Clean and well organized. The people are pleasant and the parking is not horrible.

Kelly (in the framing dept.) is Amazing! She went above and beyond to help me out. I made an online order at about 4:30 pm, not really thinking and needing it by 5:30, so i called the store and happened to get Kelly on the phone. She took time out of her schedule to run and grab the items to fill my online order in minutes. She saved my high schoolers night and got him the last minute supplies he needed. Thanks again Kelly! Theres not too many like you!

Most incredible sales Ive ever witnessed even better used they had 70 % off of all art supplies plus so much more I got a tree that was 120 for $30 unbelievable total score that day and they are ALWAYS having these sales if I were to go anywhere else Id of had to spend several hundred instead of $100.00 love this place

Its your run of the mill, average Michaels. Stock was decent - though didnt have everything I needed in the colors I was looking for - and the store was clean. Employees were capable and kind.

Recently visited Michaels in Sparks. Within 2 minutes of being there I realized why I rarely shop at Michaels anymore. Their core pricing strategy is passe to say the least. Their price tags are hardcoded with crazy ridiculous prices, then they have signs all over the place with various discount percentages off. If their intent is to try and fool consumers by the discount signs, it does not work for me. Way too much visual sale sign clutter and way too much nonsense on pricing. Price tags with super high prices and a 40% off sign on every aisle is annoying. Be true to the pricing in the first place and ONLY have SALE signs for items on SALE. Not for practically everything in the store. Its a bad business model in my opinion. Once again I left disappointed at pricing and inventory.

We got a bunch of projects for my 6, 10 and 12 year olds. So much cool stuff to inspire creativity... and a super short check out line.

You can get lost in this place, and leave buying more then you had planned. Their staff are really helpful and the coupons are great. Get ready for an arts and crafts adventure.

I wanted to get a quick matting job done. Came to the Sparks location and Jo helped both me and my roommate with quick, professional assistance. A few days later I took another photo and frame into the Reno location and was told without even listening to what I wanted that it would “take at least a week”. Instead of staying there, I took my frame and photo back to the Sparks location where Jo again, looked and listened to what I needed. Brought up a mock review on the computer and then promptly went into the back and cut the matte for me, again in 10-15 minutes. I was able to take my frame home that same evening and hang it on the wall. Very satisfied customers.

Great customer service, good supply and variety of craft items

I was able to easily find a quality easle, canvasses and quality acrylic paints. The line was a bit long for check out but not too bad.

I like Michaels in general, but this store was a mess. A ton of items were not in stock and the clearance was mixed in with non clearance items. I think that confused customers probably abandoned items there, but no employees are going through to check and put things right. My review would have been 3 stars, except for the wonderful cashier who helped us check out. She had to price check 4 items (another problem-- the organization is quite bad in certain areas and items are missing tags), and found out all of that information for us as efficiently as possible. She forgot to scan my coupon first, despite me reminding her well in advance to use coupons first in a good assertive volume, through my mask. She apparently didnt hear me. I dont blame her, I blame the mask. They are not good for communication. I was frustrated and she calmly and kindly had a manager void the order and re-scanned every item for me just to use the coupon. It saved me a significant amount and was so kind of her to do so graciously. Her behavior makes me think that shopping here might be worth it, despite the disarray, if the staff are going to provide such excellent service. She was a gem!

Great selection of tons of fun craft things to do!

Ordered online and got the message my order was ready. Got all the way there only to be told sorry we dont have that item and then proceeded to argue with me about getting a message saying it was ready until she was shown it. Did not get a message that my money was being returned until almost midnight. Not exactly a fun experience.

Frame I ordered was replaced by different one. I was offered to send back for frame I had picked but as it was a gift I had to except it. I asked if there was a price difference I was told no. As one I picked was more ornate and this one plain I thought there would be. It was not cheap for a photo frame.

I frequent this location most often as it is the closest one to me. The staff is friendly and helpful. For the most part this location keeps items stocked, there are a few occasions (usually winter) where there is a truck that has been delayed so things are a bit baron. But all in all, this is a great store! Keep it up!

Got in, found what I needed and got out very quickly. Help finding items was offered twice in the 5 minutes I was shopping. There were plenty of people at checkout and I only waited a couple of minutes.

