San Lorenzo has almost everything a professional contractor or a weekend homeowner will want. It doesnt have a smarmy cute feel, and they stock no flimsy goods. Be ready for direct and substantive answers...without frilly pitches...from people who are accustomed to demanding, busy tradesmen. The yard workers will help you find and load the heavy things, but they are not chatty. Prices are fair. 40+ year customer.

SLL on 41st was recommended to my wife and myself for some remodeling. We needed a few bookshelves in the second bedroom and a complete kitchen (7 ft x 10 ft, including the fridge!) make-over. We have a very small kitchen.We went into SLL in September, met with a representative and began planning. It is now December 22, 2017, and we still arent finished! This has been either a total comedy of errors or a practice run with amateurs, not professionals. Even though the representative came to our condo four (4) times, we still have cabinets not finished; measurements were off by 3 inches, in one case, which threw everything else off; the bookcases were made with incorrect measurements; we needed two tall cabinets...they made and delivered four; the list keeps going on and on and on, like the energizer bunny! This is not a big job; its a very small job.We went on a 17 day cruise in October to be out of the way. Upon arriving home, we discovered everything had been delayed for 2 weeks; we came home to exactly what we left.How SLL stays in business is beyond my comprehension; furthermore, the representative say, Weve got to get this right, so these people can have their home back. You think? Three months, and were not even close to being finished? It makes me wonder, 1) how she got a job; and 2) how shes kept it!This has been a living nightmare! I were you, Id go elsewhere; any other business is better than San Lorenzo Lumber.
