Chuck had great customer service from the beginning to end! It was simple and streamline. Great communication and very detailed on the car issue. Went in for emissions testing of my vehicle- great service on entering and was led to a very nice lounge (with TV, magazines, game tables, snacks, restrooms, etc) on the side of the shop while waiting. Super fast visit, friendly staff, fair pricing and overall a very nice experience! Recommend.

Took my truck in for transmission repair and ac/heater issues. Jeff, the owner, was very personal and showed he cared. I will only take my vehicles to Jeff moving forward. He gave me updates on progress as well as being the best price for repairs after calling 6 other shops. He also gave a me nationwide Napa auto warranty for the work. Well, after another mechanic erroneously told another driving my car that the engine light wasnt a big deal and then later we almost got into an accident on the highway, Chuck and his lovely team swooped in and fixed the problems right away and in insane amount of time. I am recommending them to all my friends for saving my butt and my car!

I called to get my heater looked at and they were the quickest to get me an appointment. And when I dropped my car off they made sure to have it done on time for me.

Was in a pinch. I’m a mechanic but had to move and had no where, and no time to work on it. They kept my truck for an extra day, replaced the wrong part for the check engine code, didn’t get it done in time. Lied to me on the phone about needing to keep it another day to go drive to hit enable criteria. The next day they say it’s ready for pick up. I say great, thank you so much. They say all you need to do it go drive it to hit enable criteria. Enable criteria is a certain threshold that has to be met( key cycles, driving at certain speeds for certain times etc)So they just kept it for an extra day for no reason. Had they spilled oil on engine and didn’t wipe it off. They give me my keys and I go out to leave and noticed they pushed the hood down but didn’t latch it. Very sloppy work and no attention to detail. Wasted very important time because I was in the middle of moving and needed my truck. Go somewhere else for your repairs!

I was recommended to come here a while back so I had my whole car redone. Basically all the fluids re done and made sure the car was running good. My check engine light came on and it turned out to be the o2 sensor needing replaced. I was dealing with Fred. Very nice guy but I never received any phone calls regarding any updates on my car or if they would need it overnight. I had dropped it off at 9am and didn’t hear back from them so I called about 2 and then he had told me he would need the car overnight to see what it would do with a cold start to my engine. Totally understandable but very unaccommodating since that is my only vehicle and I work. I don’t understand how they would not realize this. Anyway they had figured out the check engine light charged me $156 then when I drove away the light came back on. I had to bring it back the next morning after work and again they didn’t call or tell me they would be keeping it over night. I just assumed that is what they were doing since I never received yet another phone call. I told him about the o2 sensor maybe being bad since I did a lot of research and then Fred finally called me back saying that it was the upstream o2 sensor needing replaced. I decided to take my car elsewhere to get it fixed.

I needed a drivers side wheel hub replaced and went back to AMaster Mechanic after a 1-plus year hiatus, having gotten my car maintenance done at a station closer to my Office. The AMaster staff had always done very good servicing of my car and I am happy to have gotten back to them!

A Master received my truck and in 2 business days had identified and fixed the AC leak I had that Ram couldn’t every year for the last 5 years. Fred was great and had coordinated with Arrow Automotive before even receiving my truck. I highly recommend them for your vehicle maintenance needs!!

I got to know Jeff through a great friend of mine. And finally I needed help, so uncle needed help with his car and I went to to his shop to get his car fixed. They were quick(it was done on the first day), the value of getting it fixed was excellent and their customer service was amazing.Here is an example of their customer service: Gina called me a week later to check up on my car and I felt very pleased to know that they care on how the car was doing and if there was anything wrong.Completely recommend!!

Had them work on my daughters 2004 BMW X5. They fixed the A/C system $1,200 +. Everything was good for about a week when it started having charging issues. I checked the voltage at the battery running and it was 12.6. Ok I will replace the alternator. $240. No change 3 days of tracking down the issue and 4 migraines later I tracked it down to a grounding issue. The BMW engine ground is attached to the A/C compressor which AMASTER MECHANIC replaced and just left unattached. How does a master mechanic not ground the engine. They are the ones who reconnected it. I called and left a message and they could not even give me the courtesy of a return phone call. I cant return the alternator I did not need because it was already installed. Out $240 for a part I did not need. I

I never had such an honest and amazing customer experience at a mechanic before bringing it to A Master Mechanic. I brought my 2001 VW Golf to Jeff after having some issues and knowing zero things about vehicle maintenance and repair. When finding any issues, he brought them up and showed me what was wrong and how he needed to fix it. Him and his team were very thorough and informative during the whole process!This place will be my go to spot for all services from now on.Thanks Jeff!

