Staples has saved me so many times. Its my go-to place for back-to-school shopping. I get markers, lined paper, notebooks, folders, binders, pencils, and erasers from Staples every single year. Its nice to only have to go to one store for all of these things.The only thing I dont like is that their backpack section is really limited. Their cheapest ones are really weird colors and are either too big or too small. On the other hand, they have some really nice ones but those are like $100+ dollars. I get my backpacks from other stores that are cheaper and have a wider selection.I attached a pic of a really nice binder I got there this year. It has a mesh zipper pocket, a regular pocket, 5 file sections (which eliminate the need for folders), and get this, the outside is made of soft, cushioned leather. This was such a steal and it was the only one of its kind I could find. Everyone at school loves my binder!

I would like to personally thank Doug, the manager at this location for giving me super service when I needed it most. He was able to locate the 1 tech accessory in stock that I needed when no other store had it. Although previous reviews show this store may need service improvement for some staff, Doug is the exception. Kudos to Doug for a job well done!

The staff at this location are miserable and have poor customer service skills. Avoid this location. I was told by an employee, Jesse, that she “doesn’t help customers after 8:30PM” when I approached her at the printing services kiosk to print ONE page. It was 8:45PM and the store closes at 9PM... I asked to speak to the store manager, who apologized for the employee’s attitude and printed my one-page document. The employee then walked away saying “people think they can get here at 8:59 and find help”..ONCE AGAIN, AVOID THIS LOCATION.

Sadly all reviews about customer service are true. I bought computer chair, chair mat from store. Literally Zero assistance. I had to jumbled myself to wrap that chair mat. Staff was just watching. I worked for staples back in 2017. Felt really bad for this stores customers.

Lady working the print center was very rude to me when placing my order and at the time of pick up. She seemed to be more focused on getting the job done rather than getting it right. 2/5 items ordered were printed incorrectly.

Visited today for a custom jobThe indian woman who i spoke to last night had no idea how to the job i asked for and was confused so i told her i would come in and show her a sample of the a similar product i had done previously with staplesWhen i came in to show the attendant i was met by a young black women and while i was trying to explain to her i was met with continuos attitudeAs someone who works in customer service i usually overlook this but i couldnt believe how rude she was. If shes so dissatisfied with her job she should leave otherwise hide your feelings like everyone else

I usually do not shop at Staples. Office Depot is my go to store. Im in the market for a ergonomic office chair and thought Id compare prices and go to a Staples store. Biggest waste of time and mistake of my life. I first went to the store in South Plainfield NJ on 8/31/20 around 5:15pm and quickly realized how few store associates there was. When I asked for help the one associate that was available gave me incorrect information. The only reason why I asked for help was because none of the office chairs on the floor state whether or not they are ergonomic. I tried to google and amazon the information to no avail. I had no choice but to ask for help but unfortunately the only person who seemed to know this information was the store manager and even he was incorrect. So after 30 mins of idling and time wasted I drove 5+ miles to the Staples in Linden and arrived around 6:15pm. The associate was a little bit more helpful but the scenario was the same. The sales cards had minimal information and no one knew if the chairs was ergonomic or not. Now, Im pretty upset, this was a pretty large chain of stores. Why is it so hard to find out if a chair is ergonomic or not? Office Deport has it listed on the placard! Lesson learned, I wont waste my time anymore at Staples. Thanks for the lesson I guess.

I walked on staple on south Plainfield and the costumer services was horrible. Besides the costumer service is not good at all I buy my office supplies with them all the times. I had a bad costumer service experience with one of the Managers her name is Kim Franco she have a bad attitude and she is not friendly at all. I had a coupon that it said if you spent 30 or more you’ll receive 2 sanataizer bottle, well I never use any of those coupons and that day I try to used it because I spent more than 80 and I said why not. Well Kim just gave me a look and said we don’t have then anymore when I literally saw the sanataizer bottles and she refused to give it to me with such bad attitude. Staples what a shame you should train your staff better. Kim Franco shouldn’t be working with you guys at all.

Woman at the print center refused to spiral-bound my books because it was a lot of work for the price that it costs. Went to FedEx in Woodbridge and they did an amazing job and got it back to me very quickly for the same price.

Looks like you CAN in fact spiral bound this size book. When I went to this store, the lady in the printing section was rude and had the attitude that she could care less about helping customers. I knew for a fact that staples could spiral bind this exact textbook because many of my classmates had done it before but the employee refused. So, I went to a different location and they were actually happy to help me without a problem or any second guessing. Avoid this staples if possible unless you like attitude with your service (or lack there of).

Don’t waste your time at this location. I came in to purchase ink priced at 81.99 online (not an online deal only, same price if you pick up at store) and found the exact same ink prices for 84.99 at the store. I asked a worker, Doug, why the price was different and he decided it was appropriate to say, “it’s 3 dollars, it’s really not a big deal”. If it wasn’t a big deal maybe he should have given me the three bucks out of his paycheck. Sure, it’s only 3 bucks- but I’m a customer. Not sure why this store hires individuals who think it’s okay to be short with its customers.

Its good I guess, the prices are a little high but then again its Staples. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Go there if you need to, its better than office Depot or whatever that other office supplies store is. Customer service is great though, theyre all friendly and nice.

I attempted to ask an associate named Khalid on the floor for help and he acted like he barely wanted to help me. He completely brushed us off then when I told him I’d look for someone more helpful he directed us to the aisle but told me I’d have to wait while he walked another customer around that came up to him after I did!!! Horrible service. Thankfully another associate was way more helpful, got a ladder to get my item down and helped us find another item.

