I went in looking for a washer/dryer set. Phil and the rest of the Sears team were very helpful, transparent, and knowledgable. They were able to get the units installed in under 30 minutes! Great service!

Ordered a new 20.0 ft freezer from the store in Spearfish. Ran it for a couple of days then packed it with a half of beef and 30 chickens we had just butchered. Twelve days after purchase the freezer quite working, losing over $2000 worth of meat. Called the store and clerk said she could not help me and said call the 800 number and hung up on me. Offered no help from a manager or owner and could care less about my loss. Terrible customer service. Dont buy from this store and expect post sale help.OK...BUYER BEWARE. Now you have to hear the rest of the story. Stopped by the store to speak with manager and/or owner. Same gal met me at the counter and asked if she could help. I recognized her voice and said I had already spoken with her earlier in the day about a freezer issue and she was unable to help and I asked for a manager and/or owner. There was a man standing at the end of the counter so I asked to speak with him and she asks me why...because I am a female. I said no because you already hang up on me and was no help. So I thought ok...give it another shot. She then proceeded to take off just were she left me hanging this morning, so I again asked to speak with the manager/owner and the guy standing there listening to the whole conversation finally speaks up and says, I am the manager and I think you need to leave...what the hell. He sat there listening to her the whole time and never said a damn word. He never stepped in to discuss the situation or help resolve the issue. Not once. Just asked me to leave the store. Only thing I can figure is he is the husband and definitely does not wear the pants in that relationship or call the shots as a manager/owner.This is my very first review and a very tolerant customer but this was more than even I can handle.
People that worked there were so very helpful! Even when they are treated badly. I was present when another customers appliance broke and he came into the store and demanded a manager. they tried to help but he was very upset due to the loss of food. They tried to help and offer solutions to find out what could be happening with his freezer. Everything is so difficult to get due to factories not working at full affect yet due to covid. unfortunately freezers are on that list. I know because I’ve looked all over for one. so they couldn’t offer a replacement but tried to at least get a service Tec for him ASAP. He might not see it that way and continued to be upset but thanks spearfish sears for trying in this difficult time! It’s never good when a new appliance breaks but to take it out on the store associates is not fair either. I feel they went over and beyond for him even though he continued to be rude.
Needed a product on a Sunday afternoon. OPEN until 4:00 P.M. according to website. Didnt want to waste nearly an hour driving time and fuel so called ahead at just before 2:00 P.M. No answer! Tried several times and never got an answer. Left a message on the voicemail.Ordered the product online, hoping that their 1 item left inventory count was correct. Drove to the store shortly after the 9:A.M.OPEN time Monday morning. Not open! Small slightly larger than a recipe card note in the door Temporary Hours did not open until 10:00 A.M.. Had to keep a previous appointment at 10:00 A.M. in my hometown so couldnt wait. Had to make another round trip from out of town that afternoon!NEVER received any online receipt, NEVER received any email notification of the item being ready for pickup, and when I did get back to pick it up the manager could not even lower himself to say Hello or Kiss my a--, or anything! Just gave me the product I bought and a curt, You will have to fill it with oil.As of 1:55 P.M. there has been NO CONTACT from the Spearfish store. The District Manager Ms. Lisa Lizotte has not responded to email contact either, even after her canned request to contact her about my honest negative review.Worst experience I have ever had at this property! It has been steadily going downhill for the last year or so.Please, go elsewhere to make your purchases if at all possible, and let this guy go out of business!Why anyone would continue to do business locally with business owners like these is beyond me.
All the employees at Sears Hometown Store in Spearfish are amazing!!! Their customer service is outstanding. They took the time at the store to answer questions in detail, are knowledgeable and so accommodating.When Steph and Phil delivered a washing machine they took their time to install it making sure everything was done correctly, were careful not to damage anything in the house, explained in detail how to operate the machine and left the house clean and in order. I was so impressed and will definitely be buying any future purchases at this store.Thank you to all the staff at Hometown Sears in Spearfish.Maralea Schatz
If I could give them six stars I would. These folk know the meaning of customer service that seems to be lost in the appliance business. Locally owned and operated they have gotten back to what Sears was always good at. Quality appliances and top notch service. We will be telling everyone we know to shop there.

Truckers beware!!!!! Do not ever deliver here! Most unprofessional so called business i have ever seen! Frumpy lady is the first thing you see when you walk in. The so called employee that they have unload your truck stops half way through to go pick up another employee. First of all i would like to know what kind of business hires people who cant arrive for work and second i would like to know what self respecting business pulls their employee away from unloading a TRUCK to go pick up another employee! How pathetic! Place is a complete joke, must be why there isnt a single customer and also why they have no clue how to run a REAL business, wont ever come back hope the place goes out of business and from what i see they are doing a great job of helping that happen. Also whatever pathetic person owns this joke of a busines,s make sure you salt your sidewalk and driveway better, i fell, im sure others will too and you wouldnt want someone to sue your obvious suffering business for what small amount you have made, doesnt surprise me that the driveway and sidewalk arent properly maintained in the winter though, im sure these people cant even afford salt!And to all you naive potential customers, ORDER ONLINE!! Easy and convenient.
