The donuts are great. The maple bar is my favorite in Spokane so far. I stopped this morning and got an iced caramel mocha and a white chocolate Cold brew with cream along with 2 breakfast burritos. The food was hot and fresh, my cold brew was missing the white chocolate so I just added sugar at home. My total was 27 dollars and some change which I thought was quite steep.
Ive been wanting to try this crossaint donut everyone was raving about for years. Well I was able to finally try it and although this location sold out Sunday morning by 10am, they gave me a coupon for a free donut. The next morning I called and they held 2bof them for me while I made my way to drive there again so I could try my desired donut :) they had great customer service and a wonderful staff.
Unfortunately, this place cant do large deliveries. I was willing to throw in a large delivery bonus, but no.. Their competition said yes. $700. In doughnuts, Plus over $100. Delivery tip.Sorry.
So I’ve never been there so I gave you three stars but just watched a van with your logos all over it chuck a cigarette out the window on highway 2. Not the best look for your business and if you’re using it for delivery’s I would question its cleanliness.
Honestly the donuts were okay. Nothing really extraordinary or that you cant find anywhere else. It was just a few selections of basically the same thing: chocolate glaze with some sort of topping. The people were friendly but there is so much more they could do to stand out from the many other donut shops here. And the salted caramel was basically just caramel with a tiny hint of salt every other bite. Prices were decent though.
Super cute shop. The layout is small but done well and seating is spacious. Their donut selection seams a little limited. That said I think its because they focus on quality and not quantity. Service was very good and warm. Our conversation was very natural and not forced/fake. Definitely will be coming back.
Definitely worth checking out! I went with a group of friends and we all LOVED our donuts! I got the maple bacon bar and my friends got the butterfinger donut, bavarian cream bar, and the animal cookie donut. We were visiting from Seattle so we were delighted with the Spokane prices! :-)There were many different flavors and it was hard to make a choice! I highly recommend this place if you are in the area!
They do have real donuts!!! They are so good and fresh!!! The guy at the counter is so nice too. My son would normally just eat the toppings of any donut, but at Casual Friday today he ate most of his donut. These donuts are way bigger than what we get from grocery stores. The place is so nice, especially in the morning.
The girl who took my order was so kind :) rly yummy donuts and cider
I visited this shop 4 times to buy vegan donut. One time it was fresh and was too good and the chocolate dip was the best in town. Hence giving 2 starsThe rest of the 3 times it was either:a) Stale and Burnt, dark brownish donuts and barsb) Dough was half baked and oil smelled weird, lump of dough with no flavour or textureCustomer reps were talking too much to justify its freshness. No offense meant on customer service rep, as they were trying to sell all leftover donuts. Its way too pricey for a stale donuts or chocolate bar so far.I have preserved the last purchased stale donut, just so that I do not get tempted to visit this shop again when I get cravings for donuts.
OMG! HUGE doughnuts. Very tasty, costs more than your typical donuts but very much worth it. I bought a dozen donuts and was given 2 extra. Only bummer was the 2 glazed donuts that I ordered was forgotten. I would definitely return in future
Bro, What’s up with Casual Friday lately?! New owners or new employees?? I’ve been their biggest hype girl forever but the last few visits have been TERRIBLE - the donuts smelled and tasted weird (bad oil?) and the iced coffee was a legit joke, warm and watery with one ice cube (wish I was kidding I took a snap video, it was pretty unbelievable). RIP.
Casual Friday was delicious! Bacon glazed was my favorite. My husband enjoyed the vegan one (and he is not vegan). Unfortunately when we went, it was like 5 minutes before closing time so we didnt get any cream filled ones (seems everyone loves those hahaha). Oh! They also serve coffee. :) Staff was awesome and polite, adhered to safety protocols and place was clean. Price was not overboard either. I will need to update with photos another time. Thanks Casual Friday Donuts!
