Someone I cant remember told me these guys were absolutely great… went for clutch change a while back and loved the service and communication. Super friendly and they call with options, and they give recommendations. Very professional! Brought my car back for struts, tires and oil change… had an engine light issue that anybody else would’ve taken advantage of… it was an easy fix and they went the simple solution route. Great local shop for your car maintenance needs. Staff has always been honest and prices reasonable. One time I was on my way to work and popped my tire just a few minutes from my house. I swung by fellsway and they were able to plug the hole and get me on my way in just a matter of minutes- all in time for me to make it to work on time!

I’ve been a customer of Jimmy’s since I bought my first car thirty years ago. He’s a great mechanic and an honest person. He’ll always be straight with you about what your car needs to get back in the road, or tell you if it’s not worth spending the money to fix it and I’ve never known him to be wrong. I live on the Cape now but I still go to Somerville to have my car repaired at Fellsway because I know I’ll get good work, a fair deal and be back on the road quickly. Highly recommended!

Fast, good, cheap. People normally say pick two but at Fellsway Auto I felt like I was able to choose all 3. I brought my car in on Monday morning and was able to pick it up in the afternoon after extensive repairs of my camry.

I gave this mechanic every opportunity to do the bare minimum. A deal over the telephone from a customer he never met who lives 100 miles away. I was simply asking him to look over a vehicle I was interested in purchasing from a local dealer and tell me what’s wrong with it. I’m sure he knew chances were good that whatever was wrong with it the work would be done by the dealer. He could have taken my money over the phone, do a quick walk around the truck, and tell me a couple tidbits and I’d never have been the wiser. Instead he did an in depth evaluation of the vehicle, hooked it up to the computer, put it up on a lift, checked out the motor in detail, checked fluids, and everything else. He gave me it ALL. The good the bad and the ugly. It’s one thing to do a fair job when you could have done nothing and gotten away with it. But this guy did AN AMAZING job when he could have done nothing and gotten away with it. Integrity like that is hard to come by.

Needed brake servicing, new pads and rotors. I didnt want to go to the dealership and be ripped off. I found Fellsway Auto online and looked at the reviews. I can honestly say that Jimmy & the team are exactly what the reviews say they are. Good guys whom are not trying to over-charge you or perform work that is not needed. Very nice easy going guys. My time there was quick. The lobby area is very comfortable. Went because a garbage bag got caught under my car that had melted and was causing strange noises, which they were able to saw off. From my experience and from the other reviews Ive read, if you want honest service I would go to them.

Owner is a nice guy. Gave my car a thorough inspection and told me exactly what I needed done to fix the problem. They do a good job, quickly, and for a good price.

Hands down the best mechanic in greater Boston

I visited Jim at Fellsway to have him look over a 1980 Datsun 280zx before I bought it. He was super helpful putting the car up on the lift and giving it a thorough going over listing everything that needed fixing, even suggesting ways to do it and other things to consider. That car will be a project car for me, but guaranteed itll be visiting Jim and his shop for any repairs that I cant do properly or safely do myself! Thanks Jim!

While it might not look like much on the outside, these guys are really good at what they do. I only came in to fix a flat, and within 20 minutes they had solved the problem, charged me a fair price, and sent me on my way. You cant ask for any better.
