Ace hardware is a large store. They have most everything your looking for, and prices aren’t bad. Every time I go, theirs really not much of a crowd either, so I’m in and out, which is good. The sales are good, I try to take advantage of them, and most things are quality grade. Staff and checkers are all really helpful and nice. So all in all, this store is A-OK!!

As a larger example of ACE Hardware stores in the area, it has more of everything.– I found it refreshing to be able to buy the exact quantity of exactly what I needed instead of necessarily over-buying as with Home Depots packs & bundles.* example: one Home Depot drain hair-catcher included bolt hardware with incompatible thread size -- it did Not even match the standard drain/lever combo also sold at Home Depot!– To create my own threads?Home Depot: sells only 2 options: 1 Die Tap-and-Die Kit (that did Not include needed thread sizes) or a smaller sub-1-inch Die Tap-and-Die KitACE: each full sized 1 Die are available individually, my purchase precisely matched my threading needs -- I wasnt forced to buy the full Tap-and-Die Kit

I must say Im a new customer to Ace Hardware and I love this store. The people there are so kind and helpful. Today I went there with my dad and we were met by Gary to assist us for what we were looking for. He was awesome and very helpful. Gary has great customer service and made sure he led us the whole time until we found everything we needed. He even went out of his way to get us a shopping cart. It was an amazing experience once again at this Ace location. Much Gratitude Gary!!!

Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from these ace hardware locks. I picked this up because they were out of long shackle master locks.Went over to the key area and asked if they could make keys for a new lock and got a yes. Key guy started making 5 keys with a master lock head shaped key because they were out of the correct key. Come to find out he decided he would modify the head to work which wasnt acceptable to me. If youre going to sell a lock, sell the correct key.3 different places to make keys later, I truly regret having even bought this lock. Ive spent more time, gas, and money on keys that dont work I literally could have purchased two more expensive master locks (had they been in stock at ace or purchased elsewhere).Thanks ace, you werent the helpful place this time.

The employees are really courteous, and helpful. Prices are fair and reasonable. They have an awesome selection of gardening tools.

My theory on hardware stores is; when a new franchise store,.like this one, opens - they are required to fully stock the store with the required inventory. So, this store has everything, and I do mean everything, in stock. For now at least. I like it.

Great deal on red trash containers. Clean, well stocked aisles. Nice, clean restrooms.

Disappointed, first time since ACE took over .its pretty much how orchard left it. Went there looking for drainage supplies but they only had bits and pieces nothing really to work with .

An awesome place. Clean, friendly, staffs always available with no wait or search. If you’ve been to Home Depot you know what I’m talking about. The prices are minute higher than Home D but the service make up for the difference.

I ordered the OFF repellent online and do self pick up at this location. Plenty of parking and fast pickup process. Also I got a great deal on the price.

Clean, fairly well stocked though one would think a large operation like this would have pole saws and extensions. They do carry pruner/saw combos - nothing a pro would use.Still, better than Home Depot and closer than Lowes.

All my dogs and all my goats have (or have had) Ace Hardware of South Pasadena tags. I love them because they are sturdy and they lay on the collar rather than dangle. They are easy to read and i feel sure if one of my animals were to get lost, it would be easy for the finder to contact me. I also got great service when I needed a question answered.Don is pretty awesome for such a busy guy.

Love this store. Some of the bigger ticket items are a bit pricey. But the customer service and selection are great as well as the overall vibe is just great!

Best tag I have ever bought. Sturdy. Hangs on tight. Text is etched in deep. Lots of room to add all of my dogs info and her rabies number. Also, my dog doesnt try to eat it like the rest of her tags.

Great service, staff, selection, and prices. Staff have always been kind and professional. Huge selection of wonderful plants and products. My tomatoes from their nursery last year produced enough from 2 plants to feed myself, the neighborhood, and made canned tomatoes twice.

When the store first opened I was impressed with the selection of first rate tools, barbecue equipment and hardware. I stopped by to pick up tomato cages and some other things that I needed. When I asked about the cages two employees told me that the cages I wanted had not been checked in yet so they could not sell them to me. I told them you are telling me I should go to Home Depot they said something like, If thats what you want to do.I went to the service desk I asked the guy working at the desk about the cages and the prices, he wouldnt listen to my questions. He had the wrong cages brought to the front for me.I went to Home Depot and bought all that I needed without the snarky attitude and at a lower cost.