Always friendly and always professional.

I have been a customer at A Master for over ten years. I have always trusted their judgment and have recommended them to family and many friends. When my air conditioner quit working I took it in to be fixed. I explained that it wasn’t blowing air from the vents. I also asked to check why the heater quit working on the right side and to do any repairs needed. I was told that I needed to replace the blower motor, resistor, pigtails, etc. When I went to pick up the car it was not working well. I called and explained that it was the same as when I originally dropped it off. Still no air coming through the vents. Fred told me to bring it back and they would take a look. Fred told me that it was working but they had put a smaller motor in it and that was why it didn’t have the air flow that it once did and that I was being too picky. I said this isn’t acceptable! I paid $990.44 for absolutely nothing and it needed to be fixed. They kept my car for six days, called me and told me they had done several different things and that it was as good as it was going to get. I took it to another mechanic and low and behold the the blower was spinning backwards. It was installed backwards by A Master. I called and spoke to Jeff and let him know that I wouldn’t be coming back to his shop, due to the awful treatment. All Fred did is try to convince me of something I knew was a lie! I seriously doubt that the second time I took my car in that anything was done. All Jeff said is that I should have let him know sooner! My car was there for a total of eleven days! So almost $1,000 for nothing at A Master, then another $1,718.71 at American Auto Air to repair the poor job from A Master and actually fix the problem. You not only lost my business but both of my daughters and a few friends that I recommended will all be going somewhere else.

A Master Mechanic is honest & does a great job on all makes & models.

Super friendly staff, however when I asked them to check out a noise I had been hearing in my rear wheel wells, they charged $75 to tell me that my tires rub. They also checked out my check engine light and told me it would be about $4,500 to fix. I did not get a print out of the pricing and all the parts it supposedly needed a found on the internet for about $500! I feel like I was getting ripped off.

Incompetent. Missed a bad upper control arm on my truck, the owner offered a 104 credit before he saw I gave him a 1 review. Now he wont even do that.If you have Master Mechanics how was it missed? I will never know because they wont give any explination as to how it was missed. Also my truck was 3/4 HIGHER ON the passenger side. Jeff the owner was super sarcastic Oh Im SO sorry bla blah blah.You can shove that Franklin up your @$$.Hows that for lady like Jeff!! Went to another shop to find a laundry list of more items they missed. WORST SHOP EVER!! GLAD I FOUND A NEW PLACE THAT HAS MECHANICAL EXPERIENCE!! Because A Masters doesnt.

I’m a first time customer, but my family members have been going to A Master Mechanic for a couple of years. I was not disappointed. Joe talked with me about what needed to be done. There were no surprises when the work was done. The price seemed reasonable and right in line with industry norms. The drop off and pick up that Jake did was excellent. He made sure that I was on time for work and I felt safe with his driving skills. Great experience overall and will use them for my repair and maintenance needs!

I have used A-MASTER MECHANIC for years. In the last couple of weeks I came in for a SMOG test & an oil change…followed by getting an electrical problem fixed. I have been very blessed to have found Jeff years ago!! I can always count on fast service, accurate repairs, very competent office workers. My records are always up to date. If the repair will take a long time then they give me a ride home and back again as in!!

I keep coming back because they keep doing a great job and their prices are always fair.

The waiting room is absolutely first rate, with pool and shuffleboard, along with complimentary drinks and a big TV which, presumably during any other time thats not a pandemic, would have sports on it. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, transparent and honest. They totally won me over!

I came in for a ac refill. I ran into unforeseen complications and they were more then happy to resolve with very minimumal cost to me. The ac is now blowing so frosty cold I have to turn it down. Initially, I had a bad review of this establishment but my entire view of this place is changed for ever.When I called for a minor repair (getting the timing set on an engine) I was accidentally put on hold for some time. Through a misunderstanding somewhere along the hold time, I was left on hold for 30 minutes. I was somewhat irritated and finally hung up. In turn, I left a one-star review.But then today, I received a call from the CEO of the shop. He was ABSOLUTELY the most professional person I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. Jeff, you are a class act. He is a true display of what it takes to make sure a machine is well oiled(pun intended). He offered to take care of me free of charge for the inconvenience and was genuine. Worst experience ever. First of all they quoted me 700, then charged me 1500. Then my car didnt even make it to the first red light before breaking. Never ran right after. Had them look at it, same story, still not right. And finally, took it to them to fix it again.. and they damaged my fenders and wouldnt take responsibility. Shady crooks. Do not go here.

