In South Plainfield NJ the store uses all of the flat carts and u boats to store stuff on because their employees are too lazy to restock returns or overstock leaving nothing but shopping carts for customers to use. I saw 3 people in the parking lot waiting for the 2 flat carts they left for us lowly customers to use to become available. As you can see in the pictures why that is.Add to that they didnt even have the product I was looking for. So I open up the app which said Watchung had 2 so I drive all the way there only for the Milwaukee rep to tell me they sold the last saw I wanted to purchase days ago. Why does the app say you have 2? It doesnt get updated he says.Flabbergasted and frustrated I ask him to check other stores. He whips out his little home depot phone and says Union and Vauxhall has several. I say, the app says that but it also says Watchung had 2. Instead of offering to call he shrugged said he was sorry and walked away.Maybe I should just stop shopping there
Went to buy paint & associated accessories. Home Depot associate Raynard was very knowledgeable & helpful to walk us through a variety of options of quality, cost, aesthetics, types of choices available for exterior doors painting. He suggested also whats good for us, in our situation on various parameters. I also eyed on $9.99 Oops solutions which were returns from customers or mistakes those were shelved for fire-sale!!!Finally one gallon and a roller for approx $35, and we were done!

Good Store. As expected from Home Depot. The employees are very polite and always happy to help. Last week I visited on a busy Saturday to get an outdoor grill and despite of being super busy, the employees were very helpful. They even helped me load the grill into my car (not a job for one person alone). I am very thankful!

Very well stocked store. Service people are also very helpful. Whenever I enter this store I forgot what I want to buy as I dragged by various displays. Its so much well organized, finding a product is very easy. Only once I had problem while buying online a washing machine. The merchandise return process is complex and tricky. If u don’t want return that within 20 days or else they will never take it back. Otherwise Home Depot is always the go to store for any home owners.
Walked around for ten mintues looking for help, and when I did finally get someone they were on their phone the whole time. I could understand if the store was packed but it really wasnt. And thank goodness I couldnt find what I was looking for because there was one line to check out and the five people in line seemed more passed and annoyed than I was.
Was about to buy appliances and ready to pull the trigger and was told that Military Discount doesn’t apply on Appliances. I questioned that and asked for the policy, I say this because not too long ago I bought a refrigerator and 10%military discount was applied.I then asked for the manager who’s name was Jackie, and short and simple“We can’t apply it because we don’t know how to”That’s the answer. So we are not even going to try and figure it out?So now it’s time to call Corporate because if your General Manger doesn’t know how to apply Military discount then maybe your general manger should just be a cashier?Y’all post Veteran’s parking, Purple Heart Parking but when it’s time to use the discount y’all don’t know how to do it?Sad.

This is HomeDepot and I was only able to find the frameless shower door bottom strip and not the side strips, reasons there are so many door models that the store does carry. The advice I got was tech out to the manufacturers, alas if I knew who it was. Any way ended up replacing the bottom one and now need to find the side ones😁
I did the curbside pick-up and that wasnt bad! I didnt have to go into the store and make any impulsive purchases like I always do. The process was simple and convenient!
Typical Home Depot. Few staffed registers, so lines can be a little long when its busy. They try to push everyone over to self service for checkout. Sometimes hard to find an associate for help but theyre very helpful when you find someone.
Theres this extremely rude spanish lady at returns counter she has a skin disorder vitiligo. Be careful. I had to return a lock that I bought an hour ago because the screws werent lining up and she said I am returning old used lock and keeping the new one. I dont even have that type of lock at home. Very judgemental. Home Depot please give her some training on how to treat customers. Very rude. This is not the first time Ive had to deal with this rude lady.

My daughter and I went shopping for patio tile at the Home Depot in South Plainfield on Monday September 24. We were trying to figure out which tile would be best and the weight of them. A young man walked up to us and asked if we needed help. It turns out it was an associate, Darren, on his way to clock in. He was extremely pleasant and eager to help us, even before he clocked in. I was in almost in shock by his willingness to help. He weighed the tiles (they were 80lbs each) and told us how many we could safely transfer in the car at a time. And he held the remaining tile for our second trip. Darren provided the most exceptional customer I have had in years. He went above and beyond to help us. When we left the store I was overwhelmed with happiness all due to this superb individual. Through this global pandemic people have been so scared to be around others. But Darren (wearing his facemask) did everything he could to make our shopping experience easy and enjoyable. I will definitely be back to this specific location and keep an eye out for Darren. Thank you so much for all your hardwork and dedication to helping others.

