After looking for a place to rent a bike, we rented here: Easy, quick and super friendly staff! It’s a good place to rent the bikes since you are already out of the road and you have the bike trail starting from there, in couple of hours you can visit different beaches and the Fallen Leave Lake! They have all sort of bikes (if you don’t wanna do anything too hardcore with the cruiser you will be fine! They are quite light and comfy). The prices are more competitive than other shops in the town. Highly recommend!

Extremely happy with my experience with South Shore Bike company. The owner was very pleasant over the phone and when I showed up him along with staff really helped me make a decision on what mountain bike to buy. They assembled the bicycle together and while it was happening let me ride a rental complimentary to enjoy. If you are in the market for a bike call them!! Thanks again gentlemen.

Rented some of their confort cruiser bikes for 10$ an hour to go through the pope-beach and further trail, they were great: good tires to go a little off path and hand-breaks! Staff was very cool! Will rent there again!

I highly recommend this place.I rented a full suspension mountain bike for my girl. The price was perfect and I cant say enough about the service. Those guys are not just there because they like bikes. They really want to turn you on to cycling in beautiful Lake Tahoe. They recommended great local trails perfect for my novice girl who was stoked. They discouraged the hard stuff and pointed us to trails challenging but super fun. Go there for the price, service, and knowledge.

Went to these guys for new tires. Ended having to go back 3 times and spent over $200. Tires went flat next day. Went to another bike shop and found they used a very small amount of old sealant. A lot of money for bad workIn relpy to you guys losing the service tags. This was when you were located next to SUP

We rent mountain bikes here. Staff is very friendly and helpful.Full-suspension bike (Giant) is 45$ for half day.Just the conditions of the rental helmets is very bad.

Came up from San Diego to do some riding but arrived with a gear slipping. Called these guys up and told them my dilemma as I was only going to be here for a week. Travis said bring it in and he will see what he could do it was 30 minutes before closing. They had backlog but he said he would take a look and see if he could help me out. Turned out it was a bad Cog. He was working passed closing time when he gave me a call and said I could come get it. Had my bike back within a hour. Fixed and ready to go. I was not overcharged. Awesome guys and Travis had it squared away. Don’t hesitate to give these guys a call.

Great service! My shock pump failed, so I asked to borrow a shock pump and was taken care of like I had just bought my bike there. Outstanding!

We rented from them a few months ago. Reasonable. Helpful. Informative. Great tips for sight seeing for us non-locals. Made for a great day. As we think of going back to SLT, I think we will definitely revisit the shop.

Kyle handled a small, yet critical repair to my cruiser. Here as a tourist and he repaired my shifter. Didnt sell me a new kit, didnt charge me a dime, just got me right. He could have easily got me for $40-50 without a complaint, but he didnt. You know those bike shops full of passionate riders, thats this place. Come and be cool, youll find the help you need.

We were set up just right for a great ride. Prices were reasonable and service is great.

Had my first full-squish rental experience with these guys and the entire experience was outstanding! As others have said, they are not out for your money. They genuinely want to make sure you have a great time out on their bikes. Will DEFINITELY be planning more riding around the South Shore area and paying these guys a visit. Brought my bike in for a tune up. Bike came back in poor condition with scratches all over and something sticky all over it. Looked like it was stored outside up against other bikes. Reflector fell off when I took it back to them. They put it back on but told me that they hadn’t touched the bike for 9 days although it was there the whole time. Cleaned it up a bit and just apologised. Asked if I could leave it with them for another hour but I felt it would get more damaged. Very, very disappointed. It is really hard to support local businesses when they treat a $1500.00 bike this way. I will never go back. I will also make sure that none of my customers from my two resorts go there.

We were wanting to purchase bike parts on our ride and as we were horrified they were not open on Mondays, for the season has quieted down, but they happened to be near by and asked us what we needed and went ahead and opened up and took care of our needs! Ive stopped in this bike shop quite a few times & I have to say I keep going back there because they all KNOW bikes, theyre very friendly & desirous of being helpful for you. I know it isnt because Im a regular customer, bcuz Im not. Maybe stop in once or twice in 2 or 3 months bcuz I need something for our bikes. :-{D. 6/2019 My wife had her bike serviced early this month, when I paid the bill I had the exact amount in cash, but I had $160 in 20s in one pocket & more $ in my money clip in the other. I had a $10 bill in my money clip & used it to pay. I had set the wad of $20s on the counter & forgot it when I left. A service guy found it, set it aside knowing someone would call about it. I called just at closing time when I realized I had left my $$ there. I picked it up the next day - all of it. Hows THAT for good people?
