Love Zara, but this place is dump. I thought it was a bargain Zara outlet, but no, it’s a traditional store with absolutelyno upkeep at all. I’ll stick with Michigan Ave location. Corporate should be doing some training with staff.

Love This Zara Location at Old Orchard Mall!... they had really good deals going on right now, prices marked down and Special Prices! Tags price, the outside of the store it’s so beautiful with the Christmas tree and Christmas light that I took advantage and I took couple of pictures with the outfit I just got it :), UPDATE : 01/05/2021 The Good News : NOW is ALL Store on SALE!!!!..the Bad News is the Manager Melisa is really Rude, She will not do any price adjustment or exceptions, So have that in mind when you decide to purchase something from this location . 🥴

The lines are always long. The staff seems more interested in restocking clothes then checking out the customers that are ready to make a purchase. I try to avoid this location when possible.

The customer service is horrific! Seems to be run by a bunch of UNINTELLIGENT SLOBS! Dirty, messy, slow and not helpful in the slightest! I have no problem paying a substantial amount of money for beautiful clothes but if the customer service is anything like what was experienced here, I wouldnt give them a penny! This place is absolutely disgusting! Be prepared to spend a whole lot longer than you ever expected to if you decide to shop here. OLD ORCHARD ZARA IS THE WORST!!!!!

If you want a headache shop here on the weekends. The lines are always long and the store is a mess. I’ve come here to return items twice and both times I’ve waited in lines 20+ people long or had store associates act annoyed while putting clothes away as if I was in their way while shopping. Of course people are going to shop while in the store! I wish Zara’s online experience was better because the in store experience here is not up to par

In store experience- terrible, with clothes all over the place on the floor, dirty, dusty, and ripped, and then they dare to sell that to the customers 😒 Online experience- nothing better; have been putting items to the cart; gone back to the cart, and suddenly, less than a minute, everything is not available or just removed from the cart. Please fix, update and manage you website better. 👎

I absolutely love Zara but this location functions with zero efficiency and little respect for it’s consumers. I am a regular at this store but every visit has been time consuming and unpleasant, although it is simply the closest Zara location to me. Management needs to step up and revamp their checkout process.

Worst experience every time I go there. There is always huge lines for no reason other than extremely slow checkers. Very rude and never helpful. Usually has one register open and that’s it. They need to change something here. I sat in line for 35 min today and didn’t move. One checker and other workers just walked around. I left all my stuff.

Zara doesn’t follow CDC guidelines that vaccinated people no longer have to wear masks. They approached me in the store and demanded me to wear a mask in not nicely manner. I said that I’m vaccinated but the response was “it doesn’t matter” with not very nice attitude. Never shopping there again ever.

The place was a mess. There weren’t any clothes. Terrible customer service. I went in last week, and waited in a line for 30 mins outside. Once I got inside I needed to return something and we were told the registers weren’t working and could only accept cash…well why didn’t the door person outside communicate that with everyone in line?!? This place is a joke. And it’s employees are a joke as well.

Mens register did not open after finishing up counting the register. Huge line in the womens section. They were focused on getting clothes on the floor and keeping them folded. Workers are clueless when asked a question and make up so many excuses when they dont know what to say or too focused folding the clothes. Girl with pink hair doing register literally dumped the clothes in the bag after she folded them nicely. Like whats the point? Were all tired but dont work if you want to have an attitude. Most employees were stylish which is the only positive but dang, please do not come in to work if yall have a bad day or hate customers.

Love the store and Zara products. But the return policy is unrealistic bad, especially now when all the stores give costumers more room for returns and exchanges.After ordering online the e-receipt said 1january, and I got the order delivered to my home just one week later. When returning some items they werent willing to return, exchange or even to give me instore credit, only because I was 30days past due date for return (in reality 3weeks only)When talked to manager theyre repeat this policy automatically, without any flexibility at all. They are not interested to keep their costumers happy at all.Got very disappointed, and after this the manager and the cashier just look at you as a black sheep.COSTUMER SERVICES ZERO STAR!

