Have now gone to this shop twice - once to buy chicken and and then to buy goat meat because the reviews are great. Not going again.- the meat quality is alright (not absolutely fresh as the goat meat was dry - dried skin and ink marks from marking still on the pieces which I noticed while washing)- biggest issue is that the teenage boy managing the front doesnt let you get in and look at the meat. I like to be able to look at the meat I am buying.. get it cut the right size and also choose the quantity if I dont like what I see. No options here and I packed 5lb of mixed goat meat and only found that it was dry (when I asked for with fat and cut into half inch - 1 inch pieces when I reach home.

Tried Chicken Tikka. Very tender and juicy chicken pieces.I have regularly bought Halal Lamb and Chicken from Somerset store. Never been disappointed with the quality. Now they are in Hillsborough.Highly recommended!!

Overcharged ($51 for 10lbs of chicken) AND didnt give the full amount of meat promised. When I came to pickup in the store, had the meat at the register and were quick to say put your card here to get me to pay and leave. Please be careful with these people.I was very surprised how many thumbs up bad reviews have here. Please do not over look this and go see the bad reviews for yourself. Disgusted that theyd rather get one over rather than keep a recurring customer.

I am very grateful to have a place in town like this to buy ghee, curry leaves, goat meat, whole spices, great snacks, etc. Lots of things supermarkets either dont carry or price way too high (especially the spices). They have some large packages for spices priced very low, so its great if youre shopping for more than one person or if you just go through a lot of spice.A very nice family owns and runs this business. It makes every trip a pleasure.

Meats are fresh, not frozen. The unique thing is, they are not cutting the meats by machine, they do cut by hand as we do in India, I like this very much and you will feel the difference when you eat. Price also matched with other competitors in the market. I recommend to others.

DIRTY, RUDE, CHEAT... People like these give us muslims a bad reputation. The owner will go to the lowest level to save just a few dollars. Only a small amount of meat in this grocery store is halal mixed with expired or near expired meat from Costco/ShopRite etc. Stay away if halal is important to you.