I was looking for a sketchbook so that I could start learning how to draw with oil pastels. They had a Good variety to choose from and for good prices. They even gave me a 40% discount. They help make it inexpensive for people like me who are trying to look for a new hobby.

Im a nerd and I have Artistic interests, Michaels is always tidy, well stocked and the staff are very helpful. I prefer a brick and mortar store because I cant always tell what Im looking at on a webpage and Im tactile. If I cant feel it and touch it and guage its purpose for whatever task Im working on, it doesnt help that it has a million likes if its poor quality or wrong for my intended plot. I recommend Michaels if you want a good well rounded arts and crafts and hobby store. Thank you !

The micheals in north reno is always a good get away for an afternoon. They have good merchandize and when they put stuff on clearance you can get very nice items for Pennys on the dollar. The new assistant manager Megan is super nice and can help you find almost anything you need fast, if your in a hurry.

Gotta love Michaels. Coupons are sent all the time. The deals are great with the coupons. They almost always have what you need in a wide variety of arts, crafts and seasonal materials.

I went in for some acrylic paints and to research some of the self striping yarn cakes that are so popular right now. They have certainly expanded their yarn area at this store since the last time I was in, and they have a number of different brands to choose from. The check out line moved quickly and we were out in good time. The store was clean and the sales clerk who helped us was pleasant. Will be returning!

I really dont know why I shop here . Their shelves are empty everytime I go . There isnt really anyone to ask questions unless you go to a casher .....

Fun expensive place

I visited the framing department to have glass replaced and the matting changed on a very old picture. Sue, was great! She helped me pick out the color for the mat and explained how the picture would be sealed to protect it, due to the age of it. I was extremely pleased when I picked the picture up!!!! I highly recommend Michaels!!!

Employees were great. They said they just lost their lady that was the most knowledgeable with jewelry making and couldnt really help me in that aspect. But they put their best foot forward in trying and kept a great attitude through all my questions, lol. Always a clean store also. And wide variety of all craft and arts products.

Lot of yarn on clearance new cashiers so kinda slow checking out

I went in and it was very busy. I knee where things were and able to find what I needed. There wasnt a lot of employees on the floor. I had a screen shot of coupons so I was ready when I checked out. The check out line wasnt too long and moved fast. The employees were pleasant and didnt rush me as I found my coupon on my phone. I was in and out quickly.

So I’d say yesterday 7/5/19 about 3:30-4:00 in the afternoon we went to this store. We were looks for candles and some other things. My wife and I and two young boys were there now my kids and boys have been really good kids all day. As we were looking at some candles get ready to buy some my boy were being kids and your typical boys looking at toys they had out. They were looking at a rack of balls and some water guns no big deal. My 6 year old boy just happened to bouncing a ball in the store like any other kid would do. I get it I understand I was a kid he was not throwing the ball or even hurting anyone. Wasn’t causing any issues. Then one of the employees and tbh I don’t care who you are or why you did it. That blasted my son on the loud speaker in front of the whole store. Saying would the customer bouncing the ball in the store needs to stop. First off he is 6 years old he doesn’t need to put into tears and blasted in front of the whole store. If you guys had just come over and asked nicely for my son to stop or if you had realized he was just 6 years old that would have been one thing but, you don’t blast a 6 year old boy on the loud speaker in front of the store just saying. News flash if you don’t want kids playing with toys and balls and just being kids don’t put that stuff out on your sales floor. I’m sure anyone who has had or has kids would understand. Needless to say we put back the ball and the other products we were going to buy and left the store. I wouldn’t be writing this had the just came to us and asked nicely instead of putting a 6 year old boy on blast in front of the whole store. It’s going to be a while if at all before we shop there again. I will also be sure to let as many people know how rude and uncalled for this was and advise them that this store doesn’t deserve our business.

Was looking for tabletop tree. Stopped & guy took me to where they were & lucked out as had just got them in. Got in line & was out the door in 20 minutes or less. Tree is perfect & they were very nice. Kudos on great help. Was inexpensive as well, compared to Home Depot & Walmart. Thanks Michaels!!!!

Curbside takes way too long for so few items but overall a great store
