Sean and his team did an amazing job from removing our existing carpet to sanding and staining the hardwood that was underneath. Our job required Sean’s team to come out a second time and thru the whole process Sean stood by his work and made sure our floors were perfect!! He responded to all our questions and needs in a very timely manner and I would 100% use Alpine again!!

Sean and Mike were great to work with when trying to decide on a new floor for our great room. I love the white oak engineered flooring they installed for us. Its beautiful and I get so many compliments on it. They also did an amazing job sanding and refinishing the floors through out our house with hardly any mess or dust to clean up. Alpine removed the tile in my kitchen and installed hard wood floors. In addition they sanded and refinished my living room floors. Was very impressed with the removal of the tile and install of the wood floors. Did an incredible job weaving the kitchen floor into the existing living room wood floors. Virtually no dust in the sanding process. My floors look like fine furniture. They did all of this in four days. Was able to walk on the floors 3 hours after each finishing coat. Would highly recommend Alpine. The floors are beautiful!

Did you ever meet someone and right away think WOW. This person is amazing and has the best energy? That is Sean, The owner of Alpine. I got quotes from 4 companies. Alpine was not the lowest quote but I knew in my heart this was the way to go for the best quality work. We ripped out carpet in 4 rooms and refinished florring in the entire house. Every step of the way Sean kept us up to date with the progress and gave us suggestions that ended up making our project not only an amazing success but above and beyond my expectations. We completely remodeled our stairs which none of the other companies could have handeled for the extensive amount of work. Alpine was the only company that was able to also supply the balusters (spindles) and had an installer that they trusted. Other companies I spoke to said I would have to outsource so that was a huge plus not to have to deal with different companies. I cannot even begin to express how happy I am with the results. From a custom wooden grate to the suggestions for upgraded posts in our stair remodel Sean went above and beyond with detail. I cannot recommend this company enough. We had wall to wall carpet, and after it was removed, the team reviewed options for the transition from the rest of the house into our great room. They carefully removed a layer of plywood under our carpet so that everything would be the same level. They also matched the color of the hardwood in the adjacent room. I called, scheduled an appointment to have someone come to my house for an estimate on hardwood floor repairs I needed. She came, said she was going to provide pics for an estimate. Once I received a call from Sean, he wanted to know if the extra flooring I had for repairs had ever been in the basement. I told him I didnt know as we just moved in and it was left by previous owners, but it was not where it was found. He got very insistent that it couldnt be used if it had been in the basement previously, which I understand. I also provided a copy of the label so that a new box could be purchased for my repairs. I was told that he would get back to me within the next couple of days with an estimate. He never did, I was just blown off. I guess I was not spending thousands of dollars so he just could not be bothered to do the job. Shame on you for treating people this way!!!

This place is the worst! Sold me a very expensive reclaimed pine floor that immediately started to shred and fall apart. Look at the photos! I was guaranteed it would be hardwood. It wasn’t. Dented with everything. Gave me and my dog splinters. Owner refused to make good on it. This deterioration started immediately after installation and the owner refused to even return my calls. Stay away from this place. I eventually hired a new company that had to sand the entire 3 rooms and refinish the floor anew.

After exhaustively researching providers for installing a new hardwood floor and a remodel of our stair handrail and treads, we settled on Alpine Flooring. After completion of the project, we are more than satisfied that we made the right decision.Sean Franciss proposal for both jobs was very fair, and the work crews that completed the job were professional, polite, and respectful of our home and our time. Sean was great to work with to spec out the project, acquire the needed material (we needed 1½ red oak boards -- which are not easy to find these days), and then schedule and complete the job on time (and we did this during the giant winter storm last week), and on budget.With our experience, I highly recommend using Alpine for your flooring needs.

