My husband and I would most definitely use Prime Performance again to work on our sports car. They took great care with our car and are a class act. The level of communication is awesome and their honesty is top of the line. We had no idea of what could be causing our electrical issues and after two days of running diagnostics, it was a relatively minor issue. While other shops could have racked up all kinds of charges, Prime Performance didnt even charge us to run the diagnostics.

I was traveling through the area when my shifter cable broke. I had read the good reviews and decided to drive straight there while i could. It was early in the morning, and Chad went out of his way to help me out. They had the part in and repaired in barely any time at all, and he gave me a fair price. Its hard to find a good honest mechanic these days, but Chad is one. The people of Sioux City are lucky to have him. I couldnt be happier with Prime Performances Auto Repair! Chad and the staff were all super attentive, explained everything super clearly and provided outstanding service at a very competitive price. I was on a road trip going to Minneapolis when my Van for some odd reason didnt want to keep going. I was lucky enough for it to fail less than a block away from these guys, who were super attentive of my vehicles needs right upon arrival, and luckily they had it running in about 2 hours, test-drove it and it came out working perfectly, literally saving my road-trip to MN as I was due to arrive that night. If you need any kind of car repair this is THE place to go!

I called Prime based on their positive Google reviews. My windshield on vehicle had recently cracked and I had about six lights come on my dashboard. I called Prime and they said they would run diagnostics and told me up front what the cost would be, no hidden fees ect. I got in almost right away. Once diagnostics were done it was determined I needed an ABS module which has to be done at dealership. Prime answered all my questions and were very helpful.Honda has a back order on part I needed. Prime helped me locate part needed to fix my vehicle. Super grateful there is about a 12 to 18 month backorder on ABS modules. All in all great experience. I highly recommend they are honest and helpful.

This shop by far exceeds every other shop that Ive had experiences with in the area. Their level of knowledge over the phone diagnosed my issue without them even having to see it in person. My part was nationally backordered and they even offered solutions to continue use of my vehicle while waiting if I wanted. So, basically if you need any auto service just skip your search and go to these guys. Top notch service, ability and overall experience.

We were on a road trip and woke up to our car leaking oil. We found Prime Performance not too far away from our hotel, and we were there by 7 am hoping they would be open soon. Chad was amazing and took a look at our car right away, identified the problem and had it fixed in no time. He charged us a very fair rate and got us out the door in record time. These guys saved me! On the way home fromvacationing in Yellowstone, I discovered that my car was leaking a lot of oil. Prime Performance was able to get me in, figure out the problem, fix it and send me on my way, all when they were getting ready to close. My earlier review has been found to have been influenced by some misunderstandings we had and after texting with them via messanger i understood it was the labor guide they used that misled us(both me and them). There was no malice or anything like that. I also got my other Cars muffler and some other stuff connected with it fixed for good and fair price. I gave them 4 stars for now, because of the website they depended on to figure out how much it takes to fix my car. Perhaps i will definitely give them 5 star next time i use their services. My car broke down on a Sunday and I had to get it towed to this shop. After staying in a hotel overnight, I called the shop and explained my situation and how I was traveling to get back to college and they willingly pushed my car ahead of a few others to fix mine first. When they called to give me a quote, they also offered to pick me up from my hotel and drive me to their shop to wait for my car to get done. They even offered to give me food once I arrived at the shop. They were SO kind and considerate and they didn’t rip me off with the bill either. They explained everything that was on it and the bill didn’t change from when they gave me a quote. If you live in the area, this is the place you want to go!! 10/10 would recommend 🙏🏻👌🏻

Prime Performance is a fantastic shop! The alternator bracket on my car broke as I was driving from Denver to Minneapolis. I called them up after reading the great reviews on google, especially about helping travelers, and I must say the reviews are true! Right away they said they would push a car they were working on out into the parking lot so they could have an open hoist for me as soon as I got the car there. Had a tow truck drop it off and sure enough, there was an open bay waiting for me. One quick hour later they’d fixed my bracket and sent me on my way wishing me safe travels. Prime Performance is full of nothing but genuine people who want to help you with whatever problems your vehicle has. Even sitting in the waiting room and listening to how the employees interacted with the local customers let me know these people really care about their customers, local or traveler. Pulled in and Chad stopped what he was working on to get a code off my truck. He then explained the issue (which was not an emergency) and everything thing I could do to fix it myself and save money from taking it to a diesel mechanic. Will definitely go back with any problems down the road.

These guys are amazing!!! Im a pilot car driver and my jeep broke down 17 miles from the shop. They arranged a tow truck to come get me. They also made me a priority since Im from out of town. I called at least 5 other shops and none of them would help me the same day. Ryan and Chris understood that for me to get back on the road is very important to my business. This is the best shop I have ever been to. They take their time checking every detail and charge exactly what they quoted me. I thought I also needed new brakes and they told me I didnt which most shops would just squeeze the money out of you. These guys even noticed my wiper blades were shredded and I knew I needed to change them but the guy threw some on for FREE! Amazing auto shop and Ill never go anywhere else now.

