We stopped in one Sunday morning, on our way to Spearfish Canyon. It was a well stocked quilt/ craft store. I found so many beautiful panels that I havent seen anywhere else. Very friendly and helpful.

I got back to Spearfish 5 minutes to 6, and they stayed open for me to shop as quickly as I could to buy some crafts for a lot minute project 🙃Im so HAPPY they were so fantastic to help me! Thank you so very much ❤. You made my day/week that you kind and compassionate

For a small store there is an abundance of art and craft supplies which is lovely! However, its a little overwhelming to try to find something.. almost like an iSpy book. Every time I go in there Im never greeted.. its an awkward silence like walking into a library. I called in the other week to ask if they had fabric paint or dye and the lady said no. I asked if there was something else she would recommend for my project and all I got was I dont know, I havent ever dyed anything before. Hmm.. yeah, very helpful.

This store has supplies for almost any craft you could think of...jewelry making, sewing, painting, drawing, knitting, crocheting, wood working, embroidery, and scrapbooking. Im a huge scrapbooker and I have to say that I was fairly disappointed with the scrapbooking selection. There were papers for the local schools which was nice but I was looking for more local tourist supplies for Mount Rushmore and other places but there wasnt much to choose from. Most of the scrapbooking supplies were very old stickers. There were some nice diecuts to choose from.

A good place to buy quilt supplies

Ive shown support for the Knot Hole for over 6 years and recommend to anyone I know that crafts. It is getting hard to compete with yarn skeins and fabric though, walmart is $1.99-7.99 and here its $7.99-15.99 for the same color and brand skein and patterns . Went in for some colors Wal-Mart doesnt have and got a nice 20% off (Black Friday). Ive shopped in person, ordered items in store through their catalog but never seem to be remembered. I do try to open conversation, talk about family or open doors for discussion but dont get much in return which does make me sad. My favorite part of shopping small stores since I would go with my mom fabric shopping is to create and sustain relationships.

Really neat little store

It was an interesting place with a unique selection of arts and crafts supplies. There is one aisle of art(painting and drawing supplies) supplies. It is mainly a store for textile and jewelry making equipment. The reason for my low rating of said store is that the supplies is overpriced. This issue was so obvious that when I looked at the prices of things there would be two price tags. One of the tags would be the normal sale price and the other, the one corresponding to Knot Hole would have a mark-up. There also was the issue of finding the prices on certain things such as paint brushes, pens, and paint. The place was also cluttered and slightly unorganized.

Wonderful place to find anything for a hobby. They have practically every thing that you need & possibly more to find a new hobby. I keep going back. Love the place!!

Nice craft store

Wow large selection of about anything you want crafting. Prices are a little on notions and other. I was impressed by the beads, novelty buttons, fabric, scrapbook supplies and paper. There seemed to be just about anything you need for sewing, quilting and crafting, and more.

Wow, for a tiny store they have just about everything you need. Somethings are priced higher then other places. They dont have coupons or sales that I know about but they for sure might have what you need. The owner manager was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He help me find the perfect gift for a friend that I didnt h ok in to buy. Check this place out for all of your crafting needs, beading, sewing, arts, crafts, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, and on and on. I think they might even offer instructional classes now and then. For sure one of Spearfishs hidden gems.

This is the best store for all those specialty small craft items. Their selection is amazing and prices are very reasonable for its small size- sometimes better than Walmart.