Wife and I went for the first time and it was freaking awesome! The consistency of the donuts is perfect and the variety of fun flavors made the experience that much cooler! Devin helped us out and was patient while we tried to decide; he even recommended his favorite, the salted caramel donut, and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest! The donuts are huge and tasty and all for a fair price. My only nitpick is that they charge between $0.50 and $0.70 for a cup of water? Call me old fashioned (no pun intended) but it’s frustrating when you’ve already paid and need a glass of water and realize you’re going to have to charge $0.70 to your card for the essence of life. Haha so minus the greedy water prices, the experience was incredible!
I have sampled doughnuts all across Colorado, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California. Casual Fridays doughnuts are some of the best. I prefer doughnuts that are a little more chewy and dense (not cake doughnut dense, more like sourdough dense and chewy) Their MOAD -mother of all doughnuts is the most delicious cross between a doughnut and croissant. Its sooooo good. Their Homers (typical round doughnuts) are fantastic and are so much better than most chains and grocery store doughnuts that resemble cheaprocessed white bread. Eat these doughnuts and make sure you get there early, especially on the weekend!
I really like these guys, theyre always super friendly and helpful and I like to support a local business, especially one that makes vegan donuts. But honestly they are super hit or miss with the quality of their donuts. Oftentimes theyre really overcooked or theyll just have huge air pockets in them. Probably 60% of the time they are subpar. They have Thomas Hammer coffee though which is really good and they make it well.
Great selection today. Not busy when I was there.
Love the variety and quality of their donuts! Also appreciate that they’re open til 6pm, so much later than most donut shops! You’ve got to try the MOAD donut.
Wow, a real winner! These are gourmet donuts so brace yourself for some sticker shock, but they are so very worth it for the flavors and quality -- plus they are generously sized. I call these hybrid donuts meaning they are halfway between denser cake-type (dunkin) and just-air-and-sugar (krispy kreme) types. Theyve got some fluff but also plenty of substance and the sweetness is strong but not cloying. Good variety of flavors and options -- even several Vegan choices. Theres something for everyone here, but I was especially impressed by the Bavarian Creme and Salted Caramel.Their MOAD (mother of all donuts) flagship donut gets top marks for ambition but I was a little let down -- personally Id rather just eat a croissant and then eat a donut. The whole effort sounds amazing, looks delicious, but is just a bit too much going on when I actually eat it; the croissant kinda got lost in there, which is a shame.Still, one of my top-five donut shops west of the Mississippi (so far). Ill definitely go out of my way to visit again next time Im in Spokane.
Between us we had the Homer, a lemon cake, and a maple bar. All were great, uniquely different. We also had a maple bar a day later, and it still felt and tasted fresh.
ABSOLUTELY, madly in love with Casual Fridays donuts!!! AND... They have a drive through!!! If you like an extra sweet donut, try the Oreo Cookie Donut or for super sweet -> the chocolate with chocolate frosting old fashioned donuts - to die for!!! Their Bavarian filled bars are delicious!! Their Maple bars are wonderful!!! If you like to try different types, check out their Butterfinger donuts! All of their sprinkled donuts melt in your mouth! We have been there many times now and every time we go, no matter whether it is first thing in the morning or late in the day, their donuts are always perfectly moist, fresh, delicious and the biggest donuts I have ever seen!!!My ONLY compliant is that they are not budget friendly by any means and they do not have a donuts by the dozen type of discount. Although, they do have some type of rewards system (we have not quite figured it out yet- probably would help if we asked!!).If you are craving a wonderful donut you cant go wrong by trying Casual Fridays Donuts!!!
Very cute, welcoming, warm felt donut shop! Awesome customer service! Highly recommended!
Love this place, huge donuts.
If youre looking for vegan donuts dont bother. They are always sold out before 11 and the selection isnt even worth waiting ages to get one, if you want good vegan donuts go to Allies Vegan Pizzaria. If youre looking for a good dozen of non vegan donuts go literally anywhere else. Their non vegan donuts are also subpar. Wow disappointing.
I go here often. I enjoy the workers they are really friendly and remember me every time. I enjoy the drive thru and the member benefits. I would recommend it to everyone
Love this place! I visit Casual Friday Donuts every time I drive through North town Spokane.
Delicious donuts, friendly service! Little more on the spendy side for donuts but they’re large and worth it
So delicious donuts 🍩 I like 😍 it especially the blueberry cake and the apple fritter
Best donuts around 😋. Unique variety. Thanks.
