Great early morning coffee and omelettes in a cool, funky atmosphere. Peaceful and Covid-safe.Their early morning menu includes egg and cheese dishes as well as sweeter entrees. The espresso machine knows no coffee drink that it cannot supply....and with gusto.A peaceful, old-school hippie environment full of older folks reading newspapers and books....and I was one of them.A must stop for me on every drive through Soccoro. You will be happy to stop in and fill your coffee cup, and perhaps belly.

Literally served a BLT with raw bacon. The worker tried to tell me it was smoked. Unbelievable

The iced mocha ended up being iced coffee. Id rate it much lower on that alone, except their food was excellent. Picked up The Bacon sandwich, was excellent. Even better when adding the Green Chile to it.No dining inside. Socially distancing and masks were required.

Friendly local shop. Good lattes and oatmeal made to order. Plenty of room to stay distanced.

Don’t expect them to effectively do anything besides get you a cup to fill your coffee.They manage to mess up the simplest of an order (e.g., toasted bagel with butter).I’ve been going to this place for years and the staff’s a) lack of training, and/or b) general incompetence never ceases to amaze me. They routinely fumble tasks that should be so clear and simple and the communication is almost always awkward and uncomfortable.Just a poorly-managed place that has such good coffee and so much potential.

We usually love this place but today was a very bad experience. First of all, we waited for nearly 30 minutes for a grilled cheese, only to receive it lukewarm and not melted.We were here on Thursday, June 3 around 1:30 PM and the two people working seemed less than committed to their jobs. Others who came in after us received their food before we did. We received the excuse that they had been slammed even though there were only two other parties there at the time. When we finally got our sandwich in a to go box, we didn’t discover the sandwich had not been grilled until after we left. It was completely inedible.Very poor experience. Hopefully this is just one glitch in what has otherwise been good experiences here. I would suggest the owner talk to these employees about how to actually do their jobs properly.

Wonderful cafe. Quiet, luminous. The house coffee is delicious (refillable), and you are given a pre-heated mug. The gelato is incredibly good, and the sandwiches are tasty and fresh. Perfect.

Good coffee. Friendly service. They were quite distracted when we came in, we were close to closing time.Our party also ordered Italian cream soda. Proportions were not precise, and thusly not excellent. Again, we came at closing time. Things were rushed.To be fair, they were friendly and delightful.Plenty of seating, and good selection of desserts and goodies. They have a small stage and look to do live music on occasion.

This place has amazing sandwiches! I took my family on a fun day trip to a hot spring in Truth or Consequences. We called in to order food here on the way home and I’m so glad we did. We all LOVED the food and smoothies we ordered. I will absolutely return again when I’m in the area. Highly recommend.

Great coffee. Much better flavor than the national chains.I just had the deluxe omelet with shoulder bacon, spinach, feta cheese, cheddar cheese, and green chilies. It is an awesome option for keto diets.

Visited during a break in the big February storm. Folks were nice and the mochas tastey. I enjoyed the art on display and look forward to when we can take a comfy seat and chat about Socorro and Art. See you folks soon!

Coffee was pretty good and the staff was really nice, but the food was horrible. We got a coulple sandwiches and they were a mess. They made my stomach a bit queezy and my kids didnt even touch theirs( and we are not picky eaters) just really disappointed we spent about $8 a sandwich and them be so bad..

The coffee was good, and we liked our sandwiches. I had ham and cheese croissant, and my husband had a bacon sandwich. He likes crispy bacon, and it was spot on.

Proficient with omlets. Dirty chai is not too sweet which I prefer. One star for sorbet as their lemon taste like perfume instead of lemon; even my food focused dog would not eat the lemon. The apricot did resemble the fruit & the hazelnut was passable but nothing special. Friendly staff will offer your dog water with daily banter; ALWAYS TIP THESE DESERVING FOLK. Newspapers available & there is beautiful photography on the wall. Staff wore masks & the place appeared to be clean.

Stopped here going through town after a visit to nearby Bosque del Apache. The New Mexican breakfast sandwich with egg, hot green Chile, cheddar and added thick-cut bacon on ciabatta roll was DELICIOUS! Yummy coffee and espresso drinks and fresh-out-of-the-oven oatmeal raisin and salted caramel cookies. Plenty of parking (accommodated our truck and Airstream). Worth noting their commitment to COVID-safe practices. I’ll be back!

