Technicians revised to do work on outside of the truck with no contact with driver because they said the the truck was infected. Truck needed battery work which is required no personal contact. Truck will not start and no battery puts occupant at risk. No risk to workers. Unbelievable.

Good amenities. Lots of showers, barber, chiro, nice lounge, beer, open restaurant.The low rating is because the whole facility is a smoke-pit from the casino. Anyone with a respiratory ailment may find the whole building a no-go zone. The lounge is smoke-free, but not really as its right over the casino.The restaurant got 2 out of 3 meals wrong even after I told them I have food allergies.The wifi is 2G at best and spotty.

Dont even bother with the truck wash. Opens at 8 am, I walked in at 815 to have my truck and frame washed and waxed, engine cleaned, and extra brightener done. Couldnt find anyone, found one hiding in the break room, and he said that they would open in a few minutes, this is at 815 and they open at 8 am. Did even get up out of his seat, went back to my truck, waited 10 more minutes, never opened, so I left.Believe the reviews posted anywhere about this truck wash. Better to go 20 minutes up the 80 to the Blue Beacon.

Service was poor people rude. The only good place there is the restaurant and the other drivers. As for a truckstop they do not care for the drivers. Very poor service.

We just stopped here to get some fuel couldnt figure out why this guys has chains on his truck/trailer and its barely snowing, He said he was going west on I-80 and he was going to park on the interstate and wait for it to open back up, the interstates closed 20 miles up the road at the nevada-california line. He also said somebody backed into him, but the whole right side of his truck is all wreck to, not sure kind of looks like the side of the road backed up on him.

Mechanic shop changed out u joints in a reasonable/fair amount of time.

Lots of drifters in the parking lot, and there are signs every 5 feet inside in case you forgot your slave muzzle. At least the bathrooms were clean. Yes nothing says health like putting on something impeding your breathing in a smoke filled truckstop. Leftist logic.

Amazing experience. I go to many Petro/TAs and this one was the best. Tom in the shop had me up and running in no time. The service was outstanding. The store was clean, the people were friendly, the restaurant food was great. I even won 25 bucks in the casino. I cant say enough because out on the road, this is the closet to home you can get. Thanks, to everyone for keeping us rolling.

The employees are great here, but this place is not managed very well, the whole entire place, including the motel. This is coming from a local truck driver who in the past was in every aspect of the F&B and the casino part of that industry for many years, including management and also construction. There seems to be noone watching over the entire operations of this facility and if there is, he or she just takes it for granted that everything is up to par, but sadly, it is not, too bad! But overall, not a bad place, just needs some oversite here and there, really needs it!

I guess I came to this place on the wrong night. When the line is to the door to pay for goods at 10:45pm isnt the manager supposed to make a decision to get more than one register open. Poor decision on their part

Theres a ton of parking spots for commercial drivers, which is definitely a good thing! The bad thing is, if you arent a smoker and dislike the smell of cigarette smoke, once you open the doors to the main entrance, the odor of cigarette smoke will almost literally smack you in the face! Id almost compare it to a room full of people chain smoking for 24 hours non-stop, just a thick ridiculous amount of smoke. If youre expecting customer service from here, Dont! Customer service here is the equivalent of McDonalds, except with people in their 40s and 50s at the register.

Great employees the hair salon owner does excellent haircuts my A line was so beautiful when she cut it and Ill never go to anyone now but her. You are able to keep your 6 social distance easily and they keep a safe helpful business its comfortable to take a break and refuel you and your vehicles.

Great place to take a quick shower! Showers were cleaned once one is done using one. The guy that help us on 07/31/20 was Cody! Great guy, very friendly and will answer questions you ask him! I’ll definitely be coming back next time I pass through Reno. Also it’s an 1hr drive from Lake Tahoe

I stop here all the time. Usually everything is very pleasant, but not today. The cashier who helped me today was in such a hurry to get back to leaning against the counter and play with her cellphone after she helped the dude in front of me that she didnt see I put items on the counter to purchase. I actually had to ask her if I can buy my coffee and smokes. I gave 3/5 stars because everyone else Ive had contact with are very professional and polite.

Food was very good, showers, laundry, gambling. I hate that you can smoke in the building. Thats gross. Whats the point of doing laundry, and taking a shower to smell like an ash tray.

