This review is for the store located in South Portland,Maine. My child and myself thought it would be a good day to drive down to South Portland. We decided why not go in and check stuff out. We were greeted by the manager of the store the minute we walked. Mind you he was also checking people out on register but still made it priority to greet us.This manager was so friendly and cheerful. My experience there was great. The manager at this location was awesome and his ability to multitask and keep a smile on his face while doing it all was above and beyond. I would highly recommend that you go.and visit this store and corporate if you are reading this give this man a raise!!!

This store has a range of items from $1 to $5. The selection of its is random and rotates often. They have a good selection of cables, charges, headphones and other small electronics which I always need to replace. This location has a decent candy section with some really unusual and hard to find items, like Harry Potter candies. The quality of some of the items isnt the greatest, but is often better than you would find at other dollar stores. Overall, it is worth hitting up from time to time, just to see what new and interesting items they have in store.

Great store! the employees work very hard, they all care about what they do and they put forth their all!! the store is clean, and people are actively cleaning it and making it look better!! great products as well, very worth the few extra cents/dollars that some of them cost.

Never ceasers to amaze me the things you can get for under 5 dollars. Great place for cheap school clothes. But now they are bringing in above 5 dollar things, kind of defeats the name of the store. Buyers beware.

I love 5 below the one in South Portland Maine is always very clean, organized, everything always stocked. The staff there are really nice, very friendly, and really helpful. They have a good mix of everything in 5 Below seasonal, home decor, clothing, makeup, toys & games, arts & crafts, tons of cell phone item, candy, cards, party decor, electronics, health & fitness, and so much more. They are called 5 Below because nothing in the store is over 5 bucks but a lot of it could be sold for much more. I save a ton of money going there & getting some of my makeup. They have wet n wild, la girl, and a few other good brands there & they are normally the cheapest place to get the items without coupons

Meh...too many items that just dont work.Specifically a car charging adapter; after leaving mine in our other vehicle,& about to have a deaded phone before a trip to N.H...Quick- stop here, before hitting highway to purchase a temporary one to get me through; First one, unwrapped- and pieces fell out of socket...back in I run...Ended - up exchanging 4 different ones, till #5 was ok: and the only that worked of em all;On a positive note:Im sooooo Glad I checked them outin parking lot,before driving away*

I love this five below but they need to start putting a limit on how many squishmallows you can buy. the scalpers have been picking this location dry and they havent had squishmallows in stock for WEEKS. Im sick of asking when theyll have more and Im sure the employees are just as sick of everyone asking. either start ordering more because youre the only five below in southern Maine or put a limit on how many you can buy. its getting absolutely ridiculous.

Super clean their was a gentleman at the door counting. They ask that we wear mask. They do not provide masks at door. Lots of great deals.. very friendly

You never know exactly what youll find here. Some pretty good bargains. This store is usually busy and somewhat unkempt. Not uncommon to see some shelves in need of restocking.

Some $5. Items have gone up to $5.75Theyll have to figure out what their new name will be as prices shoot up past $5.Many small items are overpriced.

Love the products. Unfortunately not able to say the employees are super friendly. Ive downright felt unwelcome at this location. However the variety of cool stuff keeps me coming back! Only other minor annoyance (which Ive also seen happen at local dollar stores), is the occasional overpriced item. I let the employee on staff at the time know... though they didnt seem passionate about letting anyone know for the better of the stores business :/. Example: an item half the size of the one I saw at Walmart, for $2 extra. Just saying! Hey, maybe thats how they make their money! I do always wonder how places like this can sell some pretty high quality, unique products for such a low price. But dont get me wrong, I am definitely not complaining, just full disclosure! 👍🏽

Very friendly staff, store always looks clean and full of awesome merchandise. It’s a great place to find something for everyone you love, including your pets. My kids love coming to this store. They do their chores and get good grades, they earn their allowance and once they have enough they get excited to visit.

Great items for a decent price. Can find something for everyone here. Keep in mind they dont have enough people running the registers so you will wait in line for a fair chunk of time. The store is always disheveled as well.

Better quality products than the average dollar store. Great place to find a quick gift for young kids. It is also fun to look around as you never know what might be in stock.

Depending on what you are looking for, this place offers really nice bargains. This is a $5 below store, you will mostly get the quality you paid for, but if you have a DIY project this is a must-see place. Lots of decor items to use as is, or improve. I would recommend it, and I plan on going there for Christmas and such.