When I went to Staples at south Plainfield Stelton road for color prints I was welcome and greeted by person name Carrie#10 and she quickly helped me with the print service and gave me choice to print on different paper which was very impressive and I change my mind to print on white paper instead on beige color paper. The customer service and her work were very professional.

Document printing service - I was okay with the staples being put in backwards. No big deal. Staples offered to fix that. I was okay that some of the documents werent completely stapled. I found that while going through at home. BUT I AM NOT OKAY WITH BEING SHORTED 30 COPIES. Never again at your store.

The most pathetic service and answer received at this location. I went in for my Business Cards 4 times, still the lady named Marlen doesnt know the proper functions to print the card according to my specifications. The worst part of answer answer I received was my manager has not taught me how to do that, I was like girl seriously.Would never recommend this Staple to get your work done. If you have patience and time to go for 4 times, you can.

Worst user experience to print out copies. It took me around 50 minutes with several tries to print out a few pieces of paper. Staff was not helpful and just explained one step at a time, with it to fail every time. Every time a step in the process failed, I waited 10-15 for someone to help me, while other staff were not helping other customers. I highly do NOT recommend using Staples for easy printing.

The people who work at staples are not paid very well, and that gets reflected in the quality of service that they give customers. I have a friend who works at an NJ staples location, and he says that he hasnt gotten paid for his work in quite a while. Im not sure if that happens at this location, but word gets around and demoralizes employees. My friend and I agree: give your business to another retailer.

INCOMPETENT, dont go there, horrible customer service! Couldnt figure out how to give me a $2.43 credit back to my credit card after I told the cashier that I wanted my refund not in cash, but to the credit card I paid with for. She looked confused, rang it up, gave me a receipt & balled up & threw my original in the garbage! When I got home & looked at the receipt it was for a cash refund instead of a credit. I went back to Staples & the manager saw that I was right and the cashier was wrong when he wet into the system. He told me to wait at register & hed be right back, BUT he never came back & I left after waiting 15 minutes! Staples is now $2.43 richer because they cant process a simple $2.43 refund & the manager had to hide in the back because he couldnt figure it out!

Good afternoon everyone, I went to Staples in South Plainfield, I notice they dont have the old fax machine and this young beautiful lady, Quaniyah greeted me and assisted me on using the new Xerox printer to be able to fax my documents. Quaniyah explained step by step the new faxing process it was fast and efficient. Quaniyah provided me excellent customer service.

Went to get wedding invitations printed today as well as RSVPs, detail cards, etc. and the experience was so simple! My fiance and I were helped by KayLee and she made the process very simple and fun! We had the stationary chosen, everything printed and cut - same day! First of all, I called the store and as soon as I talked to a human, the person hung up on me after I asked the question. That was the first strike, second I walk in there trying to print out a legal paper. Had hassle to begin with, employees seem like they didn’t want to help nor care bout your problems. Took the necessary steps to print it out, fwd my email to staples so they can print it out. Got the paper, walked out f staples only to find out the format was wrong. So the employee had the audacity to tell me that t was my fault because it printed it out how it was on the email, so I HAD TO PAY TO USE THE COMPUTER TO SHOW HER IT WASNT MY EMAIL, IT WAS HER SOFTWARE that changed the format. Soo not only did I pay for a bad job, I had to pay to use the computer and then she saw I was right and she was wrong so she printed the page, got charged for that and nothing came out !! So I had to wait for her to get a USB so she can do it on her computer. Long story short I ended up paying around $5 for ONE PAGE. SHE MADE ME PAY $5 for ONE SINGLE PIECE OF PAPER. Not counting the 30mins I had to spend there to get it right. I’ve been going to staples since I was a little kid in high school to get all my School and office supplies. Never returning

Were very helpful on pointing me to the right isle until it came to staples and staplers. I have an expensive stapler that obviously needs specific staples. One guy dressed in black,presumably toe manager,told me they all are the same and gave me a pack of 2. When I came home, excitedly to try my new staples for my paperwork,I was let down,dumbfounded that they didnt work,yet a store called staples,gave me the wrong type of staples from a managerial level,I live 35 minutes away from this store and cant go all the way back to return staples at Staples!

I came in on 3/29/18 around 8:30pm. Had to deal with rude staff (bunch of young kids) except for the gentleman at the cash register. The young woman in printing area was extremely rude. I waited for almost 15 minutes before she came, and she seemed to be bothered when she got there. I asked her how much cash back can I get if I use debit, and her answer was “push the button and see.” I asked another employee did the store sell colored envelopes and he pointed to an aisle without showing me. Then a young lady got on the intercom to announce the closing of the store by saying, “uhh.. the store is closed” and laughs in the intercom. Very rude, very unprofessional! I will not visit the South Plainfield store again.

Retro Edison had an amazing service experience at Staples South Plainfield NJ. Their service tech manager, Rony Codjoe took a thoroughly professional approach to diagnosing our computer issue and fixed the problem completely; no easy task. First he debugged the computer, then ran a series of diagnostic tests, then made several decisions regarding which path to take in resolving the problem. Each decision Rony made was the logical repair approach until we finally exhausted all options and purchased a new hard drive. A HD is the last resort any business wants to take since so much is stored on the drive. Rony made sure that all our important documents, files and programs were backed up properly before he changed the HD. He explained each step along the way like a tech doctor. He made sure personally that every drop of data was put back into the computer properly afterward. It was one of the most professional service experiences I have ever had. I can only say that Rony is a top notch computer wiz and moreover a terrific and nice guy to work with. If I could give 10 STARS this experience would warrant it. Thank you Rony; now show the rest of the world how its done!!! Retro Edison really appreciated your help!!
