I can ALWAYS find something at JCP that fits and is at a great price. Im well over 60 and many of todays styles are too young for me, but JCP has consistently had various selections that I feel comfortable wearing. I just wish manufacturers offered more 35 waste pants...they always jump from 34 to 36...whats with that?

Great deals paid only 25 for a sweatshirt which I liked and also quite a large variety of clothes

I’d like to say how wonderful Katie and Julie were to us the other day. We had an issue with an order that we picked up. They went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of in a professional and thoughtful way. Not only that, they got their manager involved who also went the extra mile for us. This store is a excellent place to shop, but unless you have a coupon it can be a bit pricey I love shopping their bargains when I do go to this store.Customer service has greatly improved and the store i found was clean.

Went to JC Penny this afternoon at 1PM. My wife and i picked up a pair of shorts for me. Only two cashiers on duty. One had 8 people waiting. The other actually left her register to check on an order for someonel I spent a lot of money there over the years. They have no help. And when you ask someone on the floor (if you can find somebody) if they only have two registers open, they shrug their shoulders and smile. Very sad.

They had some realky great sale prices. I was able to get a lot for about half of what I thought I was going to spend.

It was ok.. the ANA section has dwindled over the years .. ended up only buying 1 thing because you cant try anything on right now

I ordered shampoo and conditioner online last night,and it was ready for me to pick up when they opened. Very easy and didnt have to wait in line, I was next in line.

Everyone dont want stretch Levis. Cant buy a regular pair for women in there stores anymore. Thats sad because that was the only reason I use to go in there.

Fred in Menswear (South Portland) was SUPER helpful. VERY friendly. Helped us compare prices to find our best bargain on big items we dont normally have to wear. He definitely will have us returning to shop this store. Will recommend to friends.

My wife went here to hàve the anti-theft device removed as it was not done at the time of purchase. She was met by a very rude employee who had the attitude that my wife had done something wrong coming back to have this tag removed, even though my wife presented the receipt and everything. No attempt made to compensate us for the trouble of having to return (30 minute drive) Will never shop here again

I have always love this store and find great deals. Having their store card provided a lot of additional savings and benefits. I will be very sad to see this store close like the other department stores in the Bangor mall.

I love JCPenney for their quality clothes and home goods. I also love the sales that they have! I always find something good in a plus size to wear to the office

Went for scrubs, but said they no longer carried them. Looked for a belt, but didnt like any they had. Despite this, they still had a great selection. Went for Converse Chuck Taylors and got them for $55. Normal price. Staff is all foreign so there is sometimes a speaking barrier, but it they still do try and succeed to make your shopping experience positive and complete.

Customer service is great here! The store does feel outdated and the dressing rooms could use new carpet. I find decent prices and the service worth the visit. Fred was great helping me find items I needed and others are always kind at checkout.

It is only a matter of time before they start closing stores. Selection is abysmal and even their sale prices, arent even a sale. Many other places to get better selection. A shame, they used to have a good selection and way better sale prices. Expect to wait forever in line.

JCP, for the most part has the clothing I need at the prices I like. Im my opinion a better mall choice versus Macys. Although Macys does have better selection of higher-end designers. I do not like the centralized checkout as the line gets pretty long pretty quick. Especially if they are short handed.

Lots of inventory, very friendly employees, and reasonable sale prices. The quality of the clothing items was great. Store is clean but in desperate need of a remodel. The bathroom stalls were literally rusting out, out on the sales floor everything was dated seemingly last redone 30 years ago and the walls needed to be repainted by the luggage.

We had gone here today for a mens suit jacket for my husband. The staff was very helpful and after the first sales lady realized she could not help us she immediately told us that she was going to find someone who knew more about the sizing and fitting. Scott came to assist and immediately gave us information we needed and after realizing they did not carry the size we needed and had no time to order online he referred us to a local store that would help and even walked with us through the store to make sure we knew where we were going! I would definitely go back here to shop!

Perhaps TMI, but I was in Maine to attend my mothers funeral and my kids needed some appropriate clothing. We shopped here and the irony was that my mom had worked here for 25 years at this same JCPenney. Store associates were very helpful and the nostalgia was intense. Wonderful!