I went thur the drive thru after school with my grandchild and asked for a Homer. Devin apologized for the doughnut 🍩being rather small today. Well it was big enough to feed a few. Kudos the casual Friday on Thursday. Couldnt we change the world for the better one doughnut at a time? yes I do believe.
I love that they have vegan options and amazing service, but there is something a little lacking in the non chocolate donuts frosting. It tastes a bit watery, but the donuts themselves are VERY good!
These donuts are amazing. I wanted to try it one time few years ago, and didnt decide on being regular customer but I seem to come back. At least 3 times a year. So I guess I accidentally kinda am regular customer lol! So yes I would come back. =) I normally order for 12 donuts. In a big box. lol
I gave this place a second try after writing a negative review about their awful donuts a year or so ago. Big mistake! The experience was twice as miserable as the first. The donuts have not gotten any better, soaked in grease, old and overpriced. The employee was so into all her motion she neglected to connect it to her brain. She gave me coffee with the lid half on that of course popped off the minute I took a step to spill 200 degree coffee on my hand (wish I could post a picture of my hand) no loss, it was the complete wrong coffee order! Bad product, bad service.
My husband have tried out many different donut places and this is by far the VERY BEST! honestly, nothing compares. Our favorites are the moad and salted caramel.
Greatest donuts in town. It was fun as a niche zombie donut shop, but the switch over was refreshing and much more inviting for a long standing future.
I really enjoyed the donuts I bought today. They were great! Will be coming back for sure.
Save yourself some cash and go to Donuts To Go. Much much better donuts and the prices are great there. Everytime I come and get donuts at Casual Friday they are not cooked correctly. Its always inconsistent. Wish I could give a better review...
First time here and got a dozen assorted. Excellent service and the best donuts I’ve ever had. Get the Samoa!
Terrible customer service. The gal working the counter wasnt wearing a name tag but (for identification purposes) she had waist long straight blonde hair. There was no verbal greeting or smile upon walking in-- if anything she seemed annoyed. As I looked over the doughnut selection and tried to figure out pricing (this was my first time here) she began tapping her nails impatiently on the counter. I rushed through my order and ended up only paying $10 for a dozen. Perhaps this was half off since it was 445pm? Nothing was actually communicated to me. The doughnuts themselves were subpar in the flavor and texture department, in my opinion, with the exception of the maple bar. I did appreciate that there were vegan options, but I did not try them as Im not vegan.I will be looking elsewhere in Spokane for doughnuts.
Vegan donuts are good, but you have to pretty much get there at the crack of dawn to get any (just went in before 10 AM and they were sold out, which summarizes most of my visits). If they made enough donuts to actually make a trip worthwhile for vegans, I could recommend them higher.
Great vegan donuts but literally everytime I call they are out! I called 20 min after they opened and already sold out of the vegan donuts! Really suggest making more of those to last longer clearly they are a high selling point!
Cool place but they run out of donuts too early need to make more to meet customer demands or close earlier
I went here today because Donut Parade was closed and this was the next closest thing. Every time Ive gotten donuts from this place Ive been disappointed. The donuts are expensive for being consistently undercooked. My wife is confident that we got day olds, the frosting was hard and dry and cracking off. The staff isnt friendly, I feel like Im bothering them by going there. I hope they can fix a few of these problems, which seem to be non existent at Lilac City Bakery.
Not a fan of how you have to order at least 6 at a time. There was 3 workers and i waited for 20 min. Just was not all that impressed. Hate how itty bitty tiny these things are!!!
Great donuts! This is our usual Saturday morning breakfast. My wife and I both love the Maple Bacon. Very good service, just wish I didnt have to get there so early to get what I want.
I only ate a piece of a butter finger glazed donut and it was good.
I had heard good things about this place, so I stopped by. Didn’t bother to look at the price for glazed donuts cause they’re plain Jane glazed donuts. Big mistake. Was told the total was $15 (for 6 donuts) and my heart stopped. Yikes! Aside from the price, the donuts were just ok. I wish things were different as I prefer to support local businesses. Service was great and friendly though!!!!
