Super quick and easy to secure and access the space. The staff is really helpful and very kind. Stephanie was very sweet to our dog when we first dropped our things and when I returned a few weeks later she remembered him. Needed a safe, secure place to store my 97-year-old moms possessions while she transitioned from Assisted Living to rehab and thence to a yet-to-be-determined nursing facility. Stephanie assured me that she would oversee the move-in if I couldnt be there, which turned out to be the case. Life Storage has a very user-friendly system. All I have to do now is swing by the office and pick up my key.

This place is perfect all the way around!! We needed a quick storage space and the day I called I was given a storage space without any hassle!! The staff were friendly and helpful, the process for bringing personal items to the space was efficient, two great elevators, the building is safe and bright with excellent lighting that automatically turns on and off by sensor so youre never in the dark!! I was able to cancel the space with one email and everything was taken care of. The storage is clean, quiet, and safe..oh and dry and fabulous temperature control. What more could I ask?? Great storage and super location!! Private and safe.

So easy to secure a storage unit, discuss size requirements and pay - all either on line or on the phone. I needed to move up our move in date and that was easily accommodated.

I had originally thought I was all set up in October but apparently not as I was not given certain info and my original setup was incomplete. Due to illness I did not try to access my storage until until 11/23. The young lady that I met at the front desk (Stephanie) was incredible--she friendly, professional and incredibly helpful in getting things straightened out for me as this was the first time I have ever used a storage unit anywhere. Stephanie turned what could have been a very frustrating first experience into a very positive experience. In Stephanie Life Storage has a very valuable employee and a wonderful face for Life Storage.

Ive only just started storing stuff here, but Stephanie has been wonderful to work with - very responsive and helpful. The process for getting into my unit was easy and there was even a little welcome bag left for me with information. Not cheap, but climate controlled in Maine seems worth it.UPDATE: My account wasnt set up to autopay (I always set it to autopay but Im not sure what happened here). However, I did not receive any reminders about payment - apparently they send reminders to pay via text and send reminders via email only AFTER youve incurred a late fee. The system had listed my cell phone as a home phone number (apparently thats the default setting, which was done on the back end) so I never received the text messages - just the email messages telling me I was late on payment. So now Ive been hit with a $68 late fee. Not cool, and a huge bummer after a great experience with customer service. Suggestion: if you send late payment notices by email, maybe also send payment upcoming notices via email, too (unless youre just looking to collect those late fees).

The staff at Life Storage are amazing. Not only is the place clean, they have moving equipment to assist in your move and an elevator for second floor access. The manager Stephanie was incredible she really assisted me with everything. Very responsive, caring, and friendly.

We recently moved from Illinois to Maine and needed some quick storage upon realizing the home we rented sight unseen wouldnt accommodate some of our furniture. Web unit selection and sign up was a breeze. On arrival at the facility, I was having trouble keying in the PIN code at the gate (bright sunlight and Im old!) and a manager immediately came out to help. Once she learned I was a new client, she showed me to my rental space and gave me an overview of the facility. Great facility and great service.

Havent even moved our stuff in yet, but this place is excellent! We are moving up to Portland from Philly with a ton of stuff and needed some specific storage requirements met and Stephanie could not have been more kind and helpful. She worked with me to solve both scheduling and unit size concerns and was extremely friendly throughout the whole process. Finding temp-controlled storage in summer this far in advance was proving a real headache, and was causing lots of frustration and anxiety; Stephanie solved everything in one phone call.

Life Storage in South Portland is really easy for someone in need of storage. It is the cleanest facility I have seen and Stephanie is extremely helpful in getting you set up and on your way.

Absolutely a great place. I love the climate control as I was moving in and out of apartments on what felt like the hottest days of summer! Staff was great and everything was super clean. My only issue was a homeless lady living out of her locker. She would put all her stuff out in the hallway so you couldnt get by and was very rude and unpleasant when you asked to get by. For paying such a premium I wish I didnt have to deal with that.

I rented here for a year and it was completely hassle-free. Stephanie was a pleasure to work with, always friendly, and very accommodating! Any time I was there the facility was clean and I always felt my belongings were secure. Highly recommend this location!

Nice people, called when my unit wasnt locked right. Mostly good experience but there no grace period for late fees applied and they only pro- rate when you sign up. If you sign up mid month they charge till the end (pro-rated) but if you leave mid month you have to pay for the whole thing they wont pro rate so you only pay for part of the month. Not happy about that.

Bobs Storage provided a safe, well lit, clean, dry, unit for our furniture for several months. The staff was friendly and helpful, access to the building was easy, carts were available for use and altogether made the move more pleasant.