The coffee and drinks are good and the atmosphere is amazing. Both inside and for taking something out into the plaza. However the food is very lackluster. Ive gotten a sandwich here and was really excited but was very disappointed. I thought this time would be different so I tried an omelet. Again very disappointed. It would have been alright if it had been a $4 omelet, however it was $8. This is a great place for drinks and gelato and muffins. But if you are looking for lunch, look else where.

Staff is so friendly and its nice for there to be a relaxing place to spend time in town.

Very disappointed. I read the reviews online and was looking forward to a healthy, good breakfast.My “smoothie” was not what I consider a smoothie. It has no real fruit in it and has an inch of artificial syrup on the bottom of the cup. Gross. And sickeningly sweet with that artificial sweetness.My avocado omelette is cold to the touch and cold throughout. It is so bland and tasteless that I had to add a ton of salt to get some flavor. Overall extremely disappointing. Won’t come back.

The young lady with long brunette hair did a great job with our sugar free blended drinks today. I tried to call to let her know how perfect they were but the person had a hard time hearing me. I hope she reads this because I do want her to know she did a great job.

Yeah, poor service. Waited forever for my coffee, and the barista told the server I went to the bathroom so they never gave me my coffee. The worst thing about this place is they have the audacity to request a tip BEFORE the service begins. Thats just bad business and should not be patronized

Absolutely the tastiest hand made gelato in my travels. Better than Knoxvilles, Nashvilles, maybe all of New Mexico. Super service, excellent value and portions. Well paired menu choices. Quiet and pleasant ambiance. Played their acoustic guitar for my table.

Regular coffee wasnt great. They do offer specialty coffee options like lattes. Lots of breakfast and lunch menu items including pastries. Most of the food isnt vegan-flexible. Breakfast is served until 11am. Very relaxing lounge area. Location is conveniently located in the heart of down town / old town. Walking distance to the central park and gazebo.

Why get Starbucks when you can go to M Mountain coffee? No, seriously, I think this coffee shop is far superior.I always got the Mocha, which was the best I’ve ever had. I brought my Dad, from Houston, and brothers, from Lubbock, here as well during a visit. They all agree, it’s some of the best coffee they’ve ever had.I don’t know what I am going to do now that I’ve moved, but if you’re in Socorro, do not pas this place up.

Worst experience ever happened to me. I went twice. Once I went they didnt warm the bakery food, it supposed to be warm up. Second time I went was a really terrific sandwich. I have to gargled after coming back to home. Really worst experience. Never go back again

Good coffee and it seemed to be the place to hang out at that time of morning. Lots of folk socializing and even working at their laptops. Artists run a small gallery out of the place too which is kind of cool. Service WAY slow. Maybe 20 min with two people ahead of me? Thought they seemed a bit rude to a Spanish speaking woman just looking for water (not free) but very polite to me. Who knows with the area... And could be she was a frequent non paying customer. Still, 20 min for OK coffee is the reason for the 3 stars. Judging by what I saw in the rest of the town though (I only stopped for the coffee), this place is probably a highlight of the town. Id hang there.... But Id order ahead.

They need more Iced Tea options. Like caffeine-free. Their regular Iced Tea sends me into over-the-top hyper drive. Also, in this day and age, there should be at least a few gluten-free options.

I would never have expected to find such a nice coffee shop in a small town. I had a green chile cheddar croissant with a standard black coffee one morning while I was here. The croissant was so good that I brought one back to Arizona. The baristas are very friendly and welcoming.

Only coffee shop in Socorro so theres not much competition, but it has a great small town charm. Local artwork is on display and sometimes there is live music. Great chais, sandwiches and pastries. Also great, friendly service!

The environment is cute and homey but the staff wasnt the greatest. The lady was nice, but the guy was sick, and not too friendly. The food was awful. We got a grilled cheese, and it was an untoasted cheese sandwich with a bunch of mayo. My avocado sandwich was comparable to baby food it was so mushy. The latte was luke warm and sour. Probably wont be coming back.

The only thing worth getting here is their green chile croissants and even those are hit and miss. The lemonade is always very watery and lacks much flavor. The hot chocolate tastes and on par with Swiss Miss packets.

After visiting the nearby Very Large Array, I craved my hand-crafted coffee fix. Found M Mountain Coffee and wished it were closer to my usual routes -- Id become a regular here if I lived anywhere nearby. I loved the comfortable and eclectic decor, which is just relaxed enough to create a great atmosphere while still spacious and clean. The menu tempted me to overindulge, but I narrowed it down to an amazing espresso drink and a brownie. Im looking forward to trying the gelato Affogato next trip!