A Master Mechanic are truly masters at what they do.I’ve had the most stressful day before taking off for burning man tomorrow! My AC went out when I was at another shop getting an oil change. They didn’t have time to help but highly recommended A Master Mechanic. I called and the staff was very understanding and made time for me right away. I arrive flustered and over heating on one of the hottest days of the year, run down from putting out playa prep fires all day. They have super friendly and caring staff!! The team is very knowledgeable. They cut to the meat of the matter rather than drag out the diagnostic process. With their knowledge, they were able to figure out what was wrong when others couldn’t. They were quick with solutions and quick with installation. A Master is not the cheapest shop in town but worth every penny I spent! Their shop is super clean, the waiting room is relaxing, and is all windows so you can watch them take care of your car. They value transparency. A Master Mechanic was recommended by my independent mechanic in Santa Cruz before I moved here. I appreciate excellent quality but dont like dealers prices so I always use highly rated, independent mechanics. A Master Mechanic is top notch and I recommend them to everyone.

These people are great people.They are honest. They work very hard. And most of all, your business means more than anything to them.And with the option to have a 6 month payment plan with no fees and no interest? That’s what I call great service. And even that: is a bit of an understatement.I strongly encourage anyone with any problems on their vehicle to give them a call.

Brought my car in because of a engine light code, I gave them the code but it still took them 6 hours to diagnose. After calling multiple times through the day, they then came up with a list of unrelated issues and pricetag of $700 to fix. what should have amounted to a misfiring spark plug. After telling them, no way, I had to pay $160 just to get my car back. Very unpleasant experience, won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.

Shop was able to quickly get an oil change. The cost was exactly as quoted. The technician was efficient and professional.

Dropped in for 100k check up. Got an appointment the next day. Kept my truck safely locked up over night!Fred schedule everything perfect!

My wife dropped off her Yukon. They treated us like second class citizens, and then tried to charge my wife 190. When I heard about it I said enough, fred tried to overcharge my wife for no good reason other than selfish greed. They said that they would do the work within the parameters of the insurance agreement and lied. I make good money and wouldnt suggest them.

My A Master Mechanic experience was amazing. When I called initially, I was greeted promptly and professionally. I had had quite the day and was so happy to have found a place that I felt comfortable leaving my only car and also knew that it would be taken care of. I received a phone call the following day after dropping it off at 430 the day before that it was ready. The mechanic took the time to resolve the issue without recommending brand new or replacement parts when none were necessary. The team took care of an oil change, rotation, and replaced a light for me with a bulb that I had purchased but had not gotten around to installing. Upon arriving to pick up my car, i was greeted by name and walked through the work that was completed. After paying, my car was brought around front for me. The Service Manager was fantastic. Not that I wish to have future issues with my car but if I did, I A Master Mechanic would be the first place I call!

So I’ve had several vehicles serviced here and they are just a pleasure to deal with. It’s never fun having a broken car but they make it as painless as possible. There’s been a few times when they couldn’t fix the problem and they were straight forward with me and didn’t run up my bill doing unnecessary tests.I would send my mom here, not sure I can give a higher recommendation than that!

First time getting my car serviced there. Went in thinking it was struts, and it was the front and rear rotors. They did the job in less than 4 hours, and took the time to explain the repairs and didnt try to take advantage. Mike is a professional and I would recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic. Dont focus on the price. You get what you pay for and knowing my car was repaired properly by professionals was well worth it.

I can not RECOMMEND A Master Mechanics Enough!!!!I first had THEM Smog my 1994 Lincoln Towncar, they found that a sensor needed replaced and called me to let me know before they did any work or added any extra charges. I then had trouble with my car getting up and going, so I called them again and took it to them because I knew they would find out what was wrong, call me first before work or any extra charges were made. Not only did they get my car running EXCELLENTLY Joe personally made it his mission to not only call me every step of the way, He literally took the time to explain what was wrong and what was needed to get my car fixed. I have not found any other mechanics that I have delt with IN Reno that has had, such high standards. Over priced for a simple Honda oil change and they put the wrong oil even tho I got my tune up with them. And my AC belt that they where supposed to replace is still Squeaking. Honestly don’t even want to go back to get fixed got the right mechanic to fix everything.

I had an air conditioning issue on my classic car doing the Hot August Nights event. Pat the Service Manager squeezed me in with short notice. Nice clean shop. I was very impressed with the technical knowledge of Jerry. Most shops dont like to deal with classic and modified cars however these guys took on the job with enthusiasm.

As a female, a Mechanic is not somewhere I love to go, but at A Master Mechanic, they treat you with respect and kindness. Jeff always explains things to me, which is great for me, since I dont know the lingo.
