Great place! When you go to thrift/flea/resale shops like this you have to expect things to be not always neat.This place is well organized and very neat.The sales associates are friendly. There are50% percent clothes racks and you get 50% all clothes specials as well.No price tag? They give you a cheap price for it. No arguments.

The clothes were well organized by color. Some prices were a little high in my opinion for certain items. No returns or exchanges.

The manager today March 18th 2021 is aggressive. She spoke over the intercom countless times urging customers to get in line or she will refuse to sell merchandise to the customer as she sees fit. This location also had other staff scouring the ilses repeating the message as if the intercom wasnt threatening enough. The staff here started these acts around 6:15pm, but this location closes at 7pm. Fair warning Ive decided to research this treatment towards individuals in need of hospitality during a time their income doesnt permit a better source for shopping. This type of treatment requires action from the customers they are mistreating. These customers are the reason this staff is employed and they should be treated as such. It is understandable that a customer should abide by the rules of the hour, but the response should not be aggression. Again it was only 6:15pm when they started. Sad when I see people blatantly show stereotypical behaviors

First time coming to this one, I was surprised at how clean it was. It is pretty small but they had a lot of pretty good items. Found some name brand items for pretty cheap and good condition. Will definitely have to shop here again and the employees were super friendly.

They had a lot of nice stuff at decent prices and I was very pleased how clean and organize the store was as opposed to in the past when Ive been there. I was so surprised looking for a nice Carhartt jacket and found a brand new one that fit perfectly and then a lady that was talking to me bought it for me. 🙂

I went to this store to bargain browse. I was really disappointed with the outrageous prices for used items ! A mother and child was in need of a vacuum cleaner, and it was price at $28.99. The vacuum was dirty, and full of dust and debris. Used shoes were priced above $30.00 dollar ! Just ridiculous for a thrift store! Shame on you Value World !

The guy at the register was extremely rude, never experienced that before! Where are all the other salespeople? They were nice, however the mgr. There now is very nice, shes a keepee!!!

Fun place to find great bargains, especially shoes & clothes - set aside a good hour or so to really look around!

Thrift store? I think not. They mark everything up to retail on used goods. Maybe they should try and lower the prices and sell on quantity. Whats the point of having racks of overpriced product the people cant afford.Staff are nice.

Upon arrival, there are shopping carts with sanitizer spray and paper towels to wipe down the cart and to do your hands with also. A great and safe place to shop.

All Value World stores are excellent with selection and prices. I love going to the 8 Mile location because its such a large store. Value World is also great about offering coupons. They can be found in flyers and by signing up with them on their Facebook page. Always great service too. My favorite resale shop.

Value World; Have been shopping, when I had a car checking all of them for over 10 years. Cut up the 17credit cards. My favorite one is Beech/8Mile. I walk in look at the aisles (10)minutes to see what catches my eyes;then I go back and buy what goes with maybe I already have. I love it.😎🤗😊😀. I get compliments often where did you get that? I love sharing,and love the $$ I spend.Hm, I should see if they need me to advertise more 😏🤔. Enjoy....

Other than the selection of items, there should never be BROKEN toys on display. And the lines should NEVER be so long. Get some cashiers that move quicker... Prices are not as low as they could be... This may as well be a Goodwill... Prices need to be lower for the used items they sell.. Only go if you have a half off coupon.

Nice and Clean thrift store. A large variety of eclectic items to choose from. Love the ambiance of the store. When you go dont forget to tip the musician playing guitar in the lobby entrance.

THE RUDEST STAFF! Every time I go here they are dismissive or out right rude. Openly roll their eyes, huff at you, for asking what they said cause they are too busy on their phone to not mumble. Sorry for interrupting your phone conversation while you are running the ONLY register thats open.Clean and organized unless you look under the racks

Ive been shopping here for years. It use to be a lot nicer, with more to choose from, and lower prices. You have to be willing to take the time to search for that deal, timing is critical. Sometimes its very picked over other times you find something just put out. The search can be fun, Good luck!

Valueworld has excellent clothing for those shopping on a budget. Dont come here expecting to find everything in mint condition but Ive shopped here on multiple occasions and 95% of what I bought didnt even look used-- no stains, no tears, etc. You can come here with $20 and leave with several outfits. Most of what I bought (including jackets and pants) were under $5 each. Its well worth it.

