whatever game is on. Good selection of cigars and pipe tobacco too. Really great lounge in Skokie.

Great lounge, always clean, all the guests are very pleasant. Great atmosphere, and an exceptional selection. If you like to sit back, smoke a cigar and watch whatever sport is on, this place is for you.

I have purchased loose tobacco here when I was younger but just got into cigars ! I can’t wait to go in and try some news smokes and get to know the staff . My 3 star rating is based on a phone call at just before close super polite and knowledgeable. I plan to go pick up a stick thee tomorrow after work and will review my in store experience !

Great wide range of low and high end cigars. Place is always clean. Ventalation is great. Tables and chairs are of quality and comfort.

Chill spot to drop in and kick it while watching a game with some of the locals. The music selection aint to shabby either.

I have been coming to Cigar King for 10 years now, since i turned 18 and bought my 1st cigar there. Now obviously with new management things would be different, but for the worse. First I asked to try a pinch of tobacco in my pipe before buying. Not a scam, i had every right to check if it was the same product or not with new management and the time theyve been closed. To them i was a new customer, i didnt expect any favors but i at least expected them to let a new customer try their product first and set a good first impression. They said no, I said whatever, bought it, I didnt really want to come back but eventually i ran out. Now during my time there I noticed that a lot more customers than before just hand their money over and leave. But during these purchases they clearly favored the older people, and people who dress in suits over casual clothes (which makes little sense since few professionals want their fine suit smelling of smoke for a week, rude to the dry cleaners too BTW). I will say that the last owner literally saw me grow up, offered me drinks, and gave me advice when i needed it so perhaps my opinion is a bit askew. They did inherit alot of customers when they opened, probably quite a few google ratings as well, and i did stop going for a while after they closed. Regardless, they were polite but made little attempt to be friendly. Smiling the whole time, even when telling you something you dont wanna hear.This time i came in and after saying what i wanted the clerk stated their card machine is not working, unless i have cash or wanna visit the ATM across the street, it be an hour before its working. Again with that same smile the whole conversation. I reply no, but ask him to fill my pipe while i wait since itll be an hour and Iam all out. He say, despite the inconvenience our policy does not allow samples, so i pull out 2 quarters and politely say samples are free, so thisll cover it, fair enough for less than a gram of tobacco. Still no... I compromise by saying i have a good bit of work to go over, gesturing to my document bag on my side, You can give me an ounce now, Ill sit down, go over my work for an hour, and the moment the the machines up and running you let me know and ill pay. I will add that the last staff did offer me a tab in case such a thing ever happened, which never went over 15$ in my case. Perhaps he was being dishonest, I just realized that if i was sitting there then theyd have to tell the next customer and the next one cash only and risk losing business .To this he says well.... an hour is more of a rough timeline. Well... I will be coming back since its been over 3 hours and see how things go. I will return and edit depending on what happens.Ok, came back. The same clerk sincerely welcomed me back, the card machine was working, he he helped me, offered a box of matches, a bag, and said he remembered me from my last visit. I off-handedly mentioned i used to get an even 1.5oz for ten, just to see if they had even prices, and he actually gave me 1.5oz+ for 10$, despite 8.5$ for 1. Perhaps the machine simply wasnt working and he didnt remember me, it has been a while. Even if some of what I wrote was true i believe going from cold service to gold service is a much better example of customer support than just average treatment. From 2 stars for indoor smoking and good furniture, to 5 stars for good service, great product, and reasonable prices.

They have new manager which is not belong to be in such fine quality business, I believe with his poor qualifications, he will drive the business to go down, already two of my friends are not going to be coming here because of his bad attitude.The other thing you have to be from Greece or related to the owner to have a privilege to get more respect.

This shop is under new management. And they have done a great job of renovating it. Nice furniture, floors, TVs, and decor. My one star you ask? It is for experiencing racism at its core finest when I observed the orthodox Arab and multiple jew patrons push an African American out the door and lynching him repeatedly outside and holding him down until the police showed up. All because the black man wanted to play a round of pool. This all happened in front of me and till this day Im kicking myself in the rear for not recording it on my cell phone. When the police finally arrived at the scene I told the responding officers to release the African American man because he did absolutely nothing wrong. Just think, if I wasnt there to tell the officers my observation of events, they would of locked him up.

Never been there but when I checked the web site it looks like a great place will have to make the trip. fortunately have a friend who goes there at least if I go when hes there it wont be too bad

Called big Mikes now. Great service, clean interior...wide selection.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Huge humidor selection even bigger than the last Proprietors. They redid the inside for a very long as you feel so its relax still got your TVs BYOB and places to eat are within walking distance. They still have the free Skokie parking lot almost right next door and theres also street parking. And they still have a tobacco section for the pipe smokers as well. They also have the fresh coffee and an assortment of drinks that you can have whether they be soda juice or water. Its a small cooler towards the left hand side in the back.

A great place to sit and make new friends. Everyone is friendly and welcome to watch sports on the many big-screen televisions.

Watched the NCAA Football National Championship here from a comfy leather chair with my pipe and a nice cigar.

Moved out of the Skokie area for a few years and decided to venture out to my old stomping grounds last Friday night and saw that Cigar King was open and packed. I must say that it was quite different than what I remembered it to be. They added a few more TVs and more seating...it looked real nice. I was also glad to see much of the same staff and customers there as well. I really enjoyed the few hours spent there and it was nice to see all the people having a good time. I even had a chance to shot some pool with old acquaintances. Jordan, Seth, Denise, Ricardo, and Stella are wonderful!

Amazing selection of cigars and a great place to simply sit back and enjoy a smoke, too. Between the staff and patrons, theres a lot of knowledge for anyone who enjoys a good cigar.

The owner is greedy and stingy. The place is full of people who just give in to the owners demands and it isnt relatable to the public at all. Terribly place! The owner was mean and rude when asked an easy question. Then commented with a smarty pants answer whoch was rude and mean.
