The Java House Café was so much more than I expected. The modern design fooled me as I entered the business.The inside is all open and inviting. I was drawn right away to the amazing homemade items that lined the left side of the café. Crochet bags/purses, animals, stoneware and jewelry. I just loved the attractive and cozy area by the fireplace to relax and enjoy!Oh and the coffee and lunch were perfect.I enjoyed a Mocha Latte and the broccoli cheese soup with a side of bread for lunch. A great choice for this chilly fall day here in Michigan. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating area too. The prices are reasonable for this kind of café.The friendly and engaging staff is wonderful and charming to chat with. Stop in and relax, you will enjoy the company and yoyr surroundings.

Super duper delicious and awesome spot! So happy I found them! Their menu is super robust and filled with fantastic options. The atmosphere is open and airy. They kept it clean, wiping down tables and felt super comfortable. Plus, they came by with a complimentary coffee that they made, asked if we would like it, instead of tossing it. How thoughtful! I appreciate that in customer service. Ill definitely be back and become a regular here! The food and drinks I ordered were also very delicious, made well and the quality of food product was really good! It went above my expectations. If youre ever in South Lyon and want a relaxing spot to spend time with a loved one over a light meal and drinks or just to work. This is it! Their wifi is FAST too! Major Plus!!!!

Great coffee shop. Awesome menu selection. Smells great of course. I got a frozen coffee shake. I cant remember what they call them there, but it was delicious. Plenty of seating inside. Even a fireplace area if I remember correctly. Cool little local crafters section with items for sale. Its great to see the support for the community. It looked like they also have an open mic night or something about to happen. Cool coffee shop. I would recommend!

Hands down the best latte and cappuccino. Very pleasant atmosphere and great choices for snacks and breakfast. Favourite coffee shop.

Super homey space. There are plenty of tables and a comfy almost living room like area. The owners are friendly and attentive. When you enter you are greeted with amazing crafts by local crafters. I got the chai latte and it was super yummy!

Ordered a Cortado and they made it wrong...twice. Had to throw it away.

Excellent coffee/espresso drink menu, light fare food, also shakes and ice cream.Then they sell & grind beans by the pound- the good stuff like Costs Rican, Kenya AA, ext. Gift shop with hand craft stuff as well,. Best of all - owners are Christ believers so they post scripture on a chalkboard, play christian rock on musac system- very peaceful vibe .

This place is amazing! We usually order on DoorDash and everything is always delicious. Try the broccoli cheddar soup (it’s WAY better than Panera) and I’ve loved every sandwich I’ve tried. The coffee is always strong and the baked goods are so fresh and perfect.

Had two different types of coffee (free refills during a single stay) - one Sumatran and one Brazilian and both were very fresh and nicely roasted (light to medium) plus a pastry that was very fresh. Nice atmosphere for meeting another person or small group and a local alternative to the chains.

This restaurant somehow is so wholesome that they remember my name and remembered when I ordered my drink wrong to help me correct it through doordash even leaving me a sweet note reminding me that I forgot to add cream to my Italian soda the fact that they pay so close attention to every order and even the names of the people that order them is really meaningful

Phenomenal coffee. Dark chocolate coffee specialty was amazing. Huge cafe. Great atmosphere. Many food options, sandwiches, vegetarian options, and the soup of the day was vegan. 4 stars because of the creepy kids reading christian hymns on Friday night poetry night.

I love this place! Cozy cozy and the chicken fajitas are really good. They have cheese cake among other desserts, salads and of course coffee.. Staff is always really sweet although very quiet, but is that a bad thing? Nope 😊

Java House Cafe is amazing! Ive been doordashing from here for a few years now and every experience has been great. Only once has something gone wrong and it wasnt huge (out of an ingredient), yet I still ended up with a gift card in my bag. I truly appreciate the love and care they put into their food and drinks. Sometimes I even get cute notes back! I highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches on Ciabatta bread with a double chocolate muffin! ❤

Nice enough location but the management is Horrible. I saw what I believe was the owner yelling at one of his staff members. The young girl made the wrong drink and he snapped. BIG HOT HEAD... They have stated that they are a christian business but by the evidence of his attitude he should be working at a truck stop. I would love to see him talk that way to a man.

Friendly service, great coffee/food, nice seating, also sells bags of coffee and has a selection of loose leaf tea from Metropolitan Tea Company. Even sells wares from local artisans.

I come here a lot and over the years I feel like the space is being super cramped and the quality of everything is going down. All the staff is super nice, but they keep adding random things into the room which makes the space super cramped. I keep getting attacked by this random fake tree by the couch because the space is taken over by random things. :( They use to have open tables all over that made it easier to sit and chat, but now they are all pushed VERY CLOSE together. Staff is nice, except for this one guy, but overall nice in and out coffee. just dont stay too long or you will feel claustrophobic. Also they could use some new furniture unless you would like to be stuck in a couch for a couple hours.

My wife and I each purchased an ice cream sunday on 6-10-18. The chopped peanuts on them were very very stale. I mentioned it to the young man behind the counter. He offered no apology or never assured me that those chopped peanuts would be replaced with fresh chopped peanuts.

The staff have all been friendly whenever I have stopped by for a latte. And I’ve really enjoyed the quality of the espresso here; I definitely recommend them for your daily caffeine fix.

Best coffee shop in the span of South Lyon to Novi as far as Im concerned (and as far as I have learned to drive comfortably hehe.) Have been a loyal customer for a few years now and you wont find service like this anywhere else. Absolutely wonderful staff and adorably comfy surroundings. 500 stars!

Horrible rude staff. The man who is a owner is very rude and the older lady that works afternoons is super rude kick people out over nothing they say they are Christian will act nice then in a finger snap they will turn on u i highly doubt they are Christian horrible attitudes

So disappointing!! I always try to support local businesses over large corporations but this time I wish I had gone to Starbuck’s instead! They have a very awkward setup- a huge room with uncomfortable/ outdated seating. I have to admit, they have a decent website as that’s what swayed me to going in the first place. It seems like they have really yummy fresh food on the web- but when you go there it all looks pretty questionable… A lot of it looks like it’s been there for a long time, and the expensive paninis were terrible!! My friend got a wrap sandwich that was sloppily made and not being sure about the menu I ordered a grilled cheese Panini. The bread tasted off and I believe she just put velveeta in between the bread and toasted it…? I could make food that looks like that at home, I don’t expect that kind of quality when you pay $12 for a coffee and sandwich! The woman who was working when we were in there (the owner?) was VERY RUDE! My friend and I were very polite, always saying “please” and “thank you”- I don’t think she even looked at us once, only spoke to us to give us our totals, didn’t even say anything let alone “you’re welcome” when she dropped the food off at our table… Definitely not going back there again! Awful! :(