Not only was there terrible customer service, but the whole time, everyone was giving dirty looks and talking to me in a condescending voice. After requesting for the manager, they were not anymore helpful and basically disregarded my request to return and I never felt more disrespected in my life. I also saw a roach on the floor, and in addition, employees have recently gotten covid, which shows you how much they value safety. I’m never coming back to this musty, crusty store ever again.

Arrived at 7:30 pm.30 minutes later had a male employee rudely say they were already closed. I checked the time and it was 8:08pm. Female employee aggressively asked if I was purchasing anything. Than asked if I was paying with cash or card. I replied not anymore.I checked online they’re not supposed to close til 9. If they were closed, a reminder when I walked in would have been nice. They were rude and ruined me returning to that location.

Walked in yesterday to return 4 jackets I bought in February. Gifted them out in March for a birthday, and unfortunately they were too small. Needed new sizes which I bought online already, and needed to simply return. Was happy with store credit if that was the best they can do. WELL, TURNS OUT THEY CANT DO ANYTHING! 30 day return policy, no ifs ands or buts. Lady at register lied to me. Told me her system was blocked because this was an online order, and to reach out to customer support online. Customer support told me there is nothing they can do because it is outside of the 30 day window. When I asked for email and phone number to escalate this they gave me three non-working emails which all bounced...Ive wasted so much time trying to return this gear, and feel truly not valued as a customer who has bought from Zara for years. This isnt worth the hassle. I will buy from Nordstrom and other stores that have much more flexible policies that actually have the customers best interest in-mind, and the not the stores.

It was the worst Zara I have ever been to. Clothes all over the floor. Mounds of clothes at the tables and Registers. I took pictures because no one in their right mind could ever imagine conditions like this. I asked for help to look for a pair of jeans and 2 different employees told me they didnt have a machine/ tool to help me. I then asked for a manager who pointed across the room to a table. No one ever did help me. The entire store (both floors) were a 🔥mess. I will never go to Zara Orchard mall location again. I drove an hour after calling on the phone and no one ever answered. They are sold out online. Worst experience ever. I left the store without purchasing anything. I would not recommend this for anyone else.

I came in to exchange 3 pairs of pants purchased online. I was told that Zara online is a different company and they cant exchange. I was practically forced to return the pants bought half price and buy them full price, in the correct size. And i drove 2 hrs as there is not a Zara store in my state. Online it says it closes at 9pm. I arrived at 7:57pm just to greeted by a male employee motioning its over. The doors were still open and he said they were closing at 8pm because there werent many customers in the mall. He quoted they were mall hours. .... How about you update your hours online if thats the case. Zara, thanks for turning away a paying customer.

This location does not have as good of a selection as the ones in the city. There are always looong lines to check out, the fitting room upstairs is always closed, when you try to pick up an online order you get bounced around, and employees are mostly unfriendly and focus more so on socializing rather than helping customers. Lets just say I definitely dont shop here for the customer service experience!

I can say this store has the worst customer service around Chicago. Been to the store couple of times, first time was ok, very slow at the counter not so friendly. Second time two Asian employees throwing bad attitudes and staring at me laughing at each other, felt uncomfortable and immediately stepped out without doing business with them. I never ask for any help or questions, still felt uncomfortable. Downtown stores are much better.

Awful. Employees answer using rude manners, none of them make eye contact. After all, I decided to buy a pair of pants and a shirt. The employee called to the next of the line using words as man, bud. After buying and noticed he did not fold the clothes I bought I asked him for doing so. The response is that he didnt know how to do it. Amazing, this is first time I go to Zara store and the employee doesnt know how to fold a simple shirt. The manager was there at that time. This was more surprising. She did respond in a very rude manner: you tried it right? SO! We dont have to fold your clothes no Sir, no sorry, just man, bro . I am so sorry to see this great company as Zara being managed at one store as this. This type of misconduct should be reviewed more careful and more often. The staff there should be trained, trained and trained to loose their attitude. I worked in retail (Marshal Field’s) and know what customer service is. They close, lock the doors ten minutes before closing time. Rush you at the register, rely on the computer and can’t function if you give them change coins so that you get a paper bill back.

