The staff was excellent at liaising with my insurance company and the rental car company assigned through my insurance.Debbie and Alexis were extremely responsive to any of my questions and concerns. I went to many different places to get my AC fixed. Either they were too busy for me or they didn’t have the machine for my car. I was referred to CARSTAR by a local business. After three hours of traveling to Santa Rosa and back I said this was my last resort in finding a place that would work on my car today. I told myself that if CARSTAR is unable to help me then I’d make an appointment through the dealership that sold me the car for next week and suffer this heat. CARSTAR took me in and made it so I had air conditioning by the time I left. The service was prompt, professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them in the future.

This is the third experience at this shop. I have extensive experience with shops in Sonoma and know it to be true that this is one of the best shops around. They have done custom work on one of my vehicles, cleaned up poor repair work that another shop in town did, and this most recent work was on a vehicle that was hit and ran from. Each and every time my vehicle was returned to me in pristine condition with no evidence that anything was damaged on the vehicle. I would take my vehicle there if needed knowing they will do a quality job and will not return it unless the work is correct.

Worst body work ever. Now, a few years later It is all cracking and peeling because they took shortcuts and used inferior paint instead of the factory paint. And moldings, and bolts around where they repaired are falling off. THE WORST EVER. I would not believe those reviews. And I have a lifetime guarantee that my insurance co. paid for. Because I am out of the area now, I have to pay to clean up this mess myself, not that they would ever offer to fix it but I am not driving across country to let them mess it up again in case they did. NO Way!

Took a car there for a 4 hour or so job. When I got there they said it would take 7-8 hours. Then when the car dealer who was to pay for the job called them it was a 13 hour job.Be careful!!!

We are Canadians who spend the winter in southern California. Three weeks ago we were travelling to Santa Rosa in our motorhome towing a Hyundai Santa Fe. After travelling about three hours on the freeway we took a secondary highway through Sonoma. In the center of town, we stopped at an intersection and then made a left turn. Just after the turn, my husband looked in the monitor for the rear-view camera and said “there is something wrong with the toad”. (vehicle being towed by a motorhome) We pulled over to the side of a busy street and he got out of the MH to see what happened. As he was getting out, a motorcycle officer stopped beside us and told me we couldn’t stop there. I told him I was not sure that we could move. He then called another officer who parked his truck behind us so traffic knew to go around us. Turns out that the baseplate (mounted inside the front of the Santa Fe) for the receiver part of the hitch had sheared off taking the bumper with it. My husband and the two police officers managed to un-hook the Santa Fe from the MH so we could move them. One of the officers took us to a body shop where we parked both vehicles overnight as they were closed until morning. The body shop was Body Best in Sonoma. First thing Monday morning, my husband met with Alex one of the estimators at Body Best. Alex was very helpful and took the time to go over all of our options with my husband. He checked into getting a new baseplate which would have taken up to two weeks and had his welder look at the car to see if fixing it was an option. The welder was confident that he could fix it so that is the route we went. Alex said he could have the Santa Fe repaired by Friday which sounded good to us. After giving us a loaner car to use for five days, we headed on our way to Santa Rosa. The body shop called us back after they had removed the damaged bumper and told us that they had found more damage and they asked us to come back to see it for ourselves. Once we saw the damage done behind the bumper we realized how incredibly lucky we were that the Santa Fe had not broken loose and caused an accident. We readily agreed to the extra work to have the rest of the damage repaired and once again headed back to Santa Rosa. Alex said that we would be called on Wednesday with a progress report. Sure enough on Wednesday they called to say the work was on schedule and that the new bumper had arrived. Friday morning we were called to say everything was ready for us. We returned to pick-up the car which was not only fixed but washed and vacuumed. As tourists, we had to put our faith in company that we had no experience with, fortunately we were not disappointed. We were completely satisfied with the service we got from Body Best. They were very friendly and helpful. Dino even gave us a recommendation for a good place to eat in Sonoma.Pat & Dan…………………………………………………………………………..
