I live 1500 miles away from Mercedes-Benz of Boston but Rob Tinkum made my buying experience more pleasant than most Ive had 15 minutes from home. Additionally, I had third party custom work done on the car after I purchased it and before I picked it up. I needed to travel . As I was about to get on the road from my home state en route to Boston, I learned that a head light was out. My desire would have been to try to get the repair done before I got on the road, but time would not allow. I called ahead to the dealership. I now offer a big “THANK YOU” to the entire team that I encountered. Those for whom I know the names and to those that I do not. Thank you to the receptionist who connected me to Mohamed (parts Dept) who identified that you had the part needed for my repair who then connected me to Gil (service Dept) who quoted the price of the repair and graciously squeezed me in first thing the next morning at 7am. Thank you to the young lady checking the cars in. Thank you to the young lady who made the morning coffee. Thank you to my assigned Service rep, Michael. Thank you to all. Went to Mercedes Benz Boston location. Had a car lined up for purchase. My experience dealing with them over the phone was average but I was okay with it. I expected the in person experience to be better but the experience was below average. The sales rep had the attitude of them doing a favor to me by selling me a car. They had a attitude of superiority which made me change my mind.I have been informed since that most herb chambers sales rep have this attitude. I needed up finding a better deal and a much better experience at Mercedes Benz of New London.Highly recommend the dealership to train their sales rep on basic customer service. This is my personal experience and my two cents

I had a difficult time from other dealerships and was having a hard time finding the right person to help me. Lucky for me I had Mr. Sim as my sales rep. He was helpful and didn’t judge me because it seemed like I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. But he had reassured me that it would be an easy process and quick. Initial call to the dealer was not a great experience. A “sales manager” answered and showed no interest in me or selling the car. Was dismissive and did not want to let me test drive unless I was ok with 10k over the MSRP.Called back same day and spoke to Johnathan. Excellent customer service and great attitude. Ended up purchasing the car despite the up charge. It was overall a beautiful car and a great experience thanks to Johnathan.

I drove my family on a cross country roadtrip in my 2017 Mercedes Sprinter RV. In the process of replacing my own fuel filter I broke a part with no time to spare. Not only did Rob in the parts department help me find the part quickly, he brought Thadeus, their Sprinter Service Expert to walk me through the repair process since I could not get my RV to the dealership. I spoke to Erica and she got me in and out after I told her the problem and informing her I had to pick up my kids at a certain time! She guaranteed a quick fix to my tire and the promised was kept! Buyer Beware: I purchased a new Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 Van in February 2019 from MB Boston. I prepaid for two services, intended to be used at 20k miles and 40k miles. They recently informed me that they will not fulfill the second service because my purchase expired after 2 years, and 2.5 years has passed.At the time of the sale, I was told that I could schedule the service appointments at any time. It was specifically communicated expiration dates were not an issue, they just wanted me to bring it in at 20k miles and 40k miles. In addition to be lied to, considering that MA was in a state of emergency for the better part of a year due to COVID and travel restrictions were in place, you would think that Mercedes Benz would be flexible in fulfilling prepaid service plans because people were driving far less in 2020.I have called the service office and the dealership, they refuse to service the vehicle or provide a refund. In short, they lied to me and stole my money. I have literally never written a public review, clearly I am not happy, but hopefully this comment will prevent Mercedes Benz from stealing from some people. Its a pretty miserable feeling being robbed.Outcome: Upon seeing this post, MB Customer Care reached out to me and resolved the situation within one day; they will service the vehicle. MB confirmed that the pamphlet used at the time of sale showed 2 services / 3 years, which was the information I used to make the purchase decision. However, the contract they had me sign showed 2 services / 2 years in the fine print. I do not believe the seller intentionally communicated different terms to me verbally, or by way of the sales material provided to him by MB, than what was stated in the fine print of the contract. To summarize, two employees in two different departments turned me away saying nothing could be done to resolve the situation, the review triggered Customer to look into the situation, the error identified was quickly resolved.

I made a service appointment. I arrived on time. I spoke to someone when I arrived and they told me a technician would be out to speak with me shortly. I waited 45 minutes and no one ever came out. It was always “just a bit more.” No communication, no service. Waste of time, go somewhere else.This was also middle of a weekday, so not exactly their peak time. Bad for the brand, bad for the service reputation.

