Very friendly neighbourhood cafe! Good coffee and delicious sandwiches. Try the Rustica special with all the additions! The staff are really friendly and helpful and will remember you if you go back a couple of times. They even have some limited outdoor seating (mostly around the back).

Rustica has been my local lunch spot for the past 2-years and I really appreciate the service and quality of the food. The staff are like family and rather considerate with all we have had to deal with in recent times.I wish I wasnt moving away so they make continue to get my business. I just moved to the neighborhood a few houses away from the cafe. After a hot day of moving, I needed an iced coffee and they still made me one even though I showed up a few minutes after they’ve closed. And it was delicious!! Definitely my new go-to for coffee!! Found this place walking around after being turned away from bagelsaurus because they don’t have walk up ordering until 11. The owner (maybe?) was the nicest guy, we asked if there was a table in the sun and he moved a table from inside out to the sidewalk for us. Delicious sandwiches and an excellent croissant that our toddler devoured. Would strongly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful place! Wicked nice people, fresh ground and brewed incredible coffee and asymmetrical (homemade) bagels! The courtyard patio, behind the cafe and under a towering Willow tree, is quirky, beautiful and totally unique. Wow! I’ll be frequenting this lovely cafe whenever I’m in town. Thank you!

Very good spot for a quick bite to eat and coffee

WOW... this place is a hidden gem! Their food was so delicious and made fresh to order with fine quality ingredients. I had their daily special (Tomato Mozzarella Pesto on Focaccia) and my hubby had their Roast Beef special that was exploding with robust flavours. Both of us came out of there smiling, full, and wanting to have one of those back home. If youre in this area, you gotta check them out!

Fantastic hole in the wall sandwich shop. I love their sandwiches (focaccia is fresh and delicious) and the staff is very friendly. Its got a homey vibe to it. Also, the prices are very reasonable (~$9 for a sandwich)! This has been my go-to local sandwich shop for a few years, and Im surprised theyre not more popular now.

A very quiet, laid back experience. Handicap-accessible, it seems. Also a friendly staff, moderately priced, and literally the best breakfast food Ive found in Cambridge. I love sitting down with a macchiato and just writing away. Its not crowded, its in a quiet area, the ambience is nice. I really do recommend trying cafe rustica at least once. 😀

The two guys that work here are consistently friendly and upbeat every time I come in, always putting a smile on my face. Ive only come in for coffee but its deliciously made each time. They have several outdoor tables in the back seated under a beautiful large willow tree. Its worth stopping by to enjoy the woodsy and relaxing environment theyve got outside.

Super friendly people, great coffee, and yummy food! They’ve done a good job accommodating/modifying the space for social distancing purposes too. No inside seating obviously but they do have a back patio. They have also rearranged inside to only allow one customer in at a time while others wait outside where they’ve marked 6ft spaces. Will definitely be going here again!FYI hours have been adjusted to 7am-3pm for the time being!

Update 7/11: I cant say enough positive things about this place. It is rare to find a restaurant/cafe/pub that you can genuinely say makes you feel like you are at home. The staff are some of the kindest, hardworking people Ive encountered. Now the food? Top notch sandwiches, salads, coffee, and pastries. I personally cant ask for a better ham sandwich, but all their food is amazing.I recommend giving them your business!First visit in fall of 2019:Walked in early on a weekend and got a very friendly greeting from the staff. Iced Coffee was generous size and the bagel egg sandwich was delicious. Will be a return customer

If you want to close early at least put it on your website or Google maps or the door of your cafe, so people don’t come to you at 3:15 and they’re like why is this closed?!

Living right around the corner this is a go to spot on a Saturday or Sunday morning for a quick bagel / breakfast sandwich and a coffee without breaking the bank. The staff is always so friendly and knows who you are and what your order is. They have a lot of seating including an outdoor area and a patio out back.

I was traveling through town and luckily stumbled upon this nice little cafe for a break. Like all the other reviews says, the staff here are very friendly. I sensed the homey atmosphere immediately - everyone at the cafe were so genuine and friendly! Everyone seemed to know each other and I felt so welcomedThe food is also delicious and fairly priced. So happy I visited, it’s perfect for a slow Sunday morning (or any morning really)

Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, and a staff that are gracious and kind.Highly recommend if you are in the area. We visited from Florida and these were the most customer service oriented people we have met in the Boston area.

The people working at this cafe are the best! A few weeks ago I called them and asked if I could bring a bag of coffee beans I had to their cafe to get them ground and they were incredibly sweet about it. Its a great place to sit down for a cup of coffee, and when the weather is warm they have a lovely backyard.

Weve been going to this lovely little cafe for years. This place is definitely not a hipster type of joint, it has a truly European feel to it. The Guys who run the place are always incredibly friendly and sociable no matter how busy they are. The menu is not overly elaborate, mainly bagels, omeletes, and (excellent) sandwiches, but they obviously care a lot about the food. Dont miss out on this gem!

One of the best sandwiches Ive had in a while! The sandwich was flavorful, crusty, and fresh and the ingredient proportions were perfect. Prices are reasonable.(Got the salami-provolone sandwich on french bread, with tomatoes, lettuce, and balsamic vinagrette dressing)

Not overwhelming. Feels like, based on the name and the fare, it is mostly a cafe for the sake of a cafe, like many in the area. I cant say I would go there again simply because I didnt enjoy my sandwich and the coffee was also lackluster. If you go, you very well might have an experience far better than mine, and I have no malice towards the place, so I am leaving it at 4 stars, but I wanted to share my experience.

Best sandwiches

Caught this place on the way out of town. Only wish I lived here to enjoy it regularly. Croissant breakfast sandwich that melts in the mouth. Great cheddar, mushrooms and sausage. Folks here act like youre their first favorite customer, yet theyve been here 20 years. Ill go out of my way to come back.

This is for the non dairy mocha latte.This is probably the cheapest one Ive had, coming in at $3.50!It wasnt much other than cheap, they use silk brand soy milk. Was thin tasting and the chocolate was unevenly distributed, but so cheap and fast!

Nice vibe, had the rustica special sandwich and it was very good, my espresso on the other hand was kind of burnt tasting, probably a dark roast combined with over extraction.
