I have been watching their internet prices for 2 weeks on a few pieces of metal. So I drove 170 miles to their office to buy itWhen I got there the price was 30 to 40 % higher than they advertised on the internet. Wont be buying there anymore if they advertise 1 price and sell it at a higher price.

My first experience with this company was phenomenal. I felt valued and appreciated. The gentlemen at the front desk went above and beyond to meet my expectations. However the second time was the worst experience Ive had with any company period. I needed some small parts fabricated and some roll pins removed for a project i have. I was told i would get a quote from someone later in the week. Fast forward one month later, I had to call them and they said that only 1 part left needed to be finished to their liking before they released it to me and the bill would be almost 300 dollars. I asked if that was everything out the door and i was told yes and to come back the next week to pick up the remaining part. Now i understand that machining is expensive work but i was frustrated at not being quoted a price before they began to work. The following week i arrived to find that my parts were complete but with another invoice of over 100 dollars. This is terrible business practice and I was outraged, I explained the situation but was told to just go somewhere else.Without a doubt they do quality work that cannot and will not be disputed however the communication they have with customers needs to be improved. I would have had no quarrel at all if i was kept in the loop, told the prices/quotes and agreed to said price before the work was done. Instead I was forced to pay the invoice to receive the parts I needed.

Our company used to deal with Alcobra over 20 yrs ago. When I needed some stainless steel material recently it was a real pleasure working with these guys again. They have a lot of inventory and not just for the big guys.

Ive been looking all over for telescoping aluminium square tube. I finally found Alcobra, I had some questions so I gave them a call. I got ahold of Lucas Beechinor, he was tremendous to deal with, he answered all my questions. Great place if you need small amounts of metal for household projects. (Im sure they are great for big jobs too, I just havent used them for that.) Counter staff were great at helping me get exactly what I needed. On multiple visits I was treated well despite my orders being relatively small. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Sent wrong material certs. When asked for correct documentation they were sending certs from what ever had the right QQ-A- ... callout. No traceability and the cert I got was Aluminum melted and mfgd in Russia. Not Government defense work worthy !! use caution

Quite a wide variety of metals, but so were the mood swings of the owner. I had to quit working there after 5 months due to the way he talked to his crew. Nice people to work with, hard guy to work for.
