Seeing here on maps,, they were open until midnight.. I drove 40 min to go here. I arrived at 10:06 pm.. apparently they close at 10pm now... the guy working wouldnt let me shop- though there were other people still inside. Maybe they are a great store... I wont be back.

Accuses everyone of being a thief with no rhyme or reason.Editing: Shortly after I graduated high school, the owner Mark, told an employee to keep an eye on those three because they are going to steal something and gestured to us. We promptly left, leaving the 300 worth of dnd products on the counter that we were there to purchase.I heard recently there was another issue within the last months with the YuGiOh players and him accusing one of them of stealing as well, and thought to share the experiences on here.Past that, each time I have entered the store their has only ever been one employee who had any semblance of wanting to be there. Wish I knew his name because he deserved a raise for putting up with the other very rude and condescending employees that were there.

Fantasy Games has a good board game selection, great miniature selection and your stand array of TCG options. They have paint options from multiple companies and all the accessories you would need. They have a game area in the back.Would recommend for the Niles-South Bend area.

They have magic the gathering, pokemon, warhammer fantasy and 40k, and a massive selection of other board games. The staff is rather knowledgeable about nearly every game they carry.

Just moved near here from Vegas. Must say they have a pretty sizeable selection to what I could even find in a huge city like Vegas. Staff is friendly. Me and my brother are getting back into MTG and one of the dudes at the counter was happy to explain to us what the current edh decks are all about and how each one worked. The decks were about 5 bucks over amazon price. But I dont mind that to support local businesses.

If you need miniatures, this is the place to go! If you dont need miniatures, pop in to just look at them all and you just might find something you cant resist! I was inspired to make a DnD themed nativity scene and will find everything I need right at this store!

Recently remodeled, they have more board games to check out. Clean and well organized. A bit expensive but not Barnes & Nobles expensive.

Great place for minifigs and paint. Huge selection of Warhammer manuals. Fairly good selection of manuals for pathfinder, starfinder, and d&d. Lots of dice.

This store is just amazing! If youre looking to start a deck the people behind the counter are so helpful, and they almost always have what youre looking for! If you have problems talking to people the staff is really easy to talk to. I probably come in more than once a month, and I havent had a single bad experience!I hope in time Ill get to link names to faces. Keep it put! Your team and services are great!

Nice little place for board and card games, and the many mini characters crafting games. They have games for sale in the front, tables in the back for tournaments, and a small room to the side to try out playing games with friends.

Fantasy Games is a unique store that specializes in all types of tabletop games. They even allow some games to be played in the store. Their prices are a little higher than what youd find online, but totally worth it for the service they provide.

I enjoy the freedom of being able to browse without the constant feel of the employees about to pounce at every chance to ask you if you need help. They ask in the beginning when you walk in but let you look without hounding you every 5 minutes. They are very nice when you do have a question. I really enjoy going and looking around.

Always hated this store when I was a kid because most stuff was always overpriced and the staff was always mean and short with you when asking for help. So it’s not surprising to see that after 15 years it’s still the same......Stop price gouging!! No idea how this place is still open....

Its just a new way of getting your mind out of everything that is happening now with this world so I give it a 4 rate.

From Magic to Pokémon, from Dungeons and Dragons to Warhammer 40k and everything between this place is the absolute hands down best place South Bend has ever had. There are other stores around, but no one has contributed so much to the gaming community. This store has been around for multiple decades and is the main reason gaming succeeded in the area. The owner and employees have always had a passion for the gaming industry and continue to contribute to this day. You will not regret investing time with this company and its community. If you have any interest in gaming of any sort this is the place to go.

Had no interest in negotiating prices regarding a relatively random MTG card. They were 6 dollars over TCG market and had no interest in negotiating prices. They would not even listen to me suggesting their prices may be incorrect because of their proprietary algorithm for pricing. This is not how one should handle business with a fluctuating card market. I would have spent something here had this not been my first interaction with them. Even offering more than TCG mid for the same card for in hand.

Anytime Im in South Bend, Fantasy Games is a must stop. They have tournaments here sometimes and my husband enjoys participating in those. Me on the other hand, I love looking at the dice and D&D books. I used to play MTG, so I do look at those cards sometimes and contemplate if I should make an updated deck.They sell a variety of gaming items. From dice, cards, books and figures, to binders, playmats, and deck boxes. The employees are nice and helpful.If you are into card games or D&D Id definitely stop by and check it out. They also have a loyalty program.

