They may be great for regular bagels but the gluten free bagels are dry, crumble and are terrible as breakfast sandwiches, passable for toasted with cream cheese. $2 up charge doesn’t go down easy either. $6.50 for a bacon, egg and cheese that ended up picked apart and the bagel tossed. Not making that mistake twice.

I literally waited 45 minutes for 2 bagels. There’s 5 people behind the counter making food and there was 7-8 people ahead of us. That’s absolutely insane for a wait time. If this was at a sit down restaurant with legit meals that would be unacceptable. For a bagel place that literally just has to cut and toast and dress a bagel that’s mind blowing. The food is solid, but they seriously need to work on their systems, and training of the staff.

The food is great but this location has horrible customer service. The lady with blonde hair is so rude and hostile. Don’t waste your time here.. go to a location that actually cares. They closed at 1:30 when the sign said they are open until 2pm.

Wish all the employees put the same amount of cream cheese on. It is like one day I get a great amount and today there is barley anything on there!

Excellent bagel shop with a wide range of products available. If you get a chance, try the Maple Leaf breakfast sandwich and Chocolate Chunk Cookie as they are absolutely heavenly!

I do recommend this Mister Bagel location, I’ve never had a problem with an order, and I love the tofu cream cheese, a really great vegan option, the girls behind the counter are always friendly and work very fast and efficiently, but today I saw something disappointing..One of the employees came out from the bakery part of the restaurant, put cash in the register and answered the phone without a mask on..I was in there a little over a week ago and witnessed one of the employees ask a customer to put their mask on over their nose, (then customer then left) and I thought that was very commendable, but to see an employee not follow the rules of the establishment is not okay. If you’re going to enforce rules to your customers you also need to lead by example and follow your own rules..

MEAN and RUDE. so sick of the staff at this mister bagel, specifically the older woman. I try to speak nicely whenever there is an issue with my food (I work in customer service so I understand mess ups) but she always instantly gets mad at me, even when I’m not upset. All she does is say I’m wrong and talk over me, without letting me even explain what’s going on. I stopped coming inside because she was rude to me in person (for simply asking about ingredients that I’m allergic to) but she’s even worse over the phone. 0 customer service skills. Work on your attitude, not everyone is trying to fight you… BE NICER or get out of customer service.

Stopping at Mister Bagel for breakfast is a Maine tradition akin to a trip to Portland Headlight, or grabbing some Amatos to bring for a picnic on Peaks Island.Great food, great staff, and great prices. This is one affordable Maine tradition not to miss.

Bagels are always fresh and delicious!! Their fresh made sandwiches are amazing. I recommend the Smokin’ Joe, the Real McCoy, and the Cape Cod. They’re all so good and reasonably priced. The service is always prompt and efficient. A lot of love goes into the product and it shows.

Apparently a bagel and a breakfast burrito are the same thing? Food is good but order is wrong almost every time we go.

Decent prices and good bagels

I have always loved mister bagel especially the Maine mall mister bagel. Unfortunately this time was a real bummer. I was very excited to learn they had vegetarian sausage on their menu as I do not eat meat. I ordered a sandwich with substitute veggie sausage and my boyfriend also got the heart attack breakfast sandwich and asked if he could add sausage when he asked he was told that even though the menu didn’t say it had sausage that it already came with bacon and sausage so she wouldn’t add it on. We were asked if we would like our order to go or for here and we replied to go. We waited for a bit and then decided to go up to the counter when we saw people after us getting their food. We walked up and were told my sandwich was ready and his was almost done—we asked if my sandwich was made with veggie sausage and it was not—so I was asked if I would eat it anyways, I informed them I unfortunately do not eat meat so I wouldn’t be able to. They said they would remake it no problem! This happens often which is why I always check! No big deal at all I appreciate them remaking it. The order was made for here however and not packed to go and I let her know it would be to go if she wouldn’t mind and the girl that took our order interrupted me a bit harshly to inform me that “that’s literally what you asked for. You said for here.” Honestly having been in customer service myself and being a manager of a cafe, even if we had accidentally said for here to make the customer feel like it is their fault and they are an inconvenience is absolutely not okay. I actually felt a bit embarrassed as there was an entire line of people listening to this employee inform me of the inconvenience I was causing them. While we were waiting for my sandwich to be remade there was a customer brought to the counter by the same girl who had scolded us for our to go or here mix up. This counter was not where the orders were being taken and I could hear her informing him of things he needs to do next time when making a phone order to make it easier for them, which again this customer looked a bit embarrassed when he took his receipt and left. After he walked away I watched this employee whisper in another employees ear directly in front of my boyfriend and I, I couldn’t hear what she said, but the girl she said it to replied with “I’m know I’m about to f*ing freak out”It was clearly a busy stressful morning at this location and the employees all seemed to be a bit younger and a bit frazzled which I can completely understand, however there was even more in our visit I observed that has unfortunately that has made me rethink if I will visit this location again. I hope the employees can take a step back and remember how their customers feel when they are spoken to in a bad manner or when they observe bad customer service, even when they are stressed out.

This place is the best! Only Mister Bagel worth visiting.

This is the cleanest and best Mr. Bagels in the area. Also, impressive covid prevention. They offer veterans a discount of 15%. Great food and coffee.

