Im loving the coffee here! I got the Tahitian vanilla ice latte and it was PERFECT. Strong in flavor, creamy, hint of that tropical island flavor (yeah, Im not sure what that means either, but just know I loved it). What else do they got going for them over here? Merch!! Very too cool for school patches (arrrgh, not eye patches) and stickers. Also cool... the ordering kiosk! No need to geek over a very state of the art kiosk that not only has Apple pay built in, but the menu has photos, you can choose ice level, and a simple tap tap tap, will get you 3 shots of espresso added to your drink. You can also scan the QR code outside and order online. Safe and easy! There was only one guy working, but he was getting through that line and serving drinks out fast. He also seemed to love the music he was playing. Totally in his element. After getting the drinks, we took a few laps around SSF city hall. The neighborhood is cute as a small downtown area. Great for walking around the suburbs for a coffee break.

Mocha - I didnt expect it to be unsweetened, but I shouldve assumed so since it was made with TCHO chocolate . Its a good mocha if you dont like sweet chocolate drinks. The chocolate is also not too heavy, but still chocolatey. Next time Im going to add Tahitian vanilla!Tahitian Vanilla Latte - SOOO Worth the hype! I personally think its very well balanced in terms of sweetness, creaminess of the Oatly, and the strength of the coffee! I could see how some people might say its too sweet, but I think those are the people who dont really prefer sweetened drinks because this one is prominent in vanilla flavor but still balanced.

This is a coffee shop as coffee shops are meant to be. Some people have noted that the space is small- this is true. The shop is not necessarily a place to hang out... but it is a place to get *spectacular* coffee. Their vanilla latte is the best I have had in years of countless espresso based drinks. The cappuccino holds up to the same high standard. The staff care about the quality of each drink in a way that is near impossible to find. This care and pride in their work shows through in everything from their choice of beans to the perfectly steamed milk and balanced flavors. It is so very refreshing to find people who are proud of what they do and do it well. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Dead Eye Coffee Bar is a very interesting little shop. The place is set up for more grab and go style consumers. The establishment has three stools are up in the back that sit up against a beautiful bashed copper countertop. The giant windows have a wonderful view and make an otherwise claustrophobic space very open and alive. The staff were very friendly and the coffee is well roasted and prepared to perfection. Definitely a place worth stopping into and the staff were incredibly friendly!

Wow!Heard about this coffee shop from word-of-mouth. It’s a bit hard to find, but once stepped inside, we were really charmed. To start off, the design of the shop was vintage yet modern, tasteful and cohesive. The drinks and ice creams were well presented. The owners/servers were really personable and engaging. It has all the charms lost by big chain coffee shops.Definitely worth stopping by again and again!

This place is a solid 4.5 stars. Im really only rating 4 instead of 5 because it is at 4.9 right now on average, which seems just a shade high. Coffee is great. Pastries are pretty good, though they only had three to choose from when I went. Friendly staff. Totally a safe choice if you are in the area - wont disappoint.

I absolutely love this place. Before the pandemic I would try to go every month or so (self-control... self-control), and I typically get the lattes. THEIR LATTES ARE AMAZING. Even during the pandemic, Ill try to go there, just a bit difficult with the hours. But this is seriously such a hidden gem in the bay.

Best coffee I have ever had in South San Francisco. Seriously. I’m one to try out flavors that pique my interest and often get accused of enjoying “bath and body works” flavored things BUT the Spice Rose Latte is all things beautiful with a great balance of coffee and a tinge of sweetness. Nothing too overwhelming if you’re being experimental BUT the coffee is one you would want to go back for. Total hidden gem.

Nice little place in a beautiful locality. Wanted to order Affogato to taste their popular coffee and ice cream together. But ended up ordering coffee on tap since I had a headache. Great little gem in South City. In a world filled with Staryucks over-roasted mediocre coffee, this place offers a respite from the mundane. A bit on the expensive side, but great tasting coffee and friendly people. The space is small and has only one dedicated barista, so expect there to be a wait on the weekends (but youll wait just as long at Staryucks anyway). Its a bit hard to find when walking down the street since the only sign is their logo. Just look for the dark red brick building across the street from city hall. Go through the glass double doors, and its just to the left after you enter.

This place is worth the hype. We have an Alex Duetto espresso machine at home so our standards for espresso drinks are very high. From a pedestrian’s perspective, one needing a dose of both caffeine and heartening small scale entrepreneurship, Dead Eye defines understated legitimacy. Obscured enough from the sidewalk to feel that I’ve found a small treasure, I walked through two doors, and once in the calming interior a reverent family with a baby apologised for standing between me and my order. Dead Eye takes coffee seriously but not themselves. This is the hipsterism that I adore — an infatuation with the quality of materials and preparation without that obsession working its way to personal questions of self-presentation. What really matters is that the coffee is good and there are gentle smiles wafting between the owner and the customers.