Almost every week, I am at this branch coz I live nearby. I came in today none of the employees would even greet you... This branch does not know what a good customer service is. If u ask if they have a diff color for a certain shirt, answer would always say “ i dont know” Rather travel all d way at Oakbrook sales team is very accommodating and helpful. The store has a variety of clothes but the customer service sucks. I’m a regular there and I spend a good amount of money there. I went there to return a pair of jeans that I’ve bought two days ago and I took the tag off but I still have the receipt so I went to the store and the African American manager was like oh I’m going to deny this return because there’s signs of wear!! I came to Zara on Monday to return 4 products that did not fit my child. The man who dealt with the return, returned only 3 things assuring me that they were originally 3, not 4. I do not understand how it was possible to hire someone who does not know how to count to 4 and wants to deceive the client looking directly into his eyes (I called the manager, told her the situation and she took care of my return.) The woman noticed that the shirt that the seller had set aside was not scanned as a refund The manager told the seller that well talk later, and before me no one even apologized.

Unbelievable this place. This group of individuals should worry about Instagram posts and how many followers they have. Two days in a row, Wednesday and Thursday they let me into the store at 8:15pm to tell me that it closed at 8pm and send me away from the register. My job does not allow me to make it in earlier. Their website says that they close at 9pm. When confronted, kid manager, dark hair male stated that the hours are different on Monday and Thursday. I told him that the same happened on Wednesday, he just hung up on me. When I called again, another female hung up on me, because she felt that I was too loud without addressing me at all.C’mon guys, life can’t be that bad! We all work for our money.

Scam company ❌❌❌ Don’t buy anything from them without internal tag be aware they scam customers when they scan their price tag only but when you try to refund or exchange they scan the internal tag. So they remove it to don’t allow you to refund or exchange.

This store has the WORST customer service. A manager made an exception for a white woman even though she didn’t have a receipt. I called several Zara Stores including State Street and Michigan to inquire if an item was in stock and they checked w/No problem. However Old Orchard Zara has THY WORST Customer. I had to call twice and both times I was on hold for 6 minutes. After waiting I was told they do not look up sales items. My visit today took place as they were having their end-of-season sale. I grab some pants (noticing there was a sign stating All $39 on another counter) and proceed to the register. My item rings up at regular price. So I mention this to the cashier and he calls over his supervisor. Before I even say anything, she states, No, I saw you grab those from over there, *points* not from the counter with the sign- as if I were trying to lie and scheme around the pricing. I was really offended. I then tell her that the real issue is the misleading sign. I checkout (which I shouldnt have; I shouldve left). And I finally ask her, What did you mean by [your statement]? Seeing that I was visibly upset, she retracts her words. She was extremely rude and dishonest. I will never frequent this location again.

Took back shoes for my kids 8 months and 21 months that had never been worn with tags on them... policy of not being able to return an item after the season is over is ridiculous. They were 3 months old! Have been ill and busy with life so didnt have a chance to go in exactly 30 days but how does a store not even take the items back . I told them to donate to children in need since it was a waste of money as my kids can never wear them and they said No ! What is the resolution ? NONE ? Where is the customer service for paying the premium price on items made elsewhere... Unbelievable!

Went to this store on Fri Dec 8th to return/exchange a coat I had purchased the month before. The coat had never been worn and still had the tags on it. However, could not find my receipt.The person at the counter told me there is nothing they can do for me without a receipt. I even spoke with the manager who said this was due to a return policy that was put in place in May. I completely understand why I wouldn’t be able to get a return on my money without a receipt, but to not be able to offer any type of in-store exchange is pretty rediculous! I shop at Zara quite often I promise will no longer be returning! Hope this new return policy is worth losing customers over!
