After getting rear ended, I went to R and C for a quote and repair. They were transparent, communicative and helpful through the entire process. When it came time to do the work, they went above and beyond to have all repairs completed in only 2 days so I could get my car back as quick as possible. Car looks great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing body work.

This review is very long OVERDUE. The stars may read 5 but R & C Auto Rebuilders, Inc. has really earned 10-Stars for their high level of professionalism & workmanship. Carl is the most honest professional in ANY business I have ever dealt with. The repair work done by his staff is top notch and Michelle in the office is personable and courteous. I would never let anyone else work on my cars~!

Avoid, Avoid!!!!Worst repair place we have ever been to. Spoke with Carl before we had work done on our Lexus vehicle which was slightly dented in the rear right quarter panel in June of 2015. He was not part of the USAA Insurance Company but he said not an issue in that they could send payment directly to him and he also stated he would honor their lifetime warranty. Well, 16 months later we get paint peeling off where he did the work, the rest of the vehicle is perfect. He refused to honor the warranty as I had to show up at his shop three times in person in an attempt to get him to honor his word. His excuse is that there was rust there not seen originally and even though I was not told by him when he did the work. My insurance company said as soon as hed decided to do the work, if he saw any rust then he should be held responsible and they have no record of him identifying this on the estimate he sent them. Worst part about this is we have been using him for about 10 years with multiple cars and we have personally sent him 5 customers who had work performed by him. I have contacted them all about this and they will no longer go back. Additionally one friend told me after Carls company did the work on his Altima he had to go back three times as the door window kept falling off of the tract. Nice guy maybe, but does not honor his word. If you have a problem with his work he does not know you anymore.Just had my vehicle fixed by another Autobody shop who said that the work done prior was substandard and not done correctly and if there was prior rust he did a poor job. I have (unfortunately 😂) used their services several times! Great customer service, friendly owner and friendly staff, mindful of your budget and excellent work! I also want to mention that they employ deaf employees... a fantastic local business!

They are great to deal with throughout the whole repair process. Everything went super smoothly, my car is fixed perfectly and was beautifully cleaned when I picked it up.

Ive used Carl several times and honestly would not think of letting anyone else fix my cars. Very professional, high quality work, done in a timely fashion. Their staff is excellent as well, very good follow-up and personable.

I have known Carl for a quite a few years now. I met him through doing volunteer work in town. I have taken my cars in the past to him and by far the best service around!!! Had a great experience today. My van had front-end bumper mudguards coming out. Carl, the owner, looked at it - not only fixed it - pro bono - he suggested that I do not spend extra 100$ in replacing the part.Completely blown-away by his honesty and customer service.

My experience at R&C started with great customer service and ended with great customer service. In between the mechanics inside the shop pulled a rabbit from their hats and fixed my car after an accident and everything looks great. The work was delivered with high quality. The owner of the shop is a good guy too.

R & C is very professional and friendly auto repair store. Carl, the owner, is a nice gentleman who takes care of customers. My car was badly damaged in an accident and I google searched local auto repair stores for the fix. I obtained 3 repair cost estimates from 3 stores and R&C was the lowest and with good reviews. They fixed my car perfectly and it looked like new again! Now R&C becomes the family doctor of all my car service needs. I would like to give it 6 stars!

Worst auto body shop. They didn’t care at all about my taillight that was smashed in. There was a dent near the taillight but they said it was fine but when I went in to put in a new taillight, the dent caused the light to not fit properly. There was a huge gap and the wirings were exposed. They charged me and did nothing on my car, the dent was still there and my light did not fit. When I called back to ask if they could actually fix the dent this time, they said they were too busy and call back next week. Worst service ever.

I felt so assured the work was going to be fenominal . .I’ve never given a review..EVER !! before the work was done ! And those who know me, know I’m a straight shooter. A rare find in the auto body repair Industry. The vehicle I brought in has the upmost sentimental value to me . It’s for my son whom I’m proud of and deserves an awesome first car . So it meant a lot to get it done right . If youre paying out-of-pocket do not go here!!! They try to overcharge me. When I brought my vehicle to another shop across town it was almost $500 cheaper. I wish they had a half a star because thats all they deserve

They are the best courteous and professional I will not take my truck any where else. Carl is a Gentleman and has a professionalism about him that is second to none.

Terrible shop. Do not go here for non-insurance work, they will rip you off. Carl estimated 1,500$ ( rear end bumper ) in repair they and only did 10$ worth of work. ( bent rear panel back into place by gastank ) (carl then put on a bumper from a car that’s been sitting in his junkyard that was damaged with multiple scratches, dents & swirls ) and had my car for over a week. Please save your time and money. By far the worse shop to do any auto body work in SOUTH PLAINFIELD.

I had touchup paint work completed on my car door, due to supermarket shopping cart damage . I was very satisfied with his work, as well as the way he and his office staff took care of the situation. I highly recommend their services.

Brought by car in or an estimate by R & C and they quoted me over $1000. I had a previous one for the damage to my rear bumper by another place close by for less than $500. This place is a rip -off if you try and do non insurance work.