Elissa made us fantastic coffee and directed us to the fantastic food truck in the same parking lot. Keep up the good work!
A decent donut. Presentation and variety were excellent. Fritter was a bit of a ball and lacked the crunch and texture it needed. None of the 4 donuts we tried were bad, they just werent great. Theyve got the look but the recipe is just a little off. Sorry.
Donuts are delicious. They are also huge, which is a bonus.
Dont pay attention to the fraudulent reviews being left by an identity thief, this place is GREAT! Amazing and large donuts with convenient drive through. What more can you ask for !
Great place for some gourmet donuts if you like it fancy!
Amazing service as usual! Fabulous donuts so good you will go nuts
Amazing donuts and kind staff.
We walked here during a snow storm because we didnt have a good reason not to, and we wanted donuts. Worth the walk! Delicious donuts, totally alright coffee, and very friendly service. Well definitely be back.
Donuts were okay. I had a pink and powder donut. The lemon powder donut was great! But definitely there are better places in Spokane. It’s cute tho, but if you go just know theres a really good chance you’ll run into disappointment 🤙🏾🍩🍩
I was extremely impressed with casual Friday! Came in to buy a dozen for work today. They all looked delicious! Although some of their largest donuts are 2.50 or 3.00, many of the cake donuts are only 1.25. everyone at work was very pleased with them. I might even be back for more tomorrow. Plus they have got apple cost. Cant go wrong with that!
My experience every time is excellent. The young man who waits on me is always super friendly and the maple bar delicious 😋
Very disappointed. We used them for our wedding and half the donuts had to be thrown out due to mold. We were told they are baked fresh daily but that didn’t seem to be the case for us. When I called to talk to the manager I was told they were busy and I would get a call back. I never received that call.
For a small iced coffee and hot coffee and one donut it seems like a lot of money.... not to mention my small iced coffee was all milk with caramel and I even asked for another shot inside and they didn’t do it but I paid for it... very disappointed... looks like a nice spot...
The cutest doughnut shop in Spokane! The doughnuts are absolutely amazing and so are the workers.
Great customer service. AMAZING Doughnuts
Ive stopped here before but my fritter was 7 an 1/2 inch thick? Worst fritter ever. And I sat behind 1 car for 10 minutes for itWell rolling and cutting and dry dough doesnt account for that flat. I know how fritters are made. Something looking like that should have been pulled .good thing donut Parade is now open
Very good donuts. Good prices.
The server seemed new, but he was very friendly. And everything was delicious!
Amazing Donut! Hands down the best Apple Fritter I have ever had.
Hands down the best donuts in Spokane! Great creative variety with awesome customer service! After trying other donut places here weve settled on Casual Fridays. BTW the donuts are also massive!
The fritter had raw dough and a bitter aftertaste; the coffee was warm, not hot. Both doughnuts were cold (OK it was 10:00am) but eating in, maybe a hit with a microwave to warm them up would have been nice. 2 stars because the help was friendly.
Donuts are pretty good, Nothing special. They have a great variety, and the donuts are huge, but the prices are pretty high. A dozen goes for about $25. My kids like going because they have crazy donuts with M&Ms and Butterfingers and stuff like that. More of a specialty place than a regular morning breakfast joint.
I love a good donut. My experience this morning does not have me raving though. I used the drive-thru.At this time a cake donut was $1.25, Fritter $2.75. To me that seemed high but thats my opinion. Being a donut shop, I was disappointed that they had no buttermilk anything, nor do they often. And though listed, no blueberry fritters, at only 8:30am(!?) Huh.Was told the apple fritters are great and turned out really good this morning. Ordered one and a blueberry cake donut. And a drip coffee ($2+) to go in my travel mug.So six dollars and change for two donuts and drip coffee.I asked the kind lady for coffee with some cream and sugar if you have it and she handed me my over-full cup back with neither. Asked again and she took it back to add some half n half (good!) and sugar into it. Spilling full now. Unremarkable supermarket tasting coffee. Lots and LOTS of coffee grounds in coffee. The blueberry cake donut was REALLY REALLY GOOD! Fresh, moist but not doughy, perfect. The apple fritter was overdone in my opinion. Dark almost to burnt. Slightly sour taste throughout. Dry and even crispy in places. Large size though. Not one napkin provided.Overall not a winner. But the blueberry cake donut was SO GOOD and since this was my only time there and I realize bad days happen to good people and good places, Im upgrading from the TWO STARS I feel THIS trip warrants, to Three Stars. Especially since I see such varied reviews here.
