This was my first time purchasing a bobcat and Joe at Spearfish Equipment was very helpful. He is knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and helped me look through their inventory. I never felt pressured to make a purchase and they treated me very fairly. I bought a used bobcat, so there is some risk there not knowing how well the machine was treated or maintained in the past. Joe showed me around the mechanics area and told me about the quality checks they perform on their used equipment along with the fixes they typically have to make on their used inventory when they come into the shop. I would recommend checking with Joe if youre in the market for machinery and I will be returning in the future.

They met me at the state line on a Saturday, signed documents, and I was headed back the other way within the hour. Very helpful and a good buying experience.

Bought a landscape rake for the little tractor. nice people inside. Would definitely come back if I was to be in the market for something.

Bought a used machine from them with only 1490 hrs on it. They bragged up and down how in depth there inspections are on there used equipment. Now, we are on the other side of the state so we took there word on it, our mistake. When you buy used you don’t expect it to be perfect but it had been repainted and new decals put on which they never mentioned. Air conditioning was supposed to work doesn’t, front crank shaft seal is out, water pump is out, radiator was completely plugged, hole in radiator, had to replace fuel lines, replaced belt tensioner. Rebuilt right side bucket tilt cylinder. Final bill, $3,225. I think I would fire the inspection team. Called them and they basically said, that’s your tough luck.