I initially was recommended by a guy up the street, to see these guys about some break pads back in 2015. Chad was, and is still, amazing at his trade, and helped simplify what was wrong with it, how much it was (which compared to other places, was exceptionally affordable), how long itd take, and explained my options, in terms I could grasp, since Im not the most car-savvy.Just got done asking for help with a brake line (1/6/17), and was once again, left very pleased. Chad was great! I took my car in a few weeks ago, because the AC didnt work. They allowed me to come in the same day I called, checked the car, fixed it, and explained, in detail what was wrong. He explained that depending on whats wrong, the AC could last a few years or go out the next day, but that if it went out, I could come back and theyd check it again. The next day, the AC didnt work again, so I brought it in today and he remembered me and the car. He looked at it, checked the AC and the car and explained what I could do to fix all of the problems. He said there was no pressure to fix any of it, and I told him Im looking to get a new car. He explained the best times of the year to get cars and was extremely friendly. He didnt charge anything the second time to check the car. I would highly recommend this place. Chad is a genuine guy who knows his car details, and hes able to connect you to other good resources. He explained everything in easy to understand ways. I Recommended Prime Performance! I Appreciate his work.

Finding these guys was a gold mine, they are straight forward and honest and know what is going on under the hood of your car. We moved here over a year ago and I have been terrified to try and find a new mechanic. I was worried about being a woman and being a woman of color how I would be treated and all of that. A little background on my situation, my car had broken down with its tire rod bent and it was in a completely undrivable condition. The tow truck had to drop it in their parking lot and they had to do the work outside in 30° temperature. I appreciate what they did for me and would recommend for any and all vehicle needs.

We are from out of town and had called to see if he could get us in today as another mechanic in town said we need our cadilic converter cleaned he said sure he would check it and give us a quote when he looked it over he found one of them was not working at all anymore he gave us a quote and was very informative letting us know it would take a week to get in but that we would be fine to drive it home if needed. He was very nice and I know exactly whats wrong now so I can go home and get it fixed. If you are looking for honest and skilled auto service this is the place. Chris went into great detail to tell me what could be wrong with my GMC Envoy and then when he had spent a lot of time diagnosing the problem called and explained everything that was needed to me.I was impressed by so many things these guys did, such as, giving me detailed explanation of what was wrong, using a high-tech scanner to to check my brake problem, knowledge about the issues with my particular make and model of vehicle.What really impressed me was Chris being such a honest business man. I was fairly certain I need a new catalytic converter. I told Chris I was pretty sure that was one of the problems. He could have told me that I needed that and I would have not questioned it. This is a very expensive part and repair. He ran a test on the converter and found it was okay. I just had a lose heat shield. That proved to me how upstanding these guys are - he could have put a $1,500 repair on the bill and I would have not thought twice about it. But I didnt need it, so he didnt do it. I am willing to bet most shops in town would have put it on and charged me an arm and leg, thinking the guy said that what was wrong, so we might as well put it on and make some money.These guys are great. Dont look any place else. Go here. I am thrilled with them. Great service, great priced and they are honest!

Service was okay. It almost seems like they are not used to serving black people. The guy that worked on my car dropped me off at my apartment and then picked me back up when the car was done. I gave the guy a tip and him and the mechanic made a comment about buying a 40. Stereotyping a black customer or any customer for that matter is unprofessional. I have two Masters degrees and a CPA license. I dont drink 40, nor do I know anyone that does.Would I bring my car back there for service??? NO WAY!!!!

My experience with prime auto is disappointing to say the least.I went there and the guy at the desk diagnosed my car and showed me what the issue was.here is the first issue.I asked him for a estimate and he told me he would call me later for it.he never did.it took 3 days to get a estimate.second,i took my car there anyway and they replaced a engine pulley and some belts.the noise that the engine was making was gone after they fixed it.a week later i heard a squeaky like noise when I cut on the car but it would go away after like 5 minutes after I pulled off. I called prime auto back and he said he would adjust the belts.he did and to go back in the story I gave prime auto 4 stars for lying about when he was gonna give me a estimate. A week goes by again and I start hearing the same squeaky sound again.I call prime auto again and I explain the issue again.thing is they dont have a full time receptionist to take calls.it was times Id call several times back to back with no answer.the original sounds that my car was making they made go away but I feel like if there was another issue with my car they shold have been able to diagnose it and tell me whats up.Not profesional at all.avoid this place like the plague.

Went in yesterday to have some work done, the fellas had my car ready the next morning. It felt like a fair price for the work that was done. I had to sit for about seven minutes before I was greeted, but I wont hold that against them because of how busy it was and only two people working. It is truly family owned and operated. Rob, the owner & operator is an ASE Certified Technician, his wife does all the bookwork, and they have 2 sons, Chad & Chris. Chad graduated from MMI and Chris does all the exhaust work. They have been in business for almost 20 years. Great place.
