Im from Kentucky with family in Utah. Originally went to this store hoping to find some Magic cards for the kids as it came up in my google search for game stores in the area, what a happy accident! I knew almost nothing of Warhammer or Game Workshop products. Like most of the reviews I cant praise Ryans customer service enough. I love most his knowledge of all the areas of the hobby, from painting, to collecting, to tactical playing. He could teach a masterclass in finding out what makes customers tick without applying any pressure techniques to purchase, so refreshing and such a change from most buying experiences. Since that chance encounter many years ago now, I found I love painting minis and have progressed with the time Ive put in to making some decent projects and Im in my 50s, its never too late. My family come to Utah once or twice a year, and visiting with Ryan if only for 10-15 minutes at Warhammer has become part of the trip. Highly recommend.

Ryan who works here is probably the most kind, professional and knowledgeable salesperson of any product Ive ever purchased. Hes nuts, I purchased something a year ago and he remembered me and what I purchased. I dont even remember what I purchased.Cool people. Cool Place

Genuinely a very welcoming and helpful store. Employee took the time to make sure my son was getting exactly what he wanted in a special unit he had been searching everywhere for. Its a great place to help find what you need.

I find the employee I have met to be very knowledgeable about Warhammer and nice, yet I find the hours of the store to be too short.As a warning, if you want to start playing Warhammer be prepared to spend hundreds. The books are reasonably priced and comparable to D&D in price and size, but the miniatures could use a decent price knockdown. I would give a higher rating if the prices on the plastic miniatures were half the price.The paints for the miniatures are really top quality and are designed to go on in different layers. I like the variety of colors which also have creative names. I like the paint better than reaper paints. The Warhammer paint has the best consistency of all miniature paints I have tried.

The employee was extremely helpful, and he seemed super happy to be there. He let us stay after closing to explain the game to us and let us decide what we wanted. Extremely good customer service and lots of opportunities present at the store for painting, building, etc

Ryan is very kind and awesome to work with. I live in northern Utah, and he was able to make orders through the US GW warehouse and have it shipped to me without having to even leave my home. Highly recommend going to him for all of your Warhammer needs!

One of the most warm and welcome environments I have been in for a long time. Ryan is awesome and set me up with everything I need. I wish more stores were like this with their customer service. Will be back for all my future Warhammer wants and needs! I would give 10 stars if I could.

Guy who runs this store is very passionate and knowledgeable about warhammer and mini painting. He always offers his free painting class to us when we go in and always takes a second with each customer to make them feel important. Absolutely do yourself a favor and come here for any warhammer/mini purchase or question.

I am from out of town and stopped by to check out the store. The gentleman working the shop was supper nice. The customers were nice as well. I was there during the lunch time and some of the people invited me to lunch as well. After lunch they let me use there models and played a game of 40k with them. 100% would come back to the store

From out of town and Ryan took good care of us and I intend to come back next time I’m in town.

Took our YM tonight to learn about the game and how to paint. Ryan is the best there is. He was super patient with the boys, explained how to do each step and why we were doing it.

Been a fan of Warhammer for a few years now. When I found out there was an official store I knew i had to go in when I had the opportunity to buy some models, that opportunity was met with Ryan an amazing person who welcomed me in and helped me get started in my journey to collecting and playing Warhammer 40k. Great place, the guy running was able to help up pick out a set that would work for a project my son wanted to do. He made up some characters and wanted to make 3d models of them. While these one arent exact. We should be able to modify (kit bash) them to what hes thinking.

I have been here twice and it was a wonderful experience! I’m new to painting miniatures and Ryan was insanely helpful. He treats you like you’re the only person in the store and goes above and beyond.

I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I came in looking for D&D miniatures and was ready to walk out after seeing that you have to build and paint these sets. The store manager was very friendly and persistent in telling us about the sets around the stores. He offered us a free lesson in building a miniature and painting it, and promised it would be quick. The lesson was great! We were hooked. It was fun and made sense what the benefits of building and painting yourself vs. buying completed minis.The store manager certainly makes customer service a high priority. He was awesome.The attached picture is the set I bought from the store, with the beginner paint kit after I had a 10 min lesson from the store manager.Im excited to stop by for another painting class. Id recommend stopping in to try the shop out.

Lets get some things out of the way first. This is an exclusive retailer for Games Workshop products. So if you are looking for anything other than Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigman, citadel paints and accessories then this shop will not have it. Yes, the shop is very very small for a GW store. In fact, it is the smallest one I have ever seen. However, the staff more than makes up for small size of the shop.The one clerk that was on duty when I made my visit was very helpful and knowledgeable about the hobby. He made relevant suggestions and was able to save me a few bucks by showing me box sets that included the items I was after for a lower overall price. I told him I was trying out some new painting techniques and he not only understood what I was talking about but was able to recommend some shades that I had not considered. He made sure I knew about all the promotions the store had going that related to my purchases allowing me to come away with more than I had anticipated while staying within my budget for this trip.Overall, excellent customer service.

Finally decided to tip my toe in the 40K ocean, and Ryan was fantastically helpful. Spent almost an hour walking me through what was needed to play, recommendations on good starting sets, and was extremely helpful and friendly throughout. Even after I told him models are a bit too pricey for my wallet and Id probably buy on discount/used, he said that was a great choice and to swing by for events and lessons on painting/kitbashing.

