Don’t go here! Absolutely terrible! Rude! Nothing is ever ready even when you call and confirm and receive a text message. I’ve had scripts cancelled because i called on them more than once to make sure they are ready. They refused to fill a script multiple times even when the doctor sends it in more than once. Because it’s suspicious! This place deserves a zero rating. Don’t go here!

Only gave 1 star because that’s the least you can give...... it’s sad looking at all these reviews and Meijer knowing how horrible of a pharmacy this is but still don’t care enough to change it.... tried to be a nice guy and take a buddy of mine to get his meds he NEEDED before I headed to work after he called at 9am they said it would be ready in 30-45 mins it’s now 11:00am and being told another 30 minutes! You guys are a absolute JOKE! Are you guys even legal pharmacist or do they just hire people off of the street??? Lol

Worst Pharmacy EVER. I could list at least a dozen things easy, but in the end the most important one is that they dont always fill your prescription and dont Communicate anything with you. No joke. A couple times Ive called up there to see what was taken so long with my prescription ( Maybe there is ahold up I can help get fixed) and they literally told me oh they forgot to put it in the computer. The 1st time I thought it was just a fluke, Maybe they were busy. But after it happened twice..... People need their prescriptions; It just completely uncalled for. There is literally no excuse. You dont even get an apology or your prescription filled right away because of there Human error. Just a rude shoulder shrug and what do you want us to do about it. Well geez, I dont know how about hire people that do their job. Just dont go here. So many other places to choose from. Theyre also very very rude. 0 friendliness, Not an ounce. The pharmacy in target in Woodhaven is much better.. The pharmacy in the Brownstown/Woodhaven Hospital off of west is amazing as well.

Working conditions at the Southgate Meijer Pharmacy must be horrible. This is the impression they give anyway. Whether at the counter, drive thru, or over the phone the customer service is the same, robotic with no life. There is little to no interest in helping, instead the bare minimum is given at most. A pharmacy should be helpful, a partner in ones healthcare. The people at Southgate Meijer pharmacy are not interested in your healthcare. With so many other pharmacies in the area, why go where you are not valued and respected? This is the question I ask myself and why Im saying goodbye Meijer Pharmacy!

There curbside need Kroger’s curbside team to train meijer curbside team, I’m sorry but there whole curbside operations need some attention, not t mention they also gave me bad produce, lesson learned, out management I vote Nathan has the best leadership customer service skills, others can learn from him 😂😂 one of the old bat employees got mad because I return, and because I did a small purchase at the service desk. But other than that I like meijer, but they. An learn a few lessons from Kroger 😂😂😂

Very rude staff member answering calls (Erin). I Called twice and both times the pharmacy technician acted like I was bothering her. You can tell she doesnt like her job. Will be forwarding my prescriptions elsewhere!

Went to get a prescription filled that I normally would have filled at Oakwood pharmacy. Oakwood was closed by the time I arrive there because I was late getting out of the doctors office. I have a good RX card and after presenting my Scripps and the goodrx card, this woman with bleach blonde hair asked for my identification and said I said I’ll be back in a minute. After about a five minute wait, the bleach blonde girl returned with my Scripps and my identification and told me that I would have to take the Scripps back to Oakwood. I started to explain to her that Oakwood was closed, it was Friday afternoon, And she quite rudely just turned around and walked away from me. I don’t know what her name is, I just know that she was one of the rudest people that I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with in a very long time! I will not be returning To Meijers to have any scripts filled, especially if that woman who thinks she’s all that works behind the counter. I quite happily went over to Walmart who had no problem in filling my prescription. Yes, I will be taking all my Scripps to Walmart in the hopes that I never have to deal with Meijer pharmacy in Southgate again.

