I am a cancer patient who wears a wig, and also am a recent “mother of the bride”. I wanted my hair to be pulled back and slightly up for my daughter’s wedding….not knowing if this was even possible with my wig. Sonja did it, and beautifully so! She met with me several times before styling, making sure of what I wanted and what was possible. Her extraordinary level of competence, concern, and compassion far outweighed my expectations….and the beautiful hair styling was far beyond my highest hopes. (I received so many compliments on the wedding day!) Sonja even met with me the morning of the wedding to make sure the wig was securely pinned and to handle the last minute details of perfecting both the front and back hairlines. I have never received this level of total commitment….and have rarely experienced such a worry-free day, while feeling absolutely elegant. (She also surprised me with adding false eyelashes to my own thin ones!) She truly was responsible for this mother of the bride to fully enjoy every moment of the big day!I plan to return to her for any and all future hair/wig needs. She is truly exceptional in every way!

Sonja was amazing. She stayed late to meet with me. She is knowledgeable, caring, understanding, and just great at her job. She listened to what I wanted and I had the perfect wig after only trying on 3-4 wigs. It was a great feeling!! I highly recommend Sonja to assist in your finding the wig that fits you!!!!

Sonja dyed, trimmed and styled my human hair wig, and trimmed a synthetic one to improve the styling. Both were done while I was wearing the wigs, which had not been done by the prior upscale store where I had purchased the wigs and it made a huge difference. The human hair wig was the wrong color for me (I wasn’t thinking clearly when I bought it) and Sonja used foils and a glaze to ensure that the gray base was highlighted with silver to resemble my own hair. She is incredibly talented, extremely knowledgeable about wigs, and genuinely cares about her clients’ satisfaction with the results. Additionally, she has a lovely salon and a beautiful selection of wigs to purchase—so beautiful that I couldn’t resist buying one despite the fact that I already owned a human hair and two synthetic wigs. Sonja is compassionate and conscientious and, unlike with many hair stylists, you feel like you are working together to achieve your best look. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with her.

Sonja is an absolute gem! My sister and I accompanied our mother to an appointment yesterday, and Sonja made us all feel right at home. It felt like we had known her for years… she is so loving, so personable, and she has a heart of gold. She wants what’s best for her clients, and has done extensive research and has all the experience necessary to make the best recommendations for each person. In our case, it was a sensitive issue because of temporary hair loss, and Sonja not only understood this, but she turned our emotions around completely… we went from feeling a bit shy and nervous to feeling very proud, excited and full of laughter. I am so happy to have found Sonjas Wig Shop. She is a delightful person who really knows her business. She took her time to educate me on all the possibilities for my particular needs. I have chronic alopecia, and have been wearing ball caps for far too long. I am young 70, and I left the store feeling and looking like my old self. Sonja is an excellent hair dresser. She is a very caring person and listens to her clients and guides them to create the look that is best for them. Sonja also has a great personality that keeps you laughing throughout your appointment. I have moved out of state but still schedule to come in to have my hair done if I am in the area.

Sonjae is a master of hair, especially you get through any hair loss period. I lost my hair in a lymphoma cancer I have and she has worked with me through the various stages to keep me able to work in a professional environment without compromising my self esteem or having to explain to people what’s “wrong”. Sonja is amazing! She really understands hair and does a great job of cutting both the straight and curly haired members of my family :) Not only that, she was instrumental in helping me go through hair loss due to health issues and not only found me the perfect wig and held my hand through the transition, but she has been styling my hair as it grows back so skillfully that I regularly get compliments on my do without anyone knowing the better. And her coloring skills are easily the best Ive seen - she dyed my moms wig to the multitonal silver/light gold/dark blonde colors her natural hair was before she lost it during chemo for breast cancer. My dad and sister and I almost couldnt tell the difference! Coloring my own bland dirty blond hair hair to beautiful tones of red with her is practically magical.Sonja herself is an extremely kind, patient, warm and funny woman who knows that what she does is important whether youre just coming for a cut or youre coming with your mother for her third wig shopping experience and are ready to give up on the effort altogether. For the latter, I cannot recommend Sonja enough. I guarantee that you will feel comfortable and cared for in her salon - like family.Sonja, Bonnie and the salon have thrown rays of sunshine on bad hair days.
