Just loved Dr. Nielsen!!! Super friendly and did a great job explaining what was going on with my feet in a way that I understood! I would recommend him! In fact, I already have!
I dont even know where to begin. Ill try to keep it short. Saw a doctor. Decided together that surgery would correct my issue. Scheduled the surgery. Had pre-op appointment. Then the day before surgery I called the surgery center because I hadnt heard anything from them. They didnt haved any record of my procedure or the doctor on file. They found my info that was sent to the WRONG facility. Then we get things situated. Then at 4:50pm that day the DAY BEFORE MY SURGERY, I get a call from this office telling me that my surgery has NOT been approved by my insurance. Seriously?! Im sure the doctors are good, but I cant handle this level of mishandling so many differet things! IM OUT!
Careful while visiting this facility, they have no regard for their patients. Employees are still allowed to work while having Covid-19. I think that’s very unfortunate due to the fact that the times I’ve visited, the majority of their patients are elderly. They say that masks are required, but from what I can tell it’s not enforce.
Con-Artists of the highest caliber. Took several MONTHS to create my inserts, which were sent back multiple times. Wouldnt answer my questions over the phone because they wanted to charge me the $50 visitation fee. Incredibly shady and unprofessional.
My mom went with this specialist and she was seen my DR. Marciano and she doesn’t speak English and this doctor told my mom she need to speak English because this is usa. I’m going to tell you something you need to mind your business you here to help people with their medical problem not if people speak different languages. PeopleLike you is what makes America hate!! Who cares if you go to Mexico and speak Spanish or not! So next time please focus on doing your job!
I was in horrible pain with an in-grown toenail. Found this office on the internet, so really didn’t know anything about the doctors. Let me just say...Dr. Jimenez was the best! His bedside manner and humor made me feel so comfortable. I’m not scared of shots, but I am scared of feeling the procedure, so he made sure my very painful toe from an ingrown toenail was completely numb before proceeding, and completely understood my anxiety! If you’ve ever had one, you know what I mean!! I didn’t feel a thing!! (Even very little with the shots!) I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Jimenez. So glad I got the nerve to go, and so glad I was lucky enough to get this doctor!! Great experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend!
Professional and courteous office staff. Mikaela and Heather always greetme with smiles.Dr. Rolim has a great bedside manner. She listens attentively to your needs and concerns. It’s rare to find a doctor that is so caring and personable.
This past February (2015) I had surgery to remove a bunion.Needless to say, after three months I felt like something was not quite right. My toe was crooked and just looked odd. I reviewed different podiatrists in my area and found good reviews about Doctor Marciano. I went in for an appointment and was so glad I did.The X-rays showed that the first procedure was a ‘mess’ (my term) and after speaking with Dr Marciano, I was very reassured and confident that he was the best podiatrist to put my trust in. Yes, I had a ‘redo’ surgery and it was so very worth it. Dr Marciano lived up to every word he said and more. I know that he worked hard in surgery as the results were better than I expected.I recommend Dr Marciano to anybody who is looking for a podiatrist whos standards are above the norm. And I also received flowers from him and the staff. That meant a lot to me since I was having this done a second time. In the future, I will be going back to have surgery on my other foot.Sincerely,Cindy Columbia
So grateful to Academy Foot Specialists! My 11 year old had an injury the day before we were supposed to travel internationally. She wasnt able to put any weight on it and we were concerned about our trip. I called the office and the front desk was kind and able to get us in the same day! Dr. Marciano spent time with Olivia and addressed all our concerns and got us ready for our trip. Dr. Marciano and staff, thank you so much, we are grateful and recommend you with the highest accolades!!
I am so thankful to Dr. Rolim! She showed me genuine care and concern by listening and hearing me during my visits. The compassion I received during my care is unlike anything I have ever experienced by any other doctor.
I highly recommended Dr. Larissa Rolim! She’s an excellent doctor! Simply the best! Dr. Larissa is also very kind and a great listener! She’s a perfectionist!
I received an email receipt from this place and I am over 500 miles from there, and I have not traveled to TX. I called questioning why I got the payment notification and was met with an a”oh well” attitude. In this day and age with technologies available it could have easily been corrected. The person I spoke to was clueless.
Glad I got the expertise and care of Dr. Rolim. I ended up having a fracture in my foot that I wouldve avoided. Great experience from beginning to end!
I was injured playing tennis. My ankle swelled up as big as a softball. I called Academy Foot & Ankle and they got me in immediately! The staff was friendly and professional. I saw Dr. Yeargain that morning...he was very nice and took time to answer all of my questions. When I went in for my check up the following week, I saw Dr. Marciano. Dr. Marciano was fantastic! I continued to see Dr. Marciano throughout my recovery. He was/is very knowledgeable and great at his profession. He never seemed rushed to get to the next patient, he always answered my questions, he was spot on with my treatment...he never steered me in the wrong direction. --- I am COMPLETELY satisfied with my recovery. I will ALWAYS recommend Academy Foot & Ankle to my family and friends....Id NEVER go anywhere else!
Both Dr. Moradi and Brittany were extremely professional -- and very helpful in explaining my injury and course of treatment.