Great donuts that are very large.
Pretty good donuts. I got the sour cream lemon bar ( basically an apple fritter but with lemon instead) it was a bit too sweet for my taste but if you have a sweet tooth youll love it. They had a large selection of donuts to choose from and they had coffee. The coffee was ok, the employees seemed to have a little bit of a difficult time making it. The store is quite small, do if it is busy youll be packed in. Overall great spot to stop for some donuts!
1st time at CFD.... $13 for 6 donuts...will not go back no matter how delicious ...Too pricey for me..
I feel they are the best tasting donut shop in Spokane. Customer service is good. Some of their donuts are huge! I love it. They have a drive thru also. Open till 6pm, which I love since most close early around 3 p.m.
Service was great, donuts are unique but mediocre.
Great Variety, gourmet donuts, specialty donuts, delicious donuts. Take your pick or get them all. Either way you wont be disappointed. Great local donut shop.
Good doughnuts. But just to clarify on google. They are NOT open till 6:00 pm on Saturdays.
Was excited to try these out as i always enjoy a good donut. Unfortunately they were very unremarkable. They tasted essentially like safeway donuts except they cost $3 a donut and are 25% bigger than the $0.50 donut you get at any grocery store.
Great donuts, service, prices and happy hour!!In town for softball tournament and brought these for the girls. Win-win! Thank you for friendly service.
SMASHING coffee. I got a chocolate old fashioned doughnut. It was good, except it had very sugary frosting, and I like a crispy crunchy old fashioned, but it wasnt very crispy or crunchy. Over all delicious, though. Would recommend!
The donuts are good but on weekends, the demand for vegan donuts is extremely high and they are *always* completely out by 9 or 10 am. When I asked, they said that they always only make a certain amount of vegan ones (I think it was only a dozen??). If you know that the demand is high, why not make more on the weekends?? This is ridiculous and I’ve been let down on multiple occasions simply due to food allergies. Being one of the only donut shops in town to make vegan donuts, they should know better to limit their entire customer base to only a dozen per day.
Waaaaaaaaay to expensive and the quality is simply not worth t he money
They never have donuts past 11am so why bother being open until 1 pm? We’ve tried three weekends in a row and last month, the month before. Please make more donuts. I imagine your staff probably are not telling you they are turning a tremendous amount of customer’s away. I guarantee you’re losing thousands of dollars in income daily on the weekends.
Hands down some of the best donuts in town. There fritters and moads are amazing. They open early which is the best time to check them. Monster size and smaller donuts, eveything tastes great. I never had a dry donut outside of the vegan. Vegan donuts are okay and they can be a little dry but still tasty. Im surprised by some of low reviews. They make a lot different style donuts and flavors that you wont find at any other local store or bakery in town. The few times Ive been here there has always been something new. I feel people can be turned off by prices since donuts are super cheap to begin with but there totally worth it for what they offer.
People complaining about the price makes me laugh. If you cant afford to buy delicacies, just go home. Go get a Big Mac and pay SIX DOLLARS for three pieces of bread and two bottom of the barrel meat patties like you do every other day. Stop complaining about a donut when you splurge on even more ignorant self indulgent items on a daily basis. This place is great, Im in this establishment several times each week and have never been done wrong. And a heads up, if you werent buying cigarettes at $9.27 a pack, maybe you would have a (little) extra money for a damn donut.ALSO - Happy Hour is every day between 5pm-6pm. Everything is half off. So seriously... stop complaining. ;)
Awesome service. The largest donuts Ive ever seen. A little more expensive, but you are getting a ton of donut. And some odd the best in town, too. Highly recommend. Prepare to be wowed. :)
Meh