Started here to look for a tie. Found something but decided to see if could find a better deal. Checked several other places at the mall....Not! Ended up back at pennys. Could have saved myself a lot of time had I just gotten it from the start.

Had gone there to buy some dress pants and a shirt . They good quality clothes found a pair of pants right away and a shirt. It does not look like a tornado went thru the store like some places. The clerk was a very pleasant women who did the sale all in all a very pleasant experience

Got their groove back! Nice stuff at fair prices and BETTER QUALITY than discounters. Plus a store in good order.

I like shopping at JCPenney they seem to have good employees working there the price is always seem pretty fair and I like the atmosphere. Define different merchandise there than I do at most stores and I find the employees are helpful but not nagging or not right on your back all the time

Good selection for men and women clothing but not for children. Prices are also good but they run out of the items on sale too quickly. If you are going to the Maine Mall when it is busy the best place to park is at JCPenney. Always a spot available.

J. C. Penney is very hit or miss. There are some great prices and awesome sales from time to time, but good luck finding anyone to assist you or cash out. I had to go to three different registers in an attempt to pay. I almost gave up, but I managed to find someone who would ring me up.

Great prices for quality clothes. Checkout was fast and service excellent.

I usually dont shop at the mall but whenever it comes to work clothes I always find that JCPenney has a really good selection particularly of womens tops. Reasonably priced for good quality stuff and oftentimes they have discounts and coupons.

Jcpenny has been around for a long time and i enjoy it. I always find a great deal there.

Worst hair cut ever. And with short hair, Ive had some bad cuts. My stylist didnt listen at all when I told her how I wanted my hair cut. About halfway through it, I realized shed completely gone off base. I let her finish, in hopes she would somehow bring it all around at the end. Nope. Ive never looked more ridiculous. Thank goodness its winter. Hats for the next 4 months!Oh, AND it was the most expensive cut Ive had. Double whammy. Save your money. If youre under 40, this is NOT the salon for you!!

I went in for a cut and color at this salon not expecting much. The color was perfect, the cut was awesome, and the stylist is a sweet as pie. Ljuba is amazing. Im 28, and she made me look and feel 20 again. Not bad, eh?

I bought 6 major appliances at J C Penney. The shipping company they hired to deliver and install them have been less than what I expected. Out of 6 appliances, 2 were damaged and were reordered. After they left, I discovered the dishwasher wasnt working due to poor setup. I was told my 2 appliances would be delivered between 9:30-12:30. Its after 12:30 so I called and was told they wont be here until mid afternoon. It would have been courteous for them to let me know so I wouldnt have wasted a whole day. Very poor service. No regard for the customer.

Got more than I meant too !!! It was very warm and a bit unconfortable.But besides that I had a good time shopping with my hubby!!

Got a hair cut. It was good. The employees were nice. Price was a little high for a military cut.

Got cartoon character tshirts for my two boys, they said I am best mom in the world.

This place is such a mess. I was there on Saturday morning and it was so hard to find anything there. Shoes were out of order laying around with no system to it. Swimwear area is so full with items that it is hard to look through. I was also very surprised to find out that the swimsuit sizes mostly started at size 10! Where are the smaller ones?

Wanted to have a quick blow out while my husband got his hair cut. Firstly, the girl didnt even wash my scalp, my hair doesnt feel clean. She didnt towel dry my hair, just started with the blow dryer while it was dropping wet. This made it take forever. 40 minutes for shoulder length hair and she didnt really style it...but how could she if she didnt actually take a second to see and feel what my style was like. $22 for a complete waste of my time, I need to go home and wash and style it for tonight...luckily I will be done in less than a half hour.I wont even comment on the poor quality of my husbands haircut. Next time well spend our money elsewhere.

I made an appointment with the salon over a week ago. Made an appointment for a balayage and hair cut. I took the day off from work to get my hair done before the weekend. I’m in a wedding this weekend. The hairdresser cancelled the appointment at 930 that morning saying she was overbooked and there was no one to help me. They should pay attention to the schedule the night before. Very dissapointed and now rushing to find someone to do my hair for tomorrow.

The staff on the floor is not particularly helpful, and the trainee wrinkled all of my suits, I bought four! The sales are good and the guy running the register itself was good.
