This office is very efficient and helpful. I received my glasses in just 3 days when I thought it would take a couple of weeks. The staff are kind and cheerful.

I have been going to Family Eye Care and associates for many years. I went to an eye doctor for cosmetic purposes, and was referred to a glaucoma specialist immediately. I was diagnosed with narrow angles in both eyes that should have been detected by Family Eye Care. Even though the staff is nice, it does not excuse the fact that they are not thorough. If you go to this place, ask questions, it is not worth your sight not too. I am very disappointed that my optometrist there was not educated enough to discover narrow angles, glad it was detected by a specialist who knows what they are doing.

I have been going to Family Eyecare for so many years now- Dr. Cooper always takes such good care of me and I look forward to seeing her every year. I always feel like she has my best interest at heart - financially as well as optically - and I can tell that she genuinely cares.I remember that in 2018 there were some glitches with front desk operations and scheduling (not enough to keep me away, of course!), but it seems those have been totally obliterated and they are functioning fantastically now! I did not catch her name, but the front desk representative was friendly, welcoming and efficient. She was so apologetic that I had to wait in line, but I dont expect to not have to wait in line when I go anywhere and I was happy to see them busy and thriving. Still, I was grateful for the acknowledgement and felt that she and her co-worker who jumped in to help are great examples of the seemingly lost art of customer service.In fact, every employee who helped me during my visit seemed to have some special training on this elusive art. Blake was downright enjoyable (as well as comfortingly knowledgeable) to get through those introductory moments of the eye exam with, and Mike and Alyssa were the cherry on top. I told them what I wanted and then said Now lets see if I can afford it and they navigated my insurance and did not hesitate to apply any sales that were currently running and I was able to leave with contacts, a very very cute new pair of prescription computer glasses with blue light protection (something I have been needing for a long time now) a new pair of prescription sunglasses, AND a warranty repair on my current frames. I could not possibly be happier. I would recommend Dr. Cooper and the Family Eyecare Associates staff to anyone, whether they currently have a preferred eye doc or not!

I’m giving you 3 stars because my past experience has been amazing! Recently my service has been horrible. I made an appointment for a RA/diabetes eye exam stating this several times during my call. The scheduler disregarded my request (with me not knowing) and scheduled me for a regular eye exam. I do all the pretests and am escorted into the room where I wait no kidding an hour and a half. My appointment was important to me because of the RA that I begrudgingly waited. So to find out after waiting so long that they are not going to do the RA test I was livid. Luckily they went ahead and gave me the test. I was born with a cataract in my right eye that has progressively gotten worse and we decided to go ahead and have it removed and they would continue my after care. At my after care appointment the drs assistant was about to put the wrong eye drops in my eye that just had surgery. They laughed it off! “Oh it’s no big deal, it wouldn’t have hurt anything”! It is a big deal to me. I tried emailing the doctor my concern and even got a confirmation email stating it was received. No response! Now I go in a month later for my post surgery appointment and they are missing some of my medications in my file! This is DANGEROUS! Doctor apologized profusely but did not give any indication of rectifying there error. I do not like writing bad reviews, but with the casual not caring brushing off demeanor I feel that I have no choice. My eyes are very important to me and I’m honestly afraid to ever step foot in this office again. 3 appointments in 2 months ALL bad!Second email sent and no answer! I wish that they would take this seriously.ITS BEEN 4 WEEKS SENSE YOU RESPONDED AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL! Another little thing that happened too was that I was concerned with my eye shaking when I read and the response (with a smile) oh it’s something that may go away or you’ll just have to live with it. Now I have to wait with a shaky eye until June when my insurance will pay again to see a new doctor. How very disappointing.

We called the call center and were told that the contacts were ready. I went to pick them up and was told they did not arrive and were two weeks out.

Family Eyecare Associates and Dr. Troy are amazing! They have donated their services to my son through the Lion’s Eye Foundation and work in conjunction with the doctors in San Francisco. They are true angels and we are forever grateful!

Dr. Marchant opened the office later in the night to remove metal debris in my eye. Amazing service! Awesome doctor! Thank you sooo much!