We were out of town and swung by to grab what we needed. They provided exactly what we needed. I mean, its Home Depot. They are awesome with everything, including customer service. What more could you want?
Everything I get there is an easy access. Im always in home Depot getting something for my house. Always in and out.
I havent had good experiences with this vendor. They dont honor their actions and treat their long time customers like criminals when reporting immediately items from your order werent received and they guaranteed you, you wouldnt be responsible then allowed the recipient of your ordered items to return the items to the store and get your money back and sue you long time reporting customers for the items you never received. So not only did i have to pay once but pay twice AND have my credit ruined.
This is one of my two go-to hardware stores. Their inventory isnt always accurate compared to the website, but their staff is usually helpful and friendly. Their panel saw isnt always well maintained or the operator doesnt always seem to know how to make a clean cut so if you need large boards cut down, be aware that you may have significant chip out. Their lighting section was also pretty unorganized the last time I visited.

The staff here are always happy to help me load my truck. Most Home depot stores dont bother helping out even if I ask them.... this store steps up to help me out each and every time I shop there. Therefore I tend to drive twice as far to their store passing by another home depot that is less helpful.

***This review is based solely on todays interaction with Mr. Lopez in Appliances. One star because zero is not an option.***I received an appliance delivery on 4/7/2021. The dishwasher was unboxed and installed today (plumbing & electric). There is nothing wrong with the exterior of the dishwasher. There are styrofoam pieces within the dishwasher. When one of the styrofoam pieces was removed, it uncovered a broken joint and the left side of the dishwashers second rack collapsed. I immediately called Home Depot and was quickly connected to Mr. Lopez. He didnt listen to a word I said. He was talking over me and referenced someone hitting the dishwasher with a 2x4 (which I never stated; because is never happened). He told me to contact Samsung - never provided the number so I called the number located on the inside of the users manual.
This is the worst Home Depot around. They would NOT take a return that I bought with a receipt the day before. Now im stuck with a brand new product that I dont need. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!
Went there to get few plywood sheets 4x8 and came back empty handed. Saw was broken and I cannot fit them full length.Advise? Call before you go or get it from somewhere else.On positive side, lumber section mgr was nice enough to apologize, showed me 4x4 limited stock which was pricy. HD @ Bridge water is more often out of stock than not. This place was at least well stocked

Home Depot is my place to go when I am doing projects and I go there ALOT
This single star rating is for the paint department. I have been working on a bathroom remodel for a few weeks. I went to this location to get a wallpaper steamer to remove the wall paper and then glue. I am well aware that ripping down the drywall may have been easier; however, I didnt want to deal with joint compound and the mess from that. When I arrived at the paint department I asked where I could find wall paper remover gel(DIF) and a wall paper steamer. The employees had no clue what I was talking about and told me they no longer carried the steamers.I personally have always found that when you cant get a clear answer in one department you go to another and the employees in hardware and tools are always my go to. I asked the employee in hardware for what I was looking for; he told me it was definitely in the paint department, and walked me to the aisle and bin where I could find the item and sure enough there were 4 wall paper steamers. Hardware employees deserve a raise, those employees know that store inside and out.

I will say that this Home Depot location almost always has what I need in stock and is generally a decent experience but unfortunately there is a lot to that should be done to improve the store’s operation. For example, today I visited this location for some items to complete a home repair and found their checkout lines were being completely mismanaged. I appreciate that there is an effort to maintain social distancing during this time but the way it’s being implemented is causing confusion and customer frustration. When I approached the register I entered in line 6 feet or so from the customer being served at the register when I was addressed from behind by a security officer instructing me the line starts about 25 feet behind me. There are no markings indicating this and at the time I entered the line there was no other customer in line. To make matters more frustrating when I moved to the spot I was instructed to I was now roughly one foot from the security officer. How does it make sense to move me from a spot where I’m properly distances to a spot where I could be holding hands with their employee? Already frustrated with this poorly implemented operation, the security officer then allowed two other customers who had just walked up to enter the “line” to go directly to the register. Why was I handled differently?I understand that this is a difficult time but corporate needs to visit these stores and visualize the process. It’s a mess. The store is more crowded than Ive seen it recently and customer satisfaction and safety are suffering.To Home Depot corporate staff, I get it. This is a difficult time. I’m personally dealing with some of the same issues within my own employment but that’s not an excuse. Visit the store and see for yourself. Please fix your process. I expect better from a large chain with all of the resources you have available. If this was how my staff implemented a process I would not only be embarrassed, I would be answering some difficult questions from above.
I called to speak with someone about a Warranty Claim, and was absolutely delighted to have spoken with Deborah, I believe from Customer Service (sorry if I’m wrong) she was so through in he information, that I was able to receive a 100% credit toward a new item from the Manufacture! Then upon returning the faulty product to the Store, I was equally impressed with Bill at the Customer Service Counter, for being so patient with my unique situation. Thank you both for one of the best HD experiences ever!