Hands down the best dog tags ever at any price. The engraving does not fade or rub off and they do not rust. I have used the tags attached with an S hook, the split flat tags for nylon collars and the tags you rivet to your dogs collar. I have not lost any tags (or dogs for that matter). I highly recommend these tags to family and friends.

I love this local hardware store, not too big, its like stepping back in time and getting that personal service! Wonderful helpful staff.

Key CuttingWebsite said they could cut keys for my 2011 Honda Odyssey. I went to the store and the person working the key counter said they could not cut keys for my car.I recommend calling to double check what you need.

This is the second time I have ordered ID Tags from Ace Hardware of South Pasadena and have been completely satisfied. They last as long as your dog does without wearing away. I have had other tags that after a while you couldn’t read them because of them wearing off. I have recommended these tags to other family members.

I have used Ace Hardware of South Pasadena Tags several times over the years. They have a quality product that lasts. I have only had to replace the tags when I moved or gotten a new dog. You get a great durable tag at a reasonable price.

This Ace Hardware is larger than most Ive seen. It is in the old Orchard Hardware building. Because of the large size of this store, they have the room for for more stock and a very good selection. Definitely will be my go to hardware store from now on.

No one picks up the phone. Called at 2:15pm on a Thursday. A multi-million dollar company that cant pick up the phone. Wow. Really unacceptable and frustrating.

Large store to replace the osh that was here before. nice selection of materials and tools for all kinds of projects. ended up here looking for some sandpaper and masks and the staff were all friendly and helpful. staff was nice and helpful with my toddler in tow. they had popcorn out as well and the rewards program was easy to sign up. could be here for hours exploring with easy parking

Tags are great - really like how securely they fit to the collar. Shipping was fast and I feel much better having these tags on each dog’s collar.

Online order to curbside pickup took 48 hours. 10-minute wait for curbside pickup. Next time, will just go inside and buy. Update: I was told system was down. Hopefully curbside pickup will take less time.

Very friendly service. Have a question you can ask them. There are usually 2 or 3 employees on the floor and walking by throughout the aisles. Here you can go get tools, items for gardens, there is dog and cat food here. A variety of outdoor seating and sheds.

Yaya was super helpful today with helping me with a fan. Was in the middle of contemplating shopping around, just before I almost left she informed me of a return item that I was interested in. I was so excited its too hot and I couldnt deal with one more night if heat. She also signed me up for your rewards program and gave me a 25% coupon. The food is pretty darn good and worth the visit. Just don’t expect anything fancy here because this is a true southern café in a really old building with very friendly, laid back waitresses that look to have been working there for the last 50 years. Ate here twice - breakfast on the 17th and Lunch on the 18th - Happy both times.

The price was quite reasonable as well. The tags seem to be of good quality, although I cant yet comment as to how well they hold up, since I have only had them on my dogs collars for a short while so far.

This Ace Hardware Store is situated at one of the worst locations. Extremely difficult to be parked your vehicle. Interior is crowded w/disarray items. It reminded me of some corner hardware stores in Brooklyn. I usually am enjoy stopping by Ace Hardware but boy not this one. WOW! BAD!

They have a great selection of firewood, which is why I go there. I like that I find items that I wont find at other hardware stores. For example, they have a wider selection of organic plant food.

I really liked this hardware because the staff is very friendly and helpful and because they have a very large variety of tools, hand soaps and trash canss for the garden among other things. The only down side is that they dont have enough indoor trash cans and they dont have a very large assortment of rodenticides to choose from. But I guess no business is completely perfect. They can only do so much for their customers. At least they do their utmost to help you find whatever you need if you cannot find it yourself and that is what counts. For example, the lady who was at the register charging all the customers brought my mom and me a metal container with a handle and a lid to store our puppys food and she sent one of the guys who works here to help us find the rodenticides and the trash cans. I highly recommend this chain of stores and I sincerely hope that they remain in business for many years to come because they are so friendly and helpful and because they sell all their items at very reasonable prices. This is the largest ACE I have ever been in. They have friendly staff and tons of selection of the every home necessities. I went to look at tools which they also have a large selection so you can see and hold them prior to buying them.