My first appointment on 2/21/2019 was an excellent experience. Cindy was very kind and personable performing all the preliminary exams, and Dr. Katie Braganza was equally kind and very professional. Kristi assisted me with frames, and was very warm & helpful. Kudos to the entire staff. Really great bunch of people. The name is very appropriate because it felt like visiting a family. Looking forward to future appointments and will update my review as needed.

I have been coming to this office for 10 years and I love it! I travel at times and have had to stop in a few places out of state and I have to say this family/office is the absolute best! They have the nicest office I have been in with the best up to date equipment and systems in place. The staff and the doctors are very knowledgeable and thorough. I recommend them to everyone I know that wears contacts or eyeglasses or just needs help with an eye emergency. They also have the best selection on frames hands down. Very current and a wide variety for all budgets. I cant recommend them enough!

I fully trust Family Eyecare Associates with me and my families vision. I know that keeping our vision at best is their #1 priority. They have cutting edge technology that most optometrist offices do not offer so I definitely feel more confident when I go in every 6 months so they can monitor the health of my eyes. Plus everyone that works there is extremely helpful and is so friendly! Their frame selection is very wide so you know that you can choose the perfect frame to fit your face shape even if they don’t have it on their boards they can order it in for you. I am also a contact lens wearer, so when I do order my contacts they arrive within a week.

This whole office is amazing!!! My husband and I have been going to this one for 3 years, and I can say that they have always had the most respectful and fun office staff. We have seen different doctors within the office but I love that I can go to whoever has an appointment available when I need it. My husband is a truck driver so he can only come in on the weekends, so having Saturday appointments are awesome! Thank you all so very much for what you do!!

This is an amazing office. I am new to this practice and am so very impressed with the entire experience. I have been to see the doctor twice for scary eye issues and each time everyone was professional, friendly and helpful. Everything was explained to me so that I could actually understand what was going on. I recently moved here from California and saw a doctor whos office treated their patients similar to cattle...very efficient I guess but made you not want to go back. Family Eyecare office is completely the opposite and I look forward to having them care for my vision needs for years to come.

Established patient for several years. Could not get an appointment in Sparks for over 3 months. They absolutely do not need patients. Could travel to Mt. Rose location and get an appointment in 2 months. My husband was in an explosion. Glasses saved his eyes but terribly damaged. Can’t wait 3 months. Scheduler was advised of situation.

My dog ate my glasses and they were unusable with scratches and bent frame. I needed some pretty quick so I could drive. It has been a few years since I had my eyes checked or had new glasses. I was able to get an appointment for an eye exam right away so I went right in. The people I had contact with were very nice and professional. I selected a pair of frames, paid for them and assumed (the ass of you and me) that they would be finished in a day or two. This is day six and still no glasses. If you need glasses right away, this is not the place to get them.

My daughter absolutely loved her first exam with Dr. Becky Humphreys. She was kind, caring and thorough. We will definitely utilize her services again in the future!

Ive been going here for most of my life. This last time the staff was not very kind or helpful. First they got my order wrong on my contacts, and then They did not call to let me know my contacts were ready, but for one bad experience over all these years I cant complain too much. Dr. Cooper is wonderful and super helpful! The office is is clean, classy and makes for a very nice visit. All in all I really like this place.

I have been going to Family Eyecare Associates for glasses, contacts and annual eye checkups for almost ten years. This is the first year that I unfortunately had a bad experience.I was told an incorrect date to receive my glasses (it was several days later and I had to contact them), when they did call they had conflicting information from my previous visit (they wanted me to schedule an appointment and glasses appointments are only a few days and at inconvenient times) then they changed their hours without telling me (I had spoken to a receptionist the day before and she said they closed at one time but I then discovered they were closing much earlier and I was forced to leave work early in order to get my glasses.)It boiled down to communication and when I tried to voice these concerns the receptionist was flustered and tried to pawn me off on someone else. The ten years I have gone there shows that they were good. Based on this experience I may be forced to look for an alternate eye doctor.

The Doctors are fine. Its the young rude and condescending girls you have to interact with to schedule appointments etc. are a nuisance.
