This place is super friendly and great for any time of day. Clean, and friendly staff, also the customers all seem nice and relaxed at this place. I have enjoyed all my food thus far. Big menu from breakfast,lunch and dinner...they serve Adult drinks too! ;)
I just wasnt impressed. The service was slow and I dont mean they were short staffed, I mean the server was just slow and made no attempt to be friendly The lasagna was decent but the noodles were mushy. The side salad was good. It was just all around eh.
I work here and the owners, and waitresses are amazing. I am not only saying this because I work there but I do, thoroughly enjoy working here and so dining.

It was a diner that we spotted on the way to Philadelphia from Delaware. The food was ok. My turkey burger was good, with a fresh bun and fixings. There were no bone in wings for my daughters Buffalo wings, there were no utensils or salt and pepper on the table, and we had to ask for these things, plus ketchup. We were stared at by most of the patrons, and couldnt wait to get out of there.

Theres a sign on their door asking for patience while they are understaffed due to the pandemic, and it did take a while to place our order. I asked to sub mac and cheese for fries, but I wound up with fries (they offered to bring mac when I mentioned it, but I said the fries were fine). However, the food came out fast and was delicious. Im glad I took the fries, as they were some of the best Ive had. My BLT club was perfect and everything fresh on it. I tried a bite of my boyfriends chicken parm, and it was up there too. Prices were low. Id recommend this place unless you have an allergy where a mistake in your order could harm you.
We went for the buffet, and were greeted with almost empty bins with dirty plastic lids. There were 2 dishes available, and one of them had a dirty butter cup lid on it, there was a girl that worked there, putting something that looked like French Toast into one of the bins, but had no concerns about the plates. We decided to skip the buffet. We told the waitress we will order off the menu. She was a nice older woman who seem kind of miffed We changed our minds about the buffet, and asked her to give us some time, which she did, 15 minutes or so. My wife ordered an egg white spinach omelet, and I ordered 2eggs scrambled with pancakes and sausages. Well it took almost 20 minutes to get our breakfast. Her spinach was not fresh, but some wet defrosted stuff, my eggs were really runny, and the pancakes, were tasteless, and seemed to have a hard surface on both sides. I stomached the eggs, but couldnt eat half the pancake like things. The girl who seated us saw I really didnt eat much and looked me straight in the eye and said pretty nasty?, and walked away. We called our waitress and asked fir the check, and that took another 15 minutes. So, the staff were pretty good, the food was terrible, and the the buffet looked even worse. I wouldnt think about going back.
So glad to be able to have a great meal somewhere, on Thanksgiving. Service as always was very quick and friendly, huge portions and low price. We opted for 2 of the Feast dinners (which includes pie that we brought home along with half of the regular food after we were too full to carry on) and all of that plus drinks and bread for 2 people was $40.....with no dishes to clean up! If youre looking for Thanksgiving without the rest of the hassle, this is perfect.
The menu looked incredible. I wish i was able to confirm with accuracy if the description(s) were correct. I was never given the opportunity. We were greeted and asked a seating preference. Although, after closer inspection there was actually no table preference available. It was a booth or the floor. No problem even though we had our handicapped mother with us. Szzz We are flexible and adapted with wheelchair in tow. We ordered drinks, which came only after recanting the order. Next after looking over the menu for about 15 min discovered only by the discussion between a waitress and another guest that NONE of the daily specials were available. If you had not already guessed....these were exactly our selections. Still no sign of a waitress. Now just to be clear we were almost 1:2 restaurant staff to guests. That includes 2 of the wait staff at front counter helping themselves to what was probably the last of the specials. As another eternity seemed to pass, i stepped to the counter and asked the girl to take our order. She disappeared as well without a word or a order from us. I then heard her as we walked out the doors It was not her table and not her problem. I said Good Night. Service = 1 to 10 ( 10 being the best) gets a -10 from me tonight. Could be just a bad night for the entire staff. Somehow i am not a believer.
Do not eat here if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. I have allergies and while I don’t usually eat out sometimes it’s unavoidable, so I have a card that has exactly what ingredients will be on the packaging for the cook to cross check. I order what I think I can eat and ask to please double check the ingredients. My waitress casually glanced at my card said I’m fine and walked away. After tracking her down and asking again to please just bring the card to the cook she brought me the gluten free pancake mix and low and behold - I can’t eat it. I then settle for eggs and bacon and ask her to please check the packaging. She clearly writes me off again. Here I am 30 minutes later hopped up on allergy meds with guests over desperately trying not to vomit with my face broken out in hives. I’m so happy that your two minutes of inconvenience is worth my whole day and possibly the next two of my life. It’s fine if I can’t eat at your restaurant but don’t lie to me out of laziness!
I’ve been here 3 times. The first time I had Salisbury steak and it was extremely dry with overall a bad taste. The second, I had turkey with gravy and stuffing, still extremely dry, same strange aftertaste. The third time, this very morning, I had faith maybe their breakfast food is a bit better.It wasn’t, and I don’t think I need to explain why.
It was very good, service very pleasant. Only thing that could be better is less wait time for our food to come out. Other than that we really enjoyed our meals and will be back

