Went there with a friend 6.19.2021, to kayak a bit, and get in a good outdoor workout in a peaceful setting. We really loved it. Danny, in the office, couldnt have been more cordial, friendly, and helpful. There is plenty of parking, the lake is beautiful (about 15 acres). It is well maintained, and I was able to paddle my kayak and explore the whole thing [kayaking is very quiet], while observing a few folks fishing around the edge and some fishing from a boat. There are picnic tables here and there. Its right off the road, but also feels a bit tucked away, and feels as though youve stepped away from chaos into a quiet alcove for a breather. Gorgeous wildlife! Im sure artists and photographers enjoy it as much as fishing enthusiasts. It is quite natural. Ive been visiting (and/or driving by) this lake since 1986. It is a little slice of pure heaven to visit; peaceful and absolutely lovely. We plan to visit there again, sometime soon.

I had the most freeing experience. Healing from some medical procedures and my friend took me here with them while they fished. The place is so peaceful. I did some writing to clear my head. The wetter is beautiful and the people fishing were friendly. The guy that runs is is s sweetheart. I just love this place..

First visit a few days ago. I will say the gentleman/owner is awesome!!! I instantly felt at ease and welcomed. The lake is expansive with plenty of space to fish, hike and have gatherings (BBQ) with family and friends. We didnt catch anything, but did have some bites. In the smaller pond in the back I kept catching turtles 🐢. We plan to return soon and stay longer. Ive lived in the Smyrna area for a while now and just learned about this place. Not at all disappointed.

I got 6 fish today with my boy. it was fun.

Stop reading and COME FISH! If you dont come to fish at least go and see Danny, hes the man and hes got stories for days. Great place and two lakes to fish from, both have good access.

I’ve only been here a couple timesAlways a good visit each timeOnce my dad and uncle caught a huge catfish I’d say about 17 pounds it was incredible, looking forward to going back in the summer with some friends

It was a beautiful area. The water was peaceful and relaxing. That being said I like to fish. I couldnt give my bait away. Ill try it again in the spring and summer see if that makes a difference. If you like nature definitely worth the fee.

So I have only been to GB’s a handful of times, the guys that works there is awesome he is always helpful and friendly. Fishing is slow but this place gets a lot of pressure. That added to the fact that people keep fish that should be let go, does not help it with that said I have caught two catfish over the last week that weighed over 15lbs. So for those that say there are no fish, it might be that you don’t know how to fish. Anyway I hope they stock some more fish so that you can get more bites. Hell I would even pay for the fish to stock it.

Old man at the entrance was one of the nicest people Ive met. Had a little cold, I hope he gets better during this pandemic. Make sure to mask up when going inside. To protect him. Didnt catch any fish. But theres fish in there.

This place is beautiful for picnics only because Ive been several times fished the whole lake and the only thing I caught each time was a headache....

My bf caught a 4 lb. 11 oz. and I caught a 4 lb. 7 oz. bass this weekend. Cant wait to go back to that lake. :)

Yall really should start selling minnows the bites will go up and people will buy them like crazy cause if your not a pro fisherman or have a good amount of experience i dont see any other way for people with little experience to pull anything out of your lake cuz the fish are quite tricky there

Beautiful Location!

Great, clean water. Friendly owner with stories to tell, fresh bait, and snacks. Little ones has a great time.

I have passed this place a hundred times, however was not aware it was open to the public. I had the opportunity to fish today. I spent about fours hours at location, unfortunately I didn’t catch no fish. The serenity of the location is just what I needed. I will be back in the coming days.

Great place to bring kids. Nice clean and very affordable. My son caught three bluegill.

I was there for 5 hours and didn’t catch one single thing he says that there’s a lot of fish but it don’t look like it

Nice place to go relax but the fishing is terrible. If youre looking to catch fish this is not your spot. Hey you can always make turtle stew because both ponds are full of them.

We went to this location and barbecued and saw horses and ducks and my girls got a chance to go boat riding, we had a great time at this location One day before memorial day 2017.

It was nice and quiet but there were no bites at all the day me and wife went. Bait is overpriced.

Sat there for hours and never got a nibble, not even from a turtle or a minnow. First time i ever had that happen anywhere
