AMAZING staff super friendly always helpful. This is definitely the place! I find myself there far more often than I need to be but sometimes it’s just fun to browse there too.

A bit of an odd return experience. Purchased a couple of items at the Livonia Great Lakes Ace using my credit card. Unfortunately, I misplaced my receipt. The return caused commotion. I thought having a rewards number would have simplified the process. Instead it took 10 minutes to process the return and then give me a store credit which I then had to spend.

I love it so much I go there multiple days every week

TALK ABOUT SERVICE!I walked in needing a very specific bolt for my snowblower. I was prepared to be looking through trays of nuts for the next hour. Not so, here at Great Lakes Ace. Within 10 feet of entering, I was politely and genuinely asked by John, without any sense of pressure, if I needed any help. I explained for what I was looking, showing him on one of their snowblowers and he immediately made my problem his problem and went to work putting bringing all of his 60ish years (sorry if Im wrong) of experience to bear. I was in and out of there within minutes, happy, prepared for my task at hand and encouraged that good service is a staple item here. Ill be back. :)

For a bigger chain their supply of common use items is very limited, staff were oblivious to the customers that were in the store other than the elderly woman that they followed around like kids looking to move up on the inheritance list. I will stick with Bud Martins Hardware from now on.

Pro: Good selection of tools and garden supplies. Convenient, quick generally.Con: Gloves and many other items are OVERPRICED. Online you can get some of these things for half the price.COME ON RETAILERS, get with the program and start to really compete with Amazon and eBay and other online retailers.Even in our 50s and 60s PLUS, were not all fuzzy-brained, white-haired oldsters who dont know how to turn on a smartphone and wouldnt know an app from a pap smear.

Only could get three stars for this place because their prices are kinda outrageous! The staff are very friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. Im just used to the old Aco that was there that had all these cool deals and their prices were within my cost basis.