I have fond memories of this wonderfull place going back to old site of diner...year was 1965! I had my first corn muffin. My parents and we kids were on our way to NC...stopped here for some supper or lunch. I will never forget my first visit! Made corn muffins over the years...! ! I love to visit this new locale.
Smyrna diner is usually a good place to go, the food is a hit or miss it really depends on who makes it honestly. But usually it’s pretty good, cozy atmosphere and most the waitresses are good.

I was in the mood for some pancakes after attending church and they had them along with some sweet tea. Delicious! Atmosphere was perfect for talking and just enjoying a good meal. Service was perfect! Good pies, too!
Food was good, very nice waitress, and the young man who did it all, seated us, got our drinks,and bussed tables, very nice and polite, I will be eating there again 😀

I think this diner could really be a great place but service was less then par, tops of booths were dusty like write your name in the dust dusty. Im sure at some point it may have been a happening place. So I wish the owners well and still am thankful for the wait staff working.

So glad I checked Google after looking on Yelp that doesn’t rate this place as well. We ordered 3 different entrees (steak, grilled chicken breast and grilled fish with various sides) and 2 desserts, snd all were really good. Staff was very kind and attentive. Bathrooms clean. All employees wore masks. Our dinner cost $58 plus tip. I’d come back here in a heartbeat! 💕

Was feeeling breakfast while out on one of my many adventures. Pulled into the Smyrna Diner and was greeted with very pleasant staff. The breakfast was hot and freshly prepared. And the coffee was fantastic. Another plus, the prices are fantastic. If you are out and about in the Smyrna area or in your way to the beaches, feel free to stop in and get a great diner style meal. You wont regret the visit.

I went in on Memorial Day and was sat in the dining room, my server came up immediately and greeted me, she was wonderful. Her name was something unique, cason/kayson I believe ? Or Kasey, maybe. Not sure. But we had a great conversation and will definitely be going back, hopefully have her again!

When we 1st enter we where seated then we received our drinks right after. Then we literally sat for 25 minutes waiting for someone 2 come over 2 take our order. Once our order was taken that was another 1hour wait for the food. Then then food came but my steak was supposed 2 be medium rare but half looked not done.i ate the mash potato and shrimp. Once we finished we sat for another 25 minutes just waiting for the server 2 come 2 give us our receipt so we can pay and the server was very nice.
My waiter was amazing, young man very personable and took good care of his customers.

Order was all screwed up! Received cold uncooked hash browns, ordered home fries. Ordered spinach,tomato and feta cheese omelet, no feta on it. Husband also received cold uncooked hash browns, and they forgot his cornbeef hash!
Its ok not the best... fries was nasty and cold... chicken was fried to hard and dry... chicken fingers was hard and dry as well...
Fried potatoes were not done, they were hard, sautéed onions was just thrown on top not mixed in (like an after thought) and they also forgot to season the fried potatoes, nasty. Also had a spinach, fried peppers and onions NO CHEESE omelet that was not cooked thru properly. The service was terrible and slow. Thus was the first time we ever eaten at this dinner and the last.

Party of 3. Went in Saturday at 1:15 pm. No one at the hostess stand to take our name for the waiting list. We were ignored by other employees. After waiting 10 minutes with no acknowledgement we left. Looks like they are super disorganized. Wont be back.
