Went in for overdue recalls. Dropped off my car. They were organized & knew I was coming. Was out the door in 5 minutes. Staff was really nice and friendly. Had answers for all my questions. Even though they close at 5pm the parking lot is accessible until 7pm. Recommend this location for any Toyota driver.

Ive had a few issues with my Tacoma, and finally got the time to bring it in to the dealer today. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of choosing Smithtown Toyota to perform the diagnosis.All starts fine, and I drop the truck off at 8:30 and get a call around 2pm stating that they were not able to recreate the issues I brought up and offered to have the service manager come for a ride to see for himself, I accepted the offer.During the test drive, the main reason for my visit (front driver seat shifting/popping while turning) presented itself and I had the service manager drive to feel the issue for himself. Initially the manager stated that squeaky leather was the cause of the noise, but soon after stated that he felt the issue stating that its coming from under the seat. His solution to both problems? Armor all the leather... Even after agreeing that the complaint was identified as a faulty driver seat, and showing him that I do indeed condition my leather regularly (at which point I pulled out my leather conditioner from the rear door cup holder to show him) he stated well its 4pm I cant do anything for you and said theres nothing he could do.All of this on a truck with 19,000 miles and well within warranty.As a former automotive service tech, I would have never treated a customer with such carelessness and disregard, especially with a driver seat issue as any faulty parts directly pertain to the safety of the driver and passengers. I will be launching a complaint with Toyota Corporate for sure.Save your time and money on these unprofessional, careless hacks and go to a real service center for any issues you may have.