Dr. Larissa Rolim is truly amazing. My daughter had a serious ankle break playing soccer, and thanks to Dr. Rolim’s excellent care and surgery she’s now back on the soccer field, stronger than ever. Dr. Rolim not just a highly skilled professional, she’s also very caring and attentive. We are blessed to have had her as our doctor.
My first day I thought the receptionists were not customer oriented but thought the rest of the experience was going to be good as this place was referred to me by my CPC. Great mistake!!!! I agree with the other two comments, your money is welcome, you are NOT. After a year from the treatment AND having called them to see if I owed a balance (to what they responded that I did not), I received an invoice from them saying one of my insurances did not pay!! They did what I asked for and did it well, but do I recommend them or want to go back??? NO!
I have been to many other places for my foot issue over the last few years. Finally have found a place that listens to what I need and is getting me some relief.....would give 10 stars if that was an option. Thank you.
I am type one diabetic and was misdiagnosed by a podiatrist for two months while having excruciating foot pain. Once I found Dr. Rolim she quickly diagnosed my vascular problems and sent me to the hospital for necessary testing followed by surgery that lead to saving my foot from amputation. Since leaving the hospital I have remained in contact with the ladies in her office as well as following up with her the ladies in the front office are now on a first name basis with me and have helped answer my questions about care and helped me to get prescribed necessary medications to maintain my recovery! Tara, heather, and Nicole have bent over backwards for me!As a self employed subcontractor with no insurance it brings chills down my spine to see them constantly helping me while making my care affordable. This doctor as well as office truly cares about patients care more than other doctors I have encountered that tend to put my needs at the back of the line due to my insurance status. I will always be thankful and that is why I wanted to take time out of my day to give this office a five star review!!Cory Spencer
First off let me say i am a disabled veteran and have private humana gold insurance. I went in for 2 ingrown toenails. There was a girl at the desk in training who gave me the paperwork and told me to fill it out, no mention of read this section well They had me fill out the usual stack of new patient paperwork, then after a wait, I saw the Dr., when she was done, she gave me a kit to take home to assist in the healing of my toenails, and was told to come in for a followup in 2 weeks. When I went to check out, I was told that I had to pay $345 that day. There is no way I can afford this. I told them if they had just told me up front that I would have to pay that much, I would have just gone to the VA, and the girl talking to me then responds with thats why we tell everyone to read that section well, again i wasnt told that, but it says that you agree to pay an estimate of what your insurance doesnt cover. I told her they needed to tell people how much they will be charging up front, especially if its going to be a high balance. She said, they dont because if we do, it makes it seem like its all about the money. I only had $50 that day, which I paid, and so they took the take home kit that the Dr had just said I needed, a, $35 kit, and gave me a printed out paper they had ready for how to care for my toenail with Epsom salt. Needless to say I cant afford to go back for my checkup. This is horrible business practices, and like other reviewers have said, its clearly all about the money at this place.
Overall a great experience. The caring staff took care of me with an expertise rivaled by none. Having a toe problem on multiple occasions, going to multiple doctors, I can certainly say that Doctor Rolim and the other staff are aprart the most professional and curtious facility Ive been to.
I really appreciate the great service from the staff and Dr. Rolim at Academy. The office staff was very pleasant and it was convenient to do my paperwork online before my appointment. On the day of, everything was on schedule and Dr. Rolim performed a minor surgical procedure. I didnt feel a thing and am glad to be rid of the pain and discomfort. Dr. Rolim rocks! Thanks again.
I paid a lot of money over several visits. They always take the payments right after the visit is over. But I got a bill for 60$ couple of months back and I called the billing dept and left 3 messages saying that I paid the bill during the visit. Nobody every called back. Now it went to collection agency. Cannot believe it. I called again the billing office and south lake office and they again put me on hold for ever or transfer to another dept where no one picks up the call.
Super friendly staff. Went 4 Times for my issue and my appointment was right on time, every time. No waiting forever like most doctors offices.
After a bad pinky toe break Dr. Rolim and her staff took care of me and were very thorough. I can walk again! Thanks.
Was not told that the items given to me after my visit were going to be sold to me nor was i told at what price per item. Walked out feeling like i had just gone to a mechanics shop with overly priced parts that i didnt even need. They were just installed without telling me the cost per part. They have a scam going on here and it warrants looking into by authorities.
If you want to waste your time and a lot of money getting treated for something as simple as Plantar Fasciitis then go here. I was prescribed metabolic supplements, pain patches and some awful shoe inserts (not covered by insurance) that made everything worse. Dr Marciano even mentioned I had great insurance and that everything would be covered. I am mystified how a metabolic supplement is going to help Plantar Fasciitis....guess he is getting a kick back from that pharmacy.Upon seeing another doctor from another practice they said I presented classically....meaning you could clearly tell by the swelling of my heel it was plantar and an ultra sound confirmed it. Got a cortisone shot and I am as good as new in one visit. Who knows how many weeks this practice could have stretched my treatment out before finally giving me a proper diagnose and milking my insurance. Avoid this practice....they are after your hard earned money and insurance benefits. I will note my husband had a very positive experience with another doctor (Suttle) so maybe its just Dr Marciano who is out for $$$.
Horrible experience, apparently I am not the type of patient he went to school to help heal. Now I must find another foot Dr. who will actually have the time to answer my questions. $$$ is right.