Full disclosure, im not one that hangs around for tornaments or FNM or anything so I cant judge that.. but over the years Ive got some 40k stuff from here, a few MTG products, and pre-ordered a few MTG boxes..And, I just feel like all the employees Ive interacted with except one guy have just been unpleasant, and Im not a fan of the way they do business.For example, between ordering and picking up my preorder.. at no point in time had I been told this didnt include the preorder promos... Hey customer, i know you thought it was 25$ more than just preordering on Amazon because you get the cool extra stuff that you dont get when preordering on amazon, but you were wrong friend, and thats on you, have a nice day.(For the record, I understand that there is a limited number of preorder promo stuff. But you dont just let customers think are getting the Preorder promos when they check out when you know you already ran out of promos. Calling later to see if it was a mistake, and then being told oh yeah no, we ran out a few days ago, thats why they werent in the bag, just isnt very cool.)Also last time I ordered, for some reason my stuff was 10$ more than my friends who also pre-ordered from them the same day I did.. and when I called to see if it was a mistake, i found out, no, its a feature, the website is set to automatically price-gouge based on sales..Anyway, theres at least one guy there thats pleasent and helpful, so take some stars.. but I finally decided I wont be back. And there are no other choices in the area, so hello Amazon from here on out..(Edit after response:I appreciate your response. I honestly dont remember what set or promo it was so it clearly wasnt the end of the world, but thank you for the offer.I cant argue how the pricing on the site works, but I do know that our purchases were the same day within a couple hours, and I know the prices were different, and I know the explanation we were given when we called to ask if there was a mistake was that thats how the site worked.Also.. my comment about not coming back was clearly just heightened frustration at the time because Ive pre-ordered with you again since this review =) and Ill probably do it again in the future. Great place to find board games on the mid to high spectrum of difficulty of learning/ weightiness. The thing is though, any place can just sell board games, the thing that makes fantasy games stand out is how awesome their staff is. They are all very knowledgeable about what they are selling but even better is that they don’t talk to you like a salesman or an elitist they talk on your level and make you feel welcome. Fantasy Games is a great place to buy board games, play board games, talk about board games and just a great place to hang out; would highly recommend Fantasy Games to anyone interested in the hobby of gaming.

This is my husbands happy place. He ised to be into warhammer but where we live there was no one close to play with. Now he is into D&D and loves to buy his figures and paints here. Its a 45min drive for is so its a treat when he gets to go there!

I wont lie; the store itself looked a little bit run down. overall I would recommend this place to someone looking for it Trading Card Game accessories or whatever they specialize in a lot of Magic the Gathering cards. It looked like they had a game room like a place where you can play in the back I dont know if they host game nights but that might be interesting to look into if youre interested in casually playing other people from around the area

Great friendly local game store! Very good stock of miniature, card, and boardgames. Friendly staff willing to order something if they dont have it in stock and good amount of space to play any variety of games. Lucky to have a place close by like Fantasy!!

Predominantly a gaming business with more play tables available in the back and to the side. Have a rewards program, with a lot of stuff for sale. If youre a warhammer or other miniatures game player this is your local shop to stop by. Very expansive selection. Tabletop and board games are also available. Even have snacks and drinks available, for those endurance gamers who cant be bothered to leave the best bits of the campaign.

This store had the card storage boxes I needed at a great price and also has a wide variety of sleeves with affordable options. They also have a diverse selection of board/card games outside of MTG.

This is the best game store in the area. They have the best table top selection in the area as well as a large gaming space. They have events everyday, they lean heavily towards Magic: The Gathering as a lot of these stores do but still have a good number of events for other card and tabletop games.

Great place for tabletop, board, and card games. They have a large selection from multiple different games here. I go for the Pathfinder material, and they keep it all organized in an order that actually makes sense. They also have a rewards for anybody who might become a frequent shopper.

I always have a great time seeking help with MTG cards. Everyone at the shop is super cool. Only gripe is they can get pretty excited & I get pretty lost in what theyre saying so I end up asking a lot more questions than I came in with.😅

Friendly staff, creative game nights, reasonable prices, excellent variety of games and gaming supplies. Not to mention I LOVE their hours. As a night owl, Im hard pressed to find a store I can swing by in the late evenings or after D&D get togethers.I dislike ordering items online and paying shipping, thankfully the staff at Fantasy Games will gladly order items they dont normally carry in stock. Specially ordered items generally arrive in a timely manner.

Decent selection. The fact no guns are allowed on premises is worrying as any wack job could walk in to cause trouble and no respectful law abiding carry citizen could exercise their 2nd amendment right to stop them.

Most disappointing lack of 40k community in the heart of a major college town and I found the source. It’s this game store. Total lack of support for local events and fails to offer anything of the sort in support of the products he sells in his store. This business is the very definition of toxic and I highly recommend that you find other great alternatives in the local area such as Heroes Haven in Michigan City Indiana, the Griffon of South Bend, Secret Door in Elkhart Indiana or Games Plus in Mt. Prospect Illinois that easily puts nearly all game stores in a five state area to shame.Highly not recommended!

Fantastic selection of Reaper, GW and other miniatures. Good play area in the back yeah inside. I regret that I dont know the players better since thats the only part that doesnt make this 5 star. Mark runs a well-kept store and his laser-cut to rain pieces made of MDF are so cool and, I get a lot of use out of them.

Holds special day events at the store for different types of games that allow anyone wanting to learn a genre of a game a good, clean atmosphere for anyone new to a game, or long time veterans of said games. To top it off, they buy certain cards that are needed for those games and also offer snacks and drinks to keep the gaming going throughout the night.

Can always count on them having the things I go in looking for.
