This is a small store for the chain, but it had almost everything we needed. Produce is nicely displayed and everything was crunchy and delicious. Other items were easy to find and there were no empty shelves. Their cut flowers were priced reasonably and exceptionally pretty. They also had a dollar rose special that would be decorated by their florist and then donated to a nursing home.

The bagging associate did A FANTASTIC job!! I was definitely very happy when I got home. The checker was friendly and pleasant...I gave four stars because she didnt give me my (2-cent) fuel saver from apples. Not a big deal.

Its a good store and they sometimes help you But they have a pharmacy too and Drive Up is awesome.

This place seems to have a great selection of products compared to other grocery stores. Its a bit more expensive than, lets say, Wal Mart but I cant stand going there so I can definitely appreciate a place like this. Always get help from staff when needed and get checked right away. They also have a HUGE selection of booze to choose from which is priceless when you live in a world like today. 🤨😆

Each store manager has his or her own way of doing things

The rest of the store was great, but I was at the Deli counter wanting to order some salads and no one waited on me. There were 2 employees just a few feet behind the counter, chatting, but they ignored me.

Even though its in a small town, they have great selections for practically everything. Staff are friendly and they continue to be a contributing member of the community.

I’ve been here a lot and never had an issue and usually am asked about my head tattoos or a friendly comment is made. But the female checker today was extremely unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. She held up the line gossiping with an older gentleman about church matters. Which as your place of work is in my opinion unacceptable. Then stared at me and my tattoos for an extended period of time before asking in a condescending tone “so, what’s that shirt about” a “God’s Hate” band tee shirt. It’s none of your business what my shirt is about and I don’t come grocery shopping to have my life decisions assessed or explain myself to an employee.

I new to area and really like this Hy-Vee. The bakery is great. Order two cakes and both where good. Timely and straw berry and cream cheese frosting amazing!!

This is a good Hy-Vee for the most part the people are friendly and they stay pretty well stocked on everything and theres a liquor store right inside. I would recommend it if youre in Spencer or live there.

Went into Hy Vee in Spencer to get rolls and coffee pods. Came out with cinnamon rolls with cream cheese to for. They had a huge selection of coffee pods and was able to select something we hadnt had before.

Over all ok. Most everyone was wearing masks properly. They were out of sushi and the young women at the Starbucks were more concerned with each other than making sure the customers had a good experience. The latte was prepared as requested tho.

Loved it found everything I needed

Curbside service is nice but not that reliable. dont share get the right stuff or everything. sometimes some of the order left inside store and instead of delivering it they just say come back and get it if you want it.

Someone always ready to help you find what you need. I use aisles online and have friend pickup; bring your order out promptly. Floral department the best, arrangements always beautiful and last quite a long time..have sent many arrangements and always arrange to what theme I request.

I eat here frequently, I had breakfast, scrambled eggs, link sausage and hashbrowns. It is a #3 combo comes with toast too. I think it is 6.99 without a drink. Spencer hy-vee is one of my preferred places for breakfast.

The hot food is very delicious. There is such a large selection to pick from. My favorite is the fried chicken dinner or getting the Managers Special from the Chinese section.The eating area is clean, quiet and well lit.

Since when did the salad bar add up to going out. 3 of us in party. $30 for three and 2 drinks. The salad bar had a very good selection. Fruit section was a little old. But very good choices. I think next time Ill goto a restaurant for those prices.

This store is always excellent with service. Just wanted to say thank you for making our Thanksgiving great this year. First time we stayed home and didnt travel for Thanksgiving and had our kids home. We had HyVee do one of their Thanksgiving meal boxes with Turkey, Stuffing, Potatos, Green Bean Casserole, and Pumpkin Pie. It was all very tasty and cooked perfect where we only had to put things in the oven for 30 minutes. Its a great service. Thanks again!

People here are nice and helpful. Just ask someone for help and they will go out of their way to try and find what your looking for. I had a guy ask if he wanted us to go in the back of the store to see if they had the type of crab meat we wanted back there. We said no it was fine and thank you.

Of all the HyVees in the area, this is my favorite! I can always find exactly what Im looking for! Staff is great and helpful! The meat counter doesnt smell like dried blood, the deli staff smiles, and the checkers are always friendly!

Really loved their Asian food options at their inhouse restaurant. until the last couple years. Something is terribly wrong and different. I just wish they would change back to whatever was being done when the Lovans were there.Otherwise they have decent options for food, a but speedier but such a huge selection!Of course there whole Starbucks things isnt my favorite, but my rating here totally ignores that element. 🙂

I Thoroughly enjoy this Hy-Vee. Always helpful staff and the kitchen is always cooking up something tasty. The Chinese buffet is delicious as well. They also always have some sort of great deal going on. They are also the only place in town that has butter braided pretzels, So thats a couple bonus points.

For such a large store you would expect better service. However, lackluster is the best you get. Stick with Fareway if you want to be in a place that cares about the customer.

The folks here are so helpful and so kind. I was trying to head to the Bathroom and I had a wonderful employee super concerned if there was a place to change my daughters diaper. It is always a great experience here and the health food, and organic options is one of the reasons we travel a great distance just to come here!