I totally agree with the review by Beth R. The sale items are not always on the shelf... and Im partly to blame. I work there, so I know first hand that the ad stock is all screwed up. I find it frustrating both as a customer and as a employee. However, I do feel its one of the best stores. The staff is really friendly and willing to help, the store is clean, and make sure you give the clearance sections a look. Ive got some GREAT deals from there.I know youre probably thinking its biased for me to be reviewing the place I work--maybe it is--but I know the store better than any customer, trust me. Besides, I didnt even give it five stars... its not THAT good, I mean, I work there, How could it be? LOL.

Ive been using this pharmacy for a few years now with no complaints. The staff is friendly and always willing to take the time to answer questions, even when they are busy.The automated refill system could use some major tweaking, as it tries to refill prescriptions just 10 days after the previous refill. I finally unenrolled from it all together and just call in my refills when needed. Much easier.Shout out to Andy for going above and beyond to save me some money when my insurance tried to charge me an outrageous copay.

If you have no insurance, all Meijers or for that matter any big box store pharmacies charge a fortune for medication, when they can sell them dirt cheap as they buy in much bigger bulks than smaller pharmacies & the small ones charge dirt cheap, so it just tells me Meijers could care less about you & your scripts, now if you have insurance, I dont go here or any of them because its always a huge wait 2 hours minimum the few times I went here. Just go to a small pharmacy that will get to actually know your name & take care of you much better!

Some of their medications can be more expensive than their competitors, but I will say that the staff here is friendly and knowledgeable. They also fill your prescriptions in a reasonable amount of time as well.

I called in a rx from office and was transferred 3x gave all info to pharmacist over and over, PT went to get it. They DID NOT HAVE IT!!! I called them back, they didnt have it anywhere. I hung up and called Kroger. Wont be using theses rude incompetent people ever again!!!

Refused to fill my daughters flu medication because they couldnt verify her birthdate (she is 6) until the tomorrow because it is after hours. So much for a pharmacy being there for you when you need them. Walgreens across the street, had thr script on 10 Min with no hassles.

Took my prescriptions in to be refilled on a Saturday, they close at 6:00pm that day. The girl working behind the counter said come back in 30min, so I went to go get a few things i needed, and came back, it happened to be 6:03pm and the lady was ringing up a customers medication for him, the girl look at me and said they are closed. I said that I just needed to pick up my meds, she told me no, then closed the gate down at the countertop. All and all I feel I got treated rudely considering it was the same girl that i I gave my scripts to a half hour before hand..

When my Doctor prescribed Atorvastatin, he told me Meijer fills & refills 30 day supplies for free. Its been more than 3 years now and the offer still holds.Yes, I prepare and plan my Meijer shopping for my pickup trip.Thank you Meijer.---- Update 2020Statins arent free anymore.

They keep answering and hanging up. When I finally get in touch with someone, they ask if you can hold and hang up. Horrible service. The automated system calls me everyday all day telling me my prescription is ready but as soon as I go pick it up it isnt ready. They also almost never have any medication.

My doctor recommended I pick up my medication at meijer because it was expensive and he had a coupon for me. The woman informed me that they were out of my medication and I could pick it up the following day. She also informed me that the medication would be covered by insurance and I didnt need the coupon. I handed it to her and she disposed of it for me.When I came in to pick up my medication a new pharmacist assisted me and told me that this medication WAS NOT COVERED by insurance and that Id have to pay in full. THE ONLY REASON I WENT TO MEIJER WAS FOR THAT COUPON AND THEY THREW IT OUT BECAUSE I DIDNT NEED IT. Thanks Meijer. You basically threw MY MONEY in the trash.

Some of the staff at Meijer pharmacy in Southgate, Mi on Fort St are some of the rudest people I have EVER dealt with! I will NEVER use this pharmacy again! Its sad, the few that do work there, that actually care about the customers are NOT enough to out weigh the brashness and disrespectfulness of the bad ones! Its terrible!

Seems as though they are always waiting for my husbands rx to be in stock. Frustrating to come back next day as requested by them and it still not be in.