The initial sales process was fine. Any follow-up beyond that point was difficult. It was a struggle to reach resources via phone or text. In person meetings were not conducted on time or adhering to an agreed upon schedule. Responses were like pulling teeth as if the sale had been made and service was no longer the priority. Another interesting thought is how the owner of Alpine asked us to leave an online review even prior to the job being completed. To me, that is a red flag. It depicts a company lacking an online presence and trying to build or generate good will for their brand. Or, it speaks to a company who is trying to recover from some poor reviews and show researchers that positive experiences outweigh the negative.Our job entailed refinishing existing hardwood floors as well as installing and finishing new hardwood floors to an addition.Best part...the installers were skilled and did a very good job.The finishers were not as good. There was some stain on the walls and base molding. Also, damage done to the toe kicks, base molding and to a side panel of a large cabinet in our brand new kitchen (caused by their equipment).Note, our home was empty so there was zero furniture to move. We were home during the sanding with the exception of a few hours. Within the few hours we were not home, Alpine damaged a kitchen side panel. When we photographed the damage and reached out we were met with a dismissive response and denial that Alpine damaged the side panel even though Alpine was the only trades people with access to the house (which was empty at the time).Alpine - next time you encounter an issue with a customer, a simple “Sorry, not certain how that happened but we will take care of it” would have diffused this situation and left the customer feeling good that their best interests were being looked after. The attitude we received was that of deflection and lack of ownership of the issue.I would not recommend this company for the following:1. We were called by the owner and accused of not paying the remaining portion of a bill for a completed job. We reminded Alpine that they hadnt completed the work and were only about 60% done. They mistakenly called but hardly apologized for the rude and accusatory tone2. Late to meetings, zero follow up3. The owner called to tell me as “ one of our best customers, could you please write a good review on google and all social media about us, tonight if you could.”. Sean (owner) asked me to write a positive review after his incorrect call about. balance and before the job was even complete.4. Alpine damaged a brand new unfinished railing (split the wood during sanding) and claimed they did not do it.5. Alpine damaged our new toe kicks and moldings and side panel. While Alpine agreed to have the moldings touched up by paint (which does not correct the damage from the sander, it only masks the damage) they denied damaging the side panel. Alpine eventually ended up replacing the side panel and toe kicks only, not the decorative base molding around the custom cabinets. This was a very difficult negotiation that continues to leave us with damaged moldings6. They tied into our electrical panel to sand, which entailed removing the cover and tying directly into a circuit, Alpine did not put this back together upon completion. Alpine did not inform us of leaving the panel this way. Once we saw this we had to have our electricians come to the home and do so.Alpine was pushing back on what amounted to be the replacement of a $600 Panel. The narrative isnt “what nice floors I have” but “what poor customer service I received from the owner himself” and “what a complete headache this turned out to be”. They seemed to be focused more on their profit margin for this job as opposed to doing the right thing.The experience is unfortunate as we believe in doing business with local companies, however I would seek another flooring company.

I had them back for repairs after some work in the house and again they did an amazing job.I have referred them to clients I help purchase or sell homes for and ALL have been thrilled. Alpine recently did a 7500 sq ft home for a client and these floors were old wood from, unsure 1800s early 1900s beautiful floors. Recently used Alpine to have all of the 1955 floors refinished in a new home I bought. They had never been refinished since the house was built. Sean and his crew were very receptive to my needs with this project, that needed to be done in 2 phases, since this was a split level home. Alpine floors installed new oak flooring in our home in an area that used to have a tile floor. They weaved the new flooring in perfectly with the existing flooring. Then they sanded and refinished the entire first floor with their 99% dust free system. They did a spectacular job with 3 coats of oil based poly. We could not be more pleased with their work. The Owner, Sean, is a super honest, super high integrity person and their craftsman do a phenomenal job. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get flooring work done in their home.

