I’ve been coming here a lot over the past year or so and I’m never disappointed! I always get a warm welcome and the staff is very attentive and knowledgeable about the products. They get new items in constantly so there’s always something new. It’s a great place for gifts with lots of budget-friendly options as well as nicer pieces for special occasions. My mom loves the hilarious kitchen towels and oven mitts I bring her. This store not only has style and class but a great sense of humor. If you haven’t been, stop what you’re doing and go be there. You won’t regret it!

Mockingbird is the best locally own store in downtown Southern Pines! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Coming from Austin Texas, I thought I would be disappointed in my shopping experiences in such a small town. Boy, was I wrong!!!! If you haven’t check them out - Go today! You won’t be disappointed. Amazing, locally-owned shop with something for everyone. Super unique items and always well stocked. The staff are exceptionally helpful and you can genuinely tell they enjoy working there. Any time I need a gift or a pick-me-up, this is the place to go!

My go to gift shop for all occasions! (Including gifts for myself:)Great sales and new additions all the time. Nice that they have longer hours and open 7 days a week...super convenient for last minute thoughtful gifts.

Only shop here if you like being followed and treated like a suspect. I’m sad to say since moving locations the mockingbird has changed so much. I bought all our extended family little gifts there last year for Christmas. But this year we will not be giving this small shop any business. Two separate occasions now employees have been rude to me and my family. Hopefully they can go about securing their shop differently like interacting with shoppers instead of idly folding clothes staring at you.

Gift was perfect! This was the only place I could find the puzzle I wanted to buy as a Christmas gift in stock— plus they wrapped it in the cutest paper so I didn’t even need to do anything else. I bought a gift card for my daughter, she chose her gifts online, and picked them up curbside. Everything was beautifully packaged. How nice of Mockingbird to take that extra step. It made a her feel special. I highly recommend them for long distance gift giving.

Never been in store but found the cutest tea towel on the website and ordered it as a gift for a friend. It got to me in less then a week and was wrapped in the cutest wrapping paper and ribbons so saved me from having to wrap it! There was also a sweet postcard with the gift, I will be ordering more from the shop soon. Would 10/10 recommend.

I’m not sure “THANK YOU” can really cover it. “Grateful” and “Surprised” should definitely be added.After shopping at Mockingbird on Broadway last Friday we walked down the street to our favorite restaurant for lunch. About 15 mins into our lunch a young lady from Mockingbird On Broad walked up to our table. She explained there was an error on my receipt and she had remembered we had talked about going to this specific restaurant. Then she handed me $20+, the difference MOB owed me.I was so stunned! That’s what it looks to go above and beyond. I’ll be telling this story for a long time!! And will definitely be going to visit the sweet (and very honest ladies) at Mockingbird on Broad!! Thank you!!!!!!

Mockingbird makes your eyes and heart fill with joy once you cross the threshold. Its almost impossible not to bounce around the room like a hummingbird with all of the interesting items they have for sale.

Fun and funky. Great place to pick up a unique gift for anyone of any age. I found perfect gifts for co-workers that were a big hit. Love this place!

They had a mf stuffed egg. I was looking for a present for my girlfriend and she calls me an egg Bc I got a egg shaped face. Honestly best find ever. And they even hand wrote a thank you card. Great customer service. 5 stars

Its a treat just walking into this store and seeing what goodies they have. Im a big fan of the pajamas they carry. I think I wear them almost every night because they are so comfy and pretty. Love the owner and all she has to offer.

My latest favorite purchase was a Kantha - a handmade blanket from India. No two are alike and the owner let me look at each one. She folded and unfolded them until I chose the one I wanted. They were all amazing and it was really hard to choose. Once I got home and draped it over the couch, I was IN LOVE! It made the whole room come together. Take away from this store - personal service, consistently fresh inventory and shopping local was a total Score!two thumbs up!