Worst home depot. You just never get any help here. I asked where I could find bath fittings and the folks near the isle and the checkout counter are like “Should be here. But I dont know” . She said she will call the expert. The expert never arrives. One guy was waiting for 15 mins to speak to the expert. Had one of the work experience here. I ordered for hardwood floor. They confirmed the inventory and scheduled the pickup for today morning. When I went with the truck, they said they don’t have the inventory and cancelled my order. Worst customer service

Poor customer service, waited at the help desk for 20 minutes only to be asked if I needed help and then told someone would be with me soon. Them watched as staff walked out of the building. This place is poorly managed and very understaffed.

They need more customer service personnel. It took 10 to 15 minutes to find out you cant get an estimate for a bath tub install from the store. You get it by calling the 800 number.

They usually have what I need. Customer service could definitely be improved at this specific store. It took like three employees to try and hunt down a chainsaw I wanted just to come back to me and tell me that the one I asked for was in stock but not in the store.

I had such a wonderful experience picking out a Christmas tree from the nursery at this location. There was a great selection, reasonable pricing, and EXCEPTIONAL help from the gentleman who helped cut my tree. First off, I am a customer who comes into this Home Depot from time to time.. and I notice that ALOT of customers are rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate of the essential workers there. People really need to come correct and learn how to be mature when they’re in public. You see how they act out in public and it shows how they really act at home and it’s a shame. Other than that, the workers seem to do what they can, and are helpful. 👍🏽👍🏽
I recently had a door installed with Home Depot. The door came three weeks late and damaged. When i try to get in touch with my installation manager he doesn’t answer. They say there’s a warranty on the door but if you can’t get in touch with anyone what’s the point. Never using Home Depot for installation again expensive and poor service.

It’s decent size . Executives are not much interested to sell their product especially I can say about appliance department. They does not have good product knowledge. The sales person ( his code - MXL4763) really rude and non professional person . He even not interest sale the items . I asked need product and tell the price but his first question do you budget to buy because he has has to sit on computer which may disturb his chat with his colleague . after sale service is horrible. Product is not deliver on time if you call they just tell he dont know and call some third party delivery person whom i even dont know . I would try to avoid this shop if possible and try to visit alternative if available ( other Heome depo, try them )Delivery appliance is horrible . If you call for delivery they will react like we bought appliance from delivery company not from @homedepot .

I ordered a 2,000 PSI 1.2 GPM Cold Water Electric Pressure Washer with 12 in. Surface Cleaner. They said they had 10 in stock online for that store I said cool try to get it delivered for 8.99 . I get a call from them saying they dont have the combo . But wanted to charge me an extra $38 dollars extra for everything. I will never buy at this home depot again

I had the worst customer service experience by Zack in the rental department . I went in to rent an aerator and overseeder to work on my yard . He insisted that neither of the machines would fit into my Honda Pilot . He talked me out of renting the machines with his Obnoxious Rude attitude . While I was there he made it difficult fir other customers to rent there as well . I had to delay my project for a week and come back with a rental to pick up the machines . We checked online both machines were available . When we came in he said the overseeder is on hold . We called a manager and told him about our experience and ask for the overseeder . Zacks told him the overseeder is on hold for the guy with a Honda Pilot that could not fit the overseeder inside his car . Guess who is the guy with the Honda Pilot !The manager said the hold is for 2 hours . We got the aerator and came back the overseeder is still there . The biggest issue is that both machines fit into my Honda Pilot and I returned the overseeder in my Pilot because I had to return my rental . Zach did not just provide my with the worst customer service experience and delayed my project a week and tried to talk me out of renting from Home Depot . He costed me 150 dollars to rent a car I did not need because he lied and said that the machines will not fit into my Honda Pilot .
Organized as usual but I couldnt find a metric two holes barrel nut and threaded rod that I was looking for.
I needed help in electrical and Patti(home depot assoc.) was extremely helpful. I felt sorry for her though, because she was the only person on the floor and there were alot of people that needed helped. But she handled it like a pro. However, they need to improve the line for returns.