Got a breakfast sandwich and everything was microwaved. Bacon and eggs. Kinda disappointed but not the reason for my post. My boyfriend and I went in for breakfast and he accidentally poured iced coffee instead of hot. Once he asked if the coffee was fresh, the woman with blonde hair came over and said “that’s iced, hot’s over here... and here’s the lids, stirrers, creamer, and sugars”. Very belittling and we both were not expecting that kind of service. Not sure if I’d go to this location again... there are far better mister bagels around SoPo.

I just attempted to order multiple sandwiches at the Maine Mall location and was not provided good customer service at all. We order almost weekly at the Forest Ave location and its always a smooth ordering process. I explained we usually do that and when I asked how we could go about figuring out similar sandwiches there was very little to no assistance in moving forward with this. Its unfortunate that your only location open right now has such poor customer service.Looking forward to Forest Ave opening back up!

Sams can have great food but it can also be off. If its an Italien, the roll can be fresh or hard and horrible. A pizza can be just right, uncooked and doughy or burnt black. This trip there was a big burnt noid on my grandsons pizza and mine was doughy (partially uncooked). I know I can take it back and they will make it right but I dont want the 20 minute trip and back while everyone else has eaten their food at home. The food is not cheap and a more consistent ability to create a better meal would be appreciated.

The bagel was perfect and definitely tasted like another. I will be back because the service was as good as the bagel.

I would not normally post something like this but just have to. Went in the power was out all over the area apparently. They got us the bagels and says they had coffee but the coffee was ice cold. I want expecting that at all. I could not eat or drink any of it till I got to me grandparents place 25 miles away.

Used to have the best service here, new managers (older woman and tall man) are either overworked or just plain doesn’t understand how to provide decent customer service. The high schoolers do a better job.

This is a great location for a fresh local bagel and a quick bite to eat for lunch. My only reason for not a 5 star review is due to ordering eggs, which are put in the microwave. I would think putting in a flat top would increase the taste and value of a egg breakfast sandwich. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting.

I went in with my wife on a slow, mid-week day. We were talking at our table, eating our bagels, drinking our drinks, and minding our own business. The owner came out of the kitchen and asked us if our food was okay. We said yes, of course. She then said, in a snooty tone, You two arent eating it very fast.. and walked away. Then, we were eye-balled from the kitchen and we could hear them chattering about the couple at the table. We seriously have NO clue why this started... There was only one other table filled and it was 1:00 PM in the afternoon. It was an absurd and confusing experience - enough to drive by every day, yet never consider going back. One star for customer service and five stars for ridiculousness!

My husband and I took a trip to Maine from New Jersey towards the end of September. We found Mr. Bagel the day we left Maine to come home. Im glad that we found it. We loved the bagels which remind us of New York type bagels. Even though we live in New Jersey, were not close to NYC so we dont get New York Bagels much. The restaurant was clean and there were plenty of booths and tables available. We liked the bagels so much that we got some to bring home. We enjoyed the coffee.

5 stars becuase I over heard the cashier say it was the busiest she had ever seen. Probably busy due to many people out of power. Through the stress of the situation everyone was pleasant and efficient. My bagel was excellent. Would recommend.

This strip mall was quite busy, as expected on the Sunday before Christmas, but we were able to park close by the store and run the errand.

If you dont check your order before you leave, expect to make a trip right back to have them replace/fix that order. Most days the coffee tastes bitter, burnt, and old. I take my chances but I am also well aware of the possibilities and I am not afraid to hand it right back to them to give them the chance to correct their mistakes/flaws.

Bagel was tiny! Never seen such a small bagel. Sandwich was just alright quality, the size of an English muffin. Service was good and friendly. Coffee was ok. Dont think Ill be back.

Stopped for coffee and a bagel. Bagel was fine, and the service and staff were very good (they are the reason this is 2 stars and not 1.). The coffee was friggen ATROCIOUS! Ordered two different coffees and they both tasted like they were filtered through 4 day old underwear. Worst coffee I have EVER had. Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!

I HAVE NEVER LOVED A PLACE AS MUCH AS I LOVE THIS MISTER BAGEL! I have never been so blessed as to taste the double dipped french toast bagel and it honestly has changed my life for the better. The people who work there are absolute sweethearts and I look forward to Mister Bagel before work on Sunday mornings!

Pretty decent Bagels I was hoping that they would have more selection however. Im not sure if I just came on a bad day or not though :-) overall is really tasty and was in a convenient location to where I was running my errands.

I went to Mr.Bagel in Mill Creek, So. Portland. Good breakfast bagels.Good variety of Carrabasset coffees. I swoon over toasted sesame bagels with butter. Nice variety of spreads, including vegan. A little shabby, but so what?

Best breakfast, best coffee selection. Large variety of breakfast choices and not just carbs. I love the omelettes, the eggs, the meats and friendly staff. I have lots of meetings here and it helps my budget.

Overall I enjoy Mr. Bagle. I have tried their wrap ups and they are not for me. I am a huge fan of their Super/Everything Bagles and Flagles. Normally, this location service is normally pretty quick, the dining area is clean and the food is good.

If youre in the city of Portland and you want to taste of New York City just hit the bagels you will not be disappointed mark my word

Theres a photo lab on site and they still carry an assortment of film, paper, and chemicals if youre not into digital. They also carry professional inkjet printers, paper, and supplies. Great staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

It was OK, ordered a salad as a meal and got a pile of chicken salad with a bit of lettuce and a whole sliced tomato - Most certainly not what I ordered, but their cooler was empty so that is what was passed off. Best to stick to bagels while there.
