Quaint little store packed with any and almost all sporting goods you could ever ask for. The sales people where nice and helpful. I found what I needed and then walked around the store to see what I could find. Very nice place

Very friendly staff, greeted right once walking in. They had exactly what I was looking for and more. In and out within 10m, which worked out fine, as I had other errands to run before going camping.

This place has a little bit of everything you could possibly need for almost any sport there is. Camping gear, fishing, cycling, clothing, its all there. Friendly staff. Matthew was particularly helpful in finding running shoes at a good price. Not like Im a runner, just find them comfortable. Prices are good too!

Big 5 sends me a deal of the day for being on their email. Some of these one day deals are amazing. But they run weekly adds that have great deals as well, but as I just found out last night you cant combine the one day sales with other coupons. To me its worth checking out what is on sale.

I went in the other day looking to get a new net for my basketball hoop and a new ball, a young man named richie greeted me into the store and was more then welcomed to help me find what I was looking for, not only was the service amazing the prices are one of a kind! Will definitely be returning to this establishment!!

The store is over crowded with items, and the clearance rack not really clearance when items are $5-$15 off regular price. Had few things I liked but even the back packs are hard to look at because of the way they display them! I went in for a duffel bag & never found them. Found one good deal and upon checking out the short thin gal was rude continued talking to make employees never even said hello but atleast at end of transaction said have a good day as she handed me my bag

Im not particularly impressed with this location. Their selection is very limited. The Olympic weights never seem to be stock. They say they receive shipments every Friday. but every Friday I go there. NO weights. Im not happy with management because they provide no reassurances. Overall I would say its a poorly run store.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff coupled with wide selection of inventory at a fair price are the keys to why this is a great store. I would have given it 5 stars but the store is kinda small for all the stuff they squeeze in, and often I prefer to go in and have a look around without it feeling like one of the staff is working for commission... (no offense, they really are nice people there).

Found what I needed, cause they always have what Im looking for at a great price. Very convenient since the gym I workout at is a few doors down.

This is where I go to get my boys their gear for sports. The staff is always helpful and friendly. We went in a while back looking for cleats for my son and the gentlemen helping us was apologetic for not having more colors in a certain cleat, well my son loved the on funky color that was in stock and he was really excited to show his dad. The older gent who works there was really patient with my young son who was asking him a million questions about everything, sir you didnt have to answer all his questions but you did, so thanks for being awesome!

Came here looking for softball cleats for coed league and left happy. Found a nice pair I actually liked and at a decent price and even found a nice pair of batting gloves to match. They also have coupons which you get better deals than stores like Scheels.

My husband was looking for a particular coat he had seen. We went to the Big 5 in Sparks. They had the coat but not in his size. The very polite and professional young lady working there checked and told us the Big 5 in Reno had the coat in the size my husband needed. She offered to call the Reno store and ask them to hold it for us. She did so. We drove to the Reno store and found its employees as polite and professional as the ones in Sparks. Ahhhh, customer service! How enlightening it is to see that it still exists!

Great place to buy sports goods especially snow sports

I love my Nike Downshifter 7 sneakers! Big 5 has a great value and I love the selection but today the poor service overshadowed the positives. I was trying to get a pair of shoes and after making eyes at the young sales associate a few times I finally asked if I needed him to grab a pair of shoes for me and he very rudely said only if they arent out already then he returned to staring at a tablet. I put the shoes down and turned to leave when a nice older man offered help. Had it not been for the second gentleman I wouldnt have bought the shoes and probably would just go to another store next time.

Okay, they might not be Scheels Outfitters in Sparks which carry just about everything sports related but the price is much less expensive. You will find many sports items with discount pricing which your pocket would love.

They were so helpful getting down multiple roller blades for me. Then exchanging them for the right size a week later.

We stayed in Pahrump and had some time on our hands and decided to go for a walk never realizing we would end up in this sports store. The deals were so good we had to take advantage of them. The staff was super friendly and helped us out in every way. We found good deals on boots and sweat pant and shirts that were unreal. They didnt have my size in a pair of boots and insisted to call ahead to our next destination in Sparks and had them waiting for us. She did tell us that they have even better deals on black friday so you all have been fore warned for the holiday season and gift shopping. You gotta check it out!

Always a great place to pick up name-brand shoes on the cheap. Good for picking up soccer and Little League equipment too. Check their website and there is usually a discount coupon pop-up on there.

The young lady working tonight greeted me with a smile and promptly asked me how she could help me. As i begin to explain a return i have on an item another person so nicely over talked us both and told me with out a receipt they could not refund my money. However; they could give me a store credit. Ok i can live with that if i could find something i needed in that type of store so i browsed around. Finding nothing in the shoe aisle ( figured id get my daughter her nikes she wanted, but they only carry sporting shoe) so then i find a pair of gloves i thought i should have fir when i ride my bike around, then a few little thing i thought why not even though i didnt need them. So i go back to the counter. I sart to talk to the young lady again and im guessing this guy was the manager is standing there listening and says ill be back in a minute and walks awayim thinking. This is rude. You interupt in the first place and take over your employees conversation, then you interupt again after i say i found some things id buy but its less than the amount to refund and juat walk away. So 5 minutes later he comes back ( we have not come to an agreement on the issue) and tells the employee somwthing and she starts typing and he asks me for my zip code and my name, then tells me because i dont have the reciept that he will only allow me to get what the item cost today and my luck the item is on sale. So less than half what i paid abfew days ago. I said no thank you and asked for my item back. He walks away again. The young lady said he was goinh to get the item. He walked over and grabbed it off the shelf. Handed it to me and i left. Why would he restock an item that had not been returned ? Assuming i would just take the silly offer and lose over $50 ? I have a POS system in my store and cameras. I return any item that is in the packaging with no questions because if i ever needed to i could scroll my sales history and cameras to see if the item was sold . how is it that with a price tag specifying the company name and price is on the box in perfect condition not be enough for a refund ?? Or check you system to see what you sold recently of that item. To the worst part is i was streotyped and followed around the store as if i was stealing stuff. I work for everything i have and i spend my money on the things i enjoy buying. When a customer feels the way i do after this visit there is a chance you will lose that customer. Whether it is a penny or a million dollars you treat each customer as if they are your only one. That nose up in the air attitude aor making me feel uncomfortable in your store cost that business a customer and that was not the way your employee should have seen you handle this.

I absoulty love this place. The staff is amazing. Acknowledgable about the equipment they sale and super friendly. This is my go to location for sports equipment. 3 kids and 2 adults in sports and i can say we spend to much here!😂😂

Did not stock NB specifically designed walking shoes. Staff however were cordial, helpful and did not oversell NB and other shoe brands not designed for walking.

I visited this store for the first time based on a recommendation. The store seemed packed with stuff everywhere, so it was a little daunting figuring out where to look. A sales person did direct us to the section I needed, but they had a very small selection, and most of that was very picked-over so they didnt have the size I needed. I ended up going to Target, where I wasnt sure if they would have what I wanted at this time of year, but they had a good selection and I found what I needed right away. I wouldnt go so far as to say this store was bad, but for my needs it wasnt great, and I dont think I would go back.

Went in to get shoes for my son. Met at the door by the staff. Immediately felt welcomed. They were right there assisting him in finding the pair he needed for track. They have a small swim section.

If I could I would give them a 0. I bought my husband gift there. There didnt say anything about no return policy. So I went back to return it cause bought wrong one they said I couldnt and laugh at me. The guy was rude and mean and said I looked liked a bad person. This manger needs to be fired. Im never going back and telling friends and family.