If youre going to take your truck for an oil change be careful. I could have lost my entire business today because of poor service quality

Customer service was awesome. Buffet is at the top of the list for what Petro has to offer. Bathroom clean and stocked. Plenty of parking for a skilled driver others need to get there earlier. Fuel islands clean and easy access to the scale. Buffet and store prices were the same as any other Petro. Worth the stop.

Nice truck stop 😞 but not very clean bathrooms are disgusting had to use a shower point for a clean toilet, cigarette butts at swing set nasty, drive side entrance walk way needs to be pressure wash . Make me wonder is the kitchen clean in the restaurant ? Management needs to address this cause who wants go somewhere dirty ?

Worst place to sleep in your car. The smells are non-stop. It kept me up all night. Befitting of my horrible situation. This just added to my frustration. No money, no gas, stuck in a disgusting stench that made me feel like I got Covid. Its bad! Get gas and go. Plus its 80° outside, so you cant leave your window up. Forced to smell it all night.

I love how Nevada is one of the few places that still lets people smoke indoors. This place is great; theyll comp you free booze if youre sitting at the bar playing video poker. Ive probably spent more on free booze than I would have if Id just paid for the drinks without gambling. Haha. The bartenders are all friendly, Id definitely recommend stopping.

Compared to the TA here in Reno, I prefer to come to the Petro, the entrance is easy to find, the rows are spaced nicely, an the exit is really easy to get out of. For the inside, the restaurant is very nicely done, there is still the drivers counter(unlike the Petro in Las Vegas) this theme is the cowboy/country/western. The fake wood floor is nice touch throughout, each section of the facility is nicely divided, so you can tell your changing from one area to another. I love this place!

Parking is decent and food is good. The casino part is nice, but the best part is that blackjack tables, the dealers are fun and its really relaxing to sit play. I never come out ahead, but sometimes I break even, which is good. But the dealers make it a nice way to pass the time and get out of the truck for a while.

Date here over the weekend when in Daily to look at Buffet each time look like it was sitting for hours dried out just not edible at all ask one server when they were going to refresh it and was told they were trying to get it Eaton before they changed it. The next thing he started getting clean pans and pouring the old food into the clean pan and putting it back on the buffet changing the spoons as well the meat was dry and crusty.I order food from the menu which was really good and prepared and I received it prompt and very hot. The waitress seemed to be in her own space and time. And only came and asked if everything was okay once while I was eating. Had to get her attention each time I needed to get a refill. They need better management in the kitchen area to take care of that Buffet.The security in the parking is not worth having on the premises. I had marker lights stolen from my trailer and it didnt seem to matter to him at all. Each time I seen him he was always talking to the staff behind the counter at the registers are to the waitresses in the kitchen. Someone needs to look into his needs or find him a new job. The one hes got hes not doing to the ability it needs to be done. Overall this place only receives a two star rating period.

Becareful when buying bottle beverages here. They dont care if their products has been tampered with. I bought a bottle of Sprite and notice it didnt taste like sprite. It tasted like water. I also notice the cap easily came off with the seal. I let the employee Cody who sold me the soda know. He wont listen to me he keeps telling thats how it is sometimes. Had to buy me another soda because I really needed something to sweet to drink. He refuses to let me get another one for free. I hope management notice this review and will fix the issue. Theres a covid pandemic going on and things like this needs to be taken seriously. If I get Coronavirus from that tampered drink I purchase ill definitely sue

Very bad service…no respect to drivers…

We have a diesel motor home and it is easy in and out of the truck lanes. The prices are good if you have a TSD discount card so this is the place for us.

No Verizon internet service, parking lot too tight...very dangerous for your front end, wash bay is a joke... convenient store very limited, coffee lady seemingly irritated with certain people....never fueling or shopping here again.

I have to say this is one of the Petro better locations. The showers were clean I got right in the staff is always helpful. The restaurant is definitely better than the average iron skillet not saying theres anything wrong with them but this one is just very good. The parking lot is very clean quiet and it just seems like everybodys in a good mood thats there and maybe because of the location. Good job youre on the staff and management. Five stars are reserved for an elite group that I dont think Ive met yet so good job you guys you doing it right youre an asset to the transportation industry

Good food and great folks

We stopped her for some quick drinks today. The service was nice and the bathrooms were very clean. The casino was dark and smelled like cigarettes. I did not have the Buffett but it looked and smelled really good. The lower rating is because our poor cashier was being harassed by a truck driver over $300 in fuel. She was awesome but she called for a manager and no one came. The other person that should have helped just up and disappeared. Poor girl! The line was long while this truck driver tried to get her take his check even after she tried it declined. He was really mean to her.