Ryan the manager is an amazing tool for the hobbiest. From building of minis to helping people with which paint to use with their miniature ideas and how to use them...ON THE SPOT. As for the store? Well its a Games Workshop store so has a lot that you will be looking for. When its not COVID it is a great place to find a pickup game outside of scheduled events for that week. Or just to learn the rules from the other veterans of the hobby. Also provides painting/building tutorials regularly. Check the WARHAMMER-District Facebook page for future events. Cant count how many friendships Ive made and the strides Ive accomplished here. note: This is a GW store so you wont find things like board games or roll playing games that you might find at other places.

I also love that they do free expedited shipping for anything sent to the store. Its a little small and a little loud when a lot of people are there but it more than makes up for it and quality.

Ryan (who I always find working when I come in) is the heart and soul of everything that is good about tabletop games. He is extremely knowledgable about the Games Workshop products the store sells, about the hobby in general, and is genuinely interested in your projects; past, current, and future.The store itself is extremely organized, clean, and well-stocked. Youll often find people in the store playing on their gaming tables, which are clearly labors of love. The Warhammer store is simply a good place to be.

Walked in for the first time and spoke to Ryan. Probably the friendliest person Ive met in forever. Told him Im coming from the games and was interested in painting figures. He was extremely informative and passionate about our interaction and he has superb people skills.Genuinely got me excited to come in and start a new hobby with him as our mentor. Cant wait!!

Being a Stay at home mother has its pluses and minuses, but thankfully more pluses. I originally thought I would get into warhammer with my son, but turns out It was more for me than him. A mother of 4 in her 40’s... who new! I love this store and everyone in it. You will not be sorry, and who knows...you might surprise yourself like I did.

Being a retail manager myself, Im very rarely impressed by the customer service that I receive on the other side of the counter. Ryan, and his store, is a prime example of what a purchasing experience should be. Upon entering, he acknowledged my family and Is presence, excused himself from his current customer, walked over to introduce himself, and *gasp* shook my hand. He asked open-ended questions; not only from me, but my 8 year old son, as well. He was friendly, engaged in our visit, and helpful with information. There was not a push to buy this, or buy that. He truly presented himself as a genuine advocate of our interests, not a purveyor of goods. Additionally, I watched as he interacted with the continual flow of customers coming in, and noted that I was not the only customer to receive this level of attention. I was further impressed, as Ryan continued to return to my son and the conversation they were having. As someone entering into this hobby, I am reaffirmed that I am making a valid choice, based on Ryans awesome representation of his product, his company, and himself. I will be returning to Ryans store, and I look forward to experiencing a value that is so rarely offered in sales today. Thank you, Ryan!

I appreciate the way Ryan runs this store. People could teach lessons on customer service using this guy as the instructor. He greets every customer personally and has a powerful knowledge of his products. No pressure to buy and he gladly allows first time customers time to browse and watch the games being played so we can get an understanding of whats going on. I was a little surprised the prices on the items I bought were also a little cheaper than I found online. The store was also very active with people playing and painting. They have a good selection of paints and minis.

The manager there is hilarious, and the environment he has developed in the store is welcoming. A lot of regulars show up for gaming, and few for painting. And Ive been able to interact with these other hobbyists to help me gain more skills at what we all do. I love it!

As soon as I walked in a was welcomed by the employee and even some of the customers. The employee was busy helping another customer so I looked at the different games going on and the different products they had in stock. Once the employee was finished he came immediately up to me and greeted me with a handshake and welcomed me to the store. He asked what brought me into the store and answered all of my questions included suggestions on what to buy. After that he invited me to look at what was in stock and if I couldnt find anything he would be more then happy to order it for me. It was a very welcoming experience that I cannot wait to go back to the store.

Warhammer The District is NOT the closest store to me. In fact, I drive past at least 10 other local game stores that I know of to come here. Its a 45 minute drive for me but its entirely worth because of the manager. He knows all of his customers, remembers what armies you are working on, and make time to personally greet and shake the hand of EVERY person who walks in the door. If you could clone him and put him in every store across the US, GW would take over completely.

Absolutely fantastic service

They have a decent selection in store, but still some specific items are on their website only. Ryan is very knowledgeable and friendly and will give you information you need like mentioning a new codex coming out with new units that you may want to add to your army. If you are a new player or coming back to the game after many years Ryan makes you feel welcome and helps set you up. This is probably gunna be my go to place for warhammer items.

Its a very friendly and helpful environment, I know the current manager is moving and being replaced soon, so tbc. Also, its an investment of a hobby, its a little pricey, but you wont need to buy things often! Plus, its got great lore, a way to express your own creativity, and socialize as a nerd.

I love Warhammer figurines but theyre the most overpriced pieces of plastic of ever played with Ill just stick with like melting little plastic army men into the shapes of mechs and just paint them as best I can

Its great to have a store dedicated to Games Workshops leading products: Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and Warhammer 40,000.The manager knows the products really well, and doesnt push to buy things. You can even go in and just paint or assemble models with no pressure to buy anything.However, the store is dedicated to an expensive but very enjoyable hobby, so be warned its easy to go over budget.

I am 33 years old I have been gaming just about my whole life in one way or anouther, Ryan is hands down the best store manger at a game store I have ever encountered, He just might be one the customer repastentive person I have ever meet, hands down a nice place to go to and play for beginners. Currently Scott is in charge of the store, he is a awesome dude and can be funny. He is very knowledgeable on painting and understands how the games are in lore, hobby, and play very well.

It is a fun place because the store manger so really helpful and silly when you play that first game after painting your first figure(one down side is that it is not cheap a big starter set cost 160 so come if you want to spend a lot of money)

GW run shops are okay. Independent stores are usually better.

Waited in line for 50 minutes on warhammer day to get the bronze AOS objective markers. Get to the register and was told yah we sold those out already. Couldnt tell us when they ran out while we waited in line. What a waste of time.
