I went last Friday to check out because I had never been. I found lots of cool drums and old foreign instruments. I am very tempted to buy something but not anytime soon I dont have money! But yes please check this place out its absolutely the best locally owned music store
Pete and the other salesman were wonderful! They helped direct us to where we would ultimately save money on what would work for my sons drumming goals. Real nice guys! Well probably start his lessons with them!
Took my guitar here a little over a year ago, needed bridge work and set up, took about 2 weeks but Wally really does good work for a great price. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Very cool and unique inventory of new and used instruments.
Friendly people. Good atmosphere. My daughter takes guitar lessons from Neil. He is priced reasonably.
My 7 year old son does lesson with Mike Schroeder. He loves it! The sense of inner peace my son gains with each lesson is priceless!
This is an excellent shop. They recently repaired my two classical guitars. The results were excellent, and it took only 48 hours. The price was less than I was expecting. I strongly recommend SBME to any guitarist out there who needs repairs or a set-up. Cant be beat.
This is an amazing local music store. Great customer service. They make customized drum sets, you can set up times for various types of music lessons, guitar repair, booking for events, rental equipment, and so much more! I was really impressed!
Awesome
Very friendly, knowledgable staff that I entrusted my beloved guitars to for repair.
The best guitar setup and repair shop around!
Great people, great place. Wonderful service and attention to detail. Plus an incredible selection of instruments.
My son takes drum lessons there. They are very friendly and like family. Great place to do business, drums, guitars amps, and so on. Go check them out.
The best in town for your music equipment needs! Very knowledgeable! Terrific service!
This place is awesome. Its a local music shop where you can sit and chat with everybody and get a lot of advice and knowledge.I went here to have my 3/4 classical set up after purchasing it used. I was originally told that it wasnt worth it because they couldnt find the truss rod on it (yes, this model does have a truss rod - Cordoba Cadete) and it would require extensive work (>$100) to get the action and neck right. I told them to just do what they could for the standard setup price (~$30).When I came to pick it up in three to four days, they told me that the tech was able to find the truss rod and fully adjusted the neck, action, and even leveled some frets out. The guitar that played terribly before, now sounded like a guitar worth a lot more than I paid for it.They really did a great job, treated me like a friend, and were absolutely professional while doing it. Go here!
Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. Im sure Im forgetting something!
This place is a life saver keep it up
One of michiana best new and used equipment
Beautiful instruments, great prices, great advice. A treasure.
Cool place with cool ppl.
Recently took my Washburn guitar in for repairs to the bridge. When I took in the guitar there was a noticable split through the center of the bridge & wanted to avoid further damage to the guitar. I was informed that a full bridge replacement wouldnt be worth while since the guitar itself wasnt worth a whole lot in the first place. However, after closer inspection they mentioned that the bridge wasnt damaged to the point that it needed a full replacement. They repaired the bridge and reseated all the bridge pins. During these repairs their technician adjusted the saddle for better action and reseated the 8th fret since he noticed it was loose.I was very impressed by the attention to detail South Bend Drum Company & Music Exchange put into their work. Not only was my bridge repaired, it was in immaculate condition. I couldnt even tell there was ever a split in the wood. What really blew me away was when I realized they even retuned my guitar to half step tuning before giving it back to me. (I did this to avoid further damage to the bridge but never informed them of it.)When I came to pay for my repairs I was told that the strings I had on the guitar werent damaged during the repairs and that I could still use these strings for a while longer before they needed replacing. Because of this, my bill was lower and my smile was bigger. All in all I am extremely satisfied with my whole experience at South Bend Drum Company & Music Exchange. They saved me time, money and gave me peace of mind about damaging my bridge every time I play. All of my future music purchases will be through this company and I will urge everyone else to do the same.
Super friendly and great prices!