I went in & ordered two hamburgers with fries. When it was read back to me, she said with cheese & I corrected her. I get back to my vehicle & look I the sack, cheese on both. I take them back & was told theyd redo the order. They took the orders to the back & did a poor job scraping the cheese off of what they had already prepared! This will be the last visit to this restaurant.

Coffee is always fresh and they have a wide selection of road munchies. There is a Super 8 motel on site, definitely not the best motel in town but a warm place to sleep off a blizzard on Donner Pass. The fuel prices could be lower of course.Overall a good place to stop when traveling .

What kind of 24 hour truck stop doesnt have coffee going 24 hours. Great place to stop if youre the 9-5 trucker type I guess

Customer service is above and beyond. Loved our waitress Rochelle and the chef on duty Daryl came out to make sure our meal was great!Suggestion would be-- there are a lot of truck drivers that bring their dogs on the road and I havent seen any truck stops that are pet friendly as in...a fenced in grassy area with an attendant. Drivers could pay a small fee, sign there dog in and let it get some exercise while they eat/shower. Would be a great idea!!

Went to the restaurant and let me tell you, our new go to spot for a bite to eat. They have both a buffet and a little cafe with breakfast lunch and dinner. Amazing service just tops off a great experience.

Remember the Alamo? Wait, thats in San Antonio, this is a truck stop in Sparks, NV. Decent food, plenty of parking and casino games. Gas for your car and a convenience store. For travelers coming through for the first time, its a little hard to find but they have a huge sign thats visible for miles.

Buffet is good food...a little expensive, could be 3bucks cheaper and still maintain the quality. You wont be bored doing your reset here. Casino and motel is on the premises. Motel got pool and Reno has a lot you can get into. Thanks

Food was good, service was also. If not for the trucks in the parking lot you wouldnt guess its a truck stop with all the services a driver could ask for. Whole place seems clean and new.The first time we came because they sent a coupon. Weve been back for the food.

Everything is nice. The only GIANT problem for me is I dont smoke & I hate that I just take a shower & come out smelling like an ash tray. If you smoke its not bad but if you dont its bad. They need to invest in better filters or something. To bad otherwise it would have been 5 star.

Prime rib was barely warm, potatoes were hard and dry, chicken was also dry. Didnt want to go for the lasagna. My kid wouldnt even eat the hot/warm dishes. Not worth $30 for 2. Typical Petro buffet just different location. Save $ and order Dominos.

They can’t even wash towels here to keep up with the guests. I paid $15 for a shower but I have to wait 45min for a towel? The problem is that the smoking patio is next to the washer and dryer. So I guess these sacred cigarette breaks are more important than the customer.

Great truck stop thats not too busy for comfort. Clean bathrooms. Has laundry facilities, showers, beauty shop, restaurant with a super buffet and really nice convenient store options. Friendly service all around. Will stop again.

Food is pretty good, but starting to go downhill. Restrooms are clean, but have a terrible smell that never really goes away. Casino is nice. Bar is clean and everyone is friendly. Overall its a nice place with lots of truck parking.

Restaurant is good, but they allow smoking in the casino and it is so heavy throughout their building that is burns you wyea and sinuses.

I had gastric bypass last year so I share my husbands food. They charged us $10.00 for a full meal because I ate some of his soup and salad and then embarrassed me about it and demanded my medical card to prove I had had surgery. We wont be eating here again.

Love to do my 34 hour restart here. Close to airport(5 mi) where i can rent a car for $45/day. Lots of parking. Shower 8 is designed for short ones. Don’t take it if you’re taller than 4’05”

This is one of the nicest places we have been at. Clean, friendly staff, and great food off the menu. Stopped at the TA first, nasty, took out the restaurant and smelled. Left came east 2 miles to Petro. Glad we did, overall great experience. Great place if you have to do a restart.

The guy behind the counter at the fuel island is a hoot. Tells it like it is and has a great personality.

Better than average cleanliness if you smoke. If you dont smoke then the ENTIRE BUILDING smells like a 50 year old ashtray.Sadly this the way at every truck stop in Nevada. This location is no different.

Was able to order food online but I had to google map Iron skillet. The shop was backed up past 12 hour for me to get a tire change.

Plenty of showers and toilets, good food, plenty of parking. They need to move the cashier line faster by having a person man a register when there is more than 3 people in line. Other than that it is clean and attitudes are pleasant