Not sure how an old resale already been worn several times should cost so many of my dollars. Prices are kinda crazy in their right now. However the nicest employees maybe thats why the prices went up. Who knows but they better come down on those prices.😔

Value World comes in handy if youre on a very tight budget. I just got a new job after 4 yrs and I didnt have ANY business casual attire. I found several items here for less than 5 bucks a piece including some shoes that were barely worn. If you dont mind dust its good pick.

If I get decent clothes for $2.80 thats a steal BUTThe only complaint I have is at this particular locations prices are higher than others especially designer labels usually you find expensive things at register not $12.80 used jeans on the racks... It may seem silly to complain BUT brand news jeans are $10 at store 2miles away... I support Value World because its needed in our community BUT the prices are too high especially when its no coupon circulated

Was looking at pants and saw one with a tear in the seat. But to be fair, I only looked at clothes for about ten or fifteen minutes. But I question the overall quality if I find something like that on the clothing racks. All used clothes like a thrift store.

Just went to look because I had a 50% off coupon. Found a nice black suit and 5 pairs of jeans. All for less than $25.00.

Some of their prices are so high! I understand its designer stuff but... this us a store forr people who cant afford high prices clothes. Its not a good feeling to not be able to afford stuff here too.

I love Value World since I got the 50% off entire purchase coupon. This is were we go for all of our baby needs and wants. Without this coupon we would never stop here. With no dressing room or bathroom makes it hard for us to buy the clothes. Dont shop for toys here, most things are broken and need to be put in the trash.

Prices are to high, I dont understand why they price the the clothes so high, today while I was there at value world, I found two women tops from the same company one was $1.60 and the other one was about $12.60It is a shame that they mark the prices up like that, I wish there was something that could be done about these places marking the prices up on use clothes. These are just two purses that I found at another thrift store I just wanted to show you just how these people price things at there business.

This was once our go to store. Now the prices are very high for mediocre merchandise. Found damaged clothing, games missing pieces, unhelpful staff, and a wonky sale. Worn out curtains, throw pillows and banged up sporting goods at ridiculous prices... Clothing reaching to 20 and 30 dollars??? Try the Goodwill in Livonia. I am also suspect of some of the recent five star reviews..

Always ask what the daily specials are.You never know what treasures youll find here.You have to dig around but some good deals are to be found.There clothing can be a little expensive at times but their home goods and furniture and decor is pretty well priced.Check the DVDs well... While they are priced Right the one I bought was cracked.

Air conditioned building, well organized, you cant trust the sizes on the hand written tags, but thats to be expected I feel. They had a great deal on books today, 5 hardcovers for $1

The employees were nice and it was organized, but this is a water damaged building with many stained ceiling tiles, some celing tiles had fallen in. Smells musty too.

Some good deals on brand name clothing occasionally but this store is NOT a non profit organization so I only shop when I have half off coupon

As far as Detroit Metro thrifting goes, Value World is just as good as any of the others. Its organization style is interesting, but it seems like they try. The people stocking are doing their jobs and dont have time to socialize, which is acceptable. The ladies who check you out are trying to be fast and efficient, so pleasantries arent their first priority but they are polite, not rude. There isnt a dressing room, but most people know it and try to wear clothes that allow you try on stuff anyway. It kind of makes it fun and adventurous. If you are a true thrifter and like to search for treasures, its worth it.

This place is always messy. Its doesnt have a public restroom🚽. It doesnt have a fitting room. They get their merchandise from Purple Heart. The prices are extremely high for this to be second hand. You can cut the dust with a knife, but you can really find some great stuff sometimes. Just sift through the junk. Its hit and miss.

Would be 5 but in my opinion...how on Goda earth can a clothing store NOT have a dressing room? Service isnt the worst but can definitely use improvement

Ive had good luck there. The employees can be rude & not friendly at all.Some of them come across as not liking white people, not say a word to you. Not even a hello or thank you.No value worlds have try on rooms so dress accordingly, skirt w/tights & tank top. Pontiac is the only value world with a public restroom.