Everyone at Alpine Flooring was professional from start to finish. Our oak floors have been with us for almost 25 years & needed to be refinished after many years and a lot of foot traffic! My (picky) carpenter recommended Sean at Alpine. Alpine took me through a complete new floor installation in a townhouse that looks amazing. Picking out custom flooring is a big undertaking but everything was on time and on budget...a small defective plank was spotted and quickly repaired. Wall to wall also went very smoothly. We purchased a home that needed major cosmetic updating. Several friends and family have used Alpine Flooring and were very happy with their work. We were very impressed with their assessment of our floors and their suggestions. More importantly, the final product was an amazing transformation from the old outdated floors, and they also managed to perfectly match the existing floors, which they refinished, to the new vinyl floors that they installed in our bonus room. Were also so thankful that they used the dustless sanding system. It made for a very pleasant experience overall! I cannot say enough Good Things about the quality of work plus all the people (from owners to employees) at Alpine. Four years ago we had major work done by Alpine(hardwood refinishing in our bedrooms and hallway which involved replacing many of the boards plus new carpeting installed in our living room, dining room and den). The work was done to perfection and we have been beyond happy with the results. Recently the carpet in our living room developed a rather large ripple (caused by us). When I contacted Alpine to ask what could be done they came and were able to fix it at a very reasonable fee. I had Alpine Flooring do my entire house and I was beyond happy with everything. From the first day they came out for the estimate to coming by two weeks after the project was finished to make sure I was happy, great all around. Also I was stunned by the lack of dust left after the job. I thought at least there would be some remnants of sanding, but the way they do it...none! Professional all around.

We had an addition put on our cape and wanted new oak flooring to be Installed and blended with our existing oak floors. The existing floors also required delicate repairs to be made prior to sanding. Alpine came highly referred and was well known for their services in Hunterdon were we live. Alpine came in and was able to complete the whole project within the days that we were away on vacation. It was really amazing to come home to brand new floors! They did an amazing job of matching the old with the new, and we especially loved their dustless refinishing system. We have since referred Alpine Flooring to others and would highly recommend them again, and again!

Alpine Flooring resurfaced our floors - our house is almost 30 years old and they had been done once already but they were showing signs of wear due to our dog and foot traffic. My wife and I purchased a new home in late 2019 that had pine floors through out the entire house. The floors were in very bad shape with a lot of cupping in various rooms. The estimator came for the initial proposal and informed us that the floors could be sanded and refinished which was a huge relief because we thought for sure they would need to be removed and replaced due to the condition. We hired Alpine to complete the work prior to moving in and they completed the project on time and most importantly on budget. Our project was completed in December of 2019 and have received multiple compliments on the quality of work.

Amazing customer service and quality! We had prefinished hardwood floors throughout the first floor of our home and were thinking about replacing. Met with Mike and Sean (owner) at Alpine who came to our house and explained how refinishing would look amazing on these floors and also save us on budget. They were 100% right! I have used this company twice roughly seven years ago and now. I was very pleased with the installations and stain, finishing of my floors. I have recommended many people through out the years. I also realized after several years from when I first used them, the same crew were present when having new floors installed in my second home. The crew were very respectful and upon finishing up the job, left no trace that they were even there.@ Warren - Pine floors is a soft material and nick up easily. And you stated you have a dog however you didnt say how large the dog is. In addition, did you get an oil base poly or water? I wouldnt recommend pine floors especially with having a dog. Pine splinters especially with animals running on the floor. Water poly isnt durable such as an oil base. If I were you, I would have done some homework prior to deciding on the type of flooring I would have chosen. You can only blame yourself for not making yourself knowledgeable. Apparently Alpine has been in business for many years. That speaks for itself. Given the partial details you provided, your review isnt substantial enough in my eyes to even consider in any decision making process I would have needed.

When we needed flooring work done in our old house a couple of years ago, we found Alpine through Anjie’s list, triple bid the job, and awarded the job to Alpine. Alpine did a nice job installing new wood flooring and refinishing existing wood flooring in our old house, so we used Alpine to do our floors in our new house. When unforeseeable circumstances with the floors in our new house came to light, the Alpine team provided expert advice around our options and we were able to build and implement a new installation plan quickly. We had completely new wood floors installed in our second floor with shimming to level out dips in the older floor, new Coretec flooring in our basement and ground floor, and installation of a tile pattern in the entry foyer. We are happy with the quality of the work and would call Alpine again for future jobs.

When I had an issue with a refinished floor they immediately returned to address it. Upon their inspection they found that the poly did not set properly and they scheduled a time to apply another coat. They offered to offset any inconveniences such as moving furniture and paint touch ups. I am glad to work with a company that stands behind their guarantee.
