Great gluten free sandwiches with a great selection of spreads, meats and cheeses. As a celiac, it was great to see a variety of gluten free raviolis. Prices are very reasonable too, definitely will be back.

We had The Local Gourmet cater our outdoor wedding yesterday. We ordered a lot of different salads (chick pea kale salad is to die for), stuffed bread platters, sandwich and wrap platter and shrimp cocktail platter. The food was an absolute hit! Our guests were thrilled with the food. The variety was spectacular. Everything was SUPER fresh! I would use them again in a heartbeat!

I have ordered the sandwiches and picked up ready-to-eat side dishes and everything is freshly made and delicious. I have ordered large orders of sandwiches for parties and they are always a hit. I also like to stop here to get great local foods for birthday gifts, gift baskets, etc. and there is plenty of selection. Love that they, a small business, supports other small businesses! A gem for Southbury.

Pb&just smoothie is great. I always buy grilled chicken breasts so that I dont have to use stove in summer heat. Very good homemade soups too.

There food is good, I wish they had more organic options for there deli and I am surprised they use so much plastic for all there packaging, I tend to only want to order out from places that are trying to do there part environmental and use card board and paper containers .

My go-to for an Italian combo - they call it an Italian club. Best one in Southbury...I’ve tried them all. Costs about $1 more, but if I’m going to indulge, I want it to be outstanding.

Best place for on the go sandwiches and salads. Huge selection of awesome take home food as well. Definitely don’t leave without grabbing some soup (especially the chicken noodle)!!Staff is great and friendly and since COVID they have been improving all the time. Holiday specials, seasonal menus, and staple items make this place really really great.

They wanted to charge me for asking for LESS ice in my homemade lemonade! My choice was no ice or full ice.

The chicken pannini wrap with melted Asiago cheese and carmelized onions is simply, awesome. Eat in our take out. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Prices are very reasonable considering the amount and quality in the sandwiches. 5 Stars for The Local Gourmet in Southbury, Connecticut.

I was pleasantly surprised at this little market /deli. Huge variety of fresh made soups, salads & meals. They even have a little produce section, next to the dessert freezer! I wish I lived closer, cause I would probably be there multiple times per week!

First time visiting here and it was lovely. The staff was very friendly, variety of foods and options you may not see at other stores. Loved the grab and go options! Alot of local products for a quaint little shop

Cute little place with a nice ambience and super friendly employees. My salad was delicious! The only critique is that the carrots in the salad were chunks of cut up baby carrots. I dont expect that from a salad Im purchasing. Everything else was great and fresh. Great dressing as well =) I will be back.

Happened upon this place while traveling. Bought a prosciutto & balsamic sandwich for lunch. It was so good that I went back to the counter to get a roast beef & cheddar for dinner. Excellent place!

The prices are reasonable and the salad I had was good sized, very fresh and tasty. I had it for lunch for two days. I highly recommend this place. Great place to go if you are looking to eat healthy. I hope they stay in business. I plan to go back this week.

Local Gourmet is my favorite eatery in Southbury. Fresh, healthy and reasonably priced. Staff is helpful and friendly. I am so happy to have this gem in town.

Lovely place. Wonderful fresh soups, salads, sandwichs,etc. Stopped while travelling by. Brussel spout were so different and tasty! Very accomadaring staff.

Beyond happy that I can give this location 5 stars, friendly staff, clean store, oh and the food is amazing. It might not have the name recognition of some other sandwich places in town but I think this is the best spot to get a sandwich in Southbury. I am looking forward to trying everything on the menu.

Today I got the French Onion grilled chicken sandwich and I was really disappointed. It was soggy with so much garlic atole sauce (mayonnaise) on it - that it was dripping off of it. I couldn’t eat the whole sandwich bc it was gross - so I threw it away. They only cut it in half partially and the Chibatta roll is very hard to get through with a plastic knife.I think that the place was better when it first opened and now they have a clientele base and don’t care.

Sitting here eating one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Wonderful ambiance, attentive workers, and so far food is unreal! So excitedFor this gem to be in Southbury!

Earthy premade meal components, limited sandwich selection, fresh salads made to order but ingredient choices limited. Daily soups offered but small rotation of types. Pricey CT-made packaged snacks and sweets. Staff is warm and makes you feel welcome. For me, its been hit and miss with quality (excellent chicken cutlets, sandwiches, and bolognese that makes me cry its so good, but not great meatballs, ricotta-ladened lasagna and freezer burnt fresh pasta). Definitely seems like a life saver for busy families who want a homey weekend night meal.