I found a used Range Rover on their website, I emailed and inquired about it. Was met with Kim who told me (and I have the emails) that they wouldnt be able to sell to me as I was out of State and they would not make an exception on their 2 step process of going in and signing the paperwork and then going back to pickup the vehicle. I emailed Carlos to which I was told must be a miscommunication. Then Dana reached out, we started talking about the deal - I was instantly approved, trade price offer was good, all set to sign. Said I would like to come down Saturday but could come sooner if needed. Asked about them needing a deposit to hold it till Saturday, said they dont take deposits but she would send me the preliminary paperwork to sign. All was good, got my insurance binder all ready and emailed to her, temp plates done - all I needed was a signature on the paperwork. At 1pm today I was told oh oops someone else looked at it several days ago and decided today they want to buy it. So sorry, but I will let you know if their deal falls through. I have never in my life of purchasing vehicles have dealt with so much nonsense. I called Carlos back after finding this out and was basically told that I must not have paid attention to what was told to me. Pretty sure I have it all in email and that I would have driven down if need be. Just an FYI for anyone out there looking to do business with this particular outfit.

I have to say that my experience with the Mercedes dealership in Somerville was TOP-notch!!! I was stopping by & just looking and obviously fell in love with a few different cars. My sales rep Ronald was absolutely amazing in assisting me with selecting the car that was the right fit for me. Not only that, but he walked me through the entire process, with full transparency, patience and got the numbers to work out fairly for both sides of the table. I brought my Mercedes-Benz in for a oil change at 68k. And I asked them to fix the driver side door which was making a clicking noise when opened. And after that to adjust the door so It did not make noise at high speeds. Mechanic took the car for a road test and upon hearing a noise in the front end he attached an ear chassis to several parts of the front end and found out that they were is a worn ball joint and control arm assembly. Replaced all parts and then aligned each tire. All warranty work- n/c.! They are very thorough at MB and did an excellent job. *Buy an extended warranty. It saved me a lot of $.

My favorite service agent, Mike Robinson, was there and I told him I just wanted the regular maintenance not repairs but the oil dip fell inside the oil tank and had to be taken out and replaced. This was the costliest part because of labor costs. The oil tank had to be dismounted to get the dip out. Mike helped by finding costs to eliminate and this reduced the bill to a more reasonable one. I had to wait there although I was offered a ride home which I declined. I did not want to have to come again and I needed my car in the evening to go to an event. I had taken a book to read and I spent my time reading it in the computer room at a desk with a nice chair and had an outlet to charge my phone. I ate some free pastries and coffee from the lounge which Herb Chambers has available for employees and customers. I had a pleasant and quiet atmosphere where I could read while I waited and Mike helped me save some money. Not bad!

This dealership offered us the best value by far for a vehicle with the lowest mileage. Other places had the same models but almost double the mileage with a heftier price tag. Our sales consultant, Tabish, was excellent! We were probably one of the more difficult clients as there were a lot of complications, yet he was helpful and patient with us through the entire process. Unlike other consultants which can be intimidating to approach, Tabish was quite amicable and empathetic. It seemed like he genuinely cared about the client and finding the right car for them, rather than simply trying to push a sale. I am grateful and could not have wished for any better consultant.

Nowhere on the detailed bill is the labor rate stated. Just the labor charges. I was originally told a hydraulic motor failed. Then I was told a different electric motor had actually failed. When I asked for the old electric motor, first I was told I would be charged a “core” charge for not returning the failed motor to Mercedes. Later I was told it was thrown out and the trash had been hauled. Car was delivered with baked on, non-recent bird droppings on hood. Sent photo to service advisor.

This was my first experience at a Mercedes Benz service department and from the time that I checked in with Gil (my customer service department representative) to the time that the valet brought down my car to me was wonderful. What a great first impression they left on me. Another valet offered me a cold bottle of water while I waited for the car to come down from the garage. Also, my car had been washed. Fantastic customer service. From my purchase just 2 months ago until now, I have to say nothing but 10s across the board. They definitely stuck the landing! Great dealership.Thank you, Jimmy

Just purchased a Mercedes and brought it here for the annual inspection and to have a cracked light replaced. I can’t tell you how wonderful this experience was. They had a business center where i could take work meetings and when we realized the service might take longer than expected, they called an Uber for me to get home and another one to bring me back when it was ready. Not only that, final price came in under the estimate. Great experience

Its been a wonderful experience for me to purchase my first car here. Since it is my first car I own and drive, I had tons of questions in terms of how to manage the car. My salesperson, Amel, helped me a lot. Turns out he spent almost an hour with me in order to demonstrate various functions of the car when I picked it up.
