Located in downtown and parking sucks like always but if ur walking then perfect. Very modern and very cute on the inside. Where greeted with “do u have mask ladies?” And being from Idaho caught me off guard like what? Masks? What is that? When I got my coffee I swear they flipped me off for taking off my mask as soon as I made an order. Over all they where nice.
Fantastic coffee and friendly workers. I had never been and they suggested a Butterscotch latte with black salt. So good! Definitely recommend it.
Love all of Indaba’s locations, but this may be my fav! Amazing staff, cozy inside, and the curbside/10-min parking out front is perfect for picking up to-go orders or whole beans. Not to mention Indaba being the greatest local roaster in town!
First time here today its such a cute fun coffee shop! Very modern and all the plants had cute little names! Their in house butterscotch flavor was amazing in an iced coffee a little bit on the sweeter side but delicious!
Great little Cafe. The Flat White was my favorite! Good coffee, good vibes. Will be back soon.
Nice stop for rich tasting coffee and tea done perfectly, the barista was receptive to my preferences, and informative on the process to be communicative (perfect drink). Small indoor outdoor spaces. Cute bicycle parking. Side or main street parking.
I showed up just after they closed. Laughed it off as my luck. “PJ” sees me pull on the locked door, comes rushing out and apologizes for closing ON TIME (it’s my fault, not his!) and proceeds to go inside and make a coffee for me and bring it out to me. AND he refused to charge me.Doesn’t get any better than this, folks. And the coffee is amazing. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!
Walked in with no mask, everyone sitting down is not wearing a mask. Employee asks us to put on a mask to order. This is all too political and literally makes no common sense. You afraid of covid stay home. We Walked right out.
Highly recommended! Coffee variety and uniqueness is more than at any other shop Ive been to. The roast is well done, not burned. The drink was very smooth and silky. Try their Orange Maple Latte or a Chai Latte and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Excellent and speedy customer service. Will be coming back and recommending to others.
Coffee & Grace in real life -Seriously - Read my review!!My wife and I spend a lot each month on coffee and we love hitting new shops to try them in the Seattle area - I have NEVER written a single review till now on a coffee shop. I have no relationship or interest in this place and found it in a Google search. Let me tell you why please.* Its 15 degrees out and Sunday; they open at 6AM - Easy parking, clean, kid friendly, tons of seating and good lighting, outlets with USB all over, good clear calm music, water bar, mixed bench, chair and bar seating, soft but bright lighting.* The place has amazing coffee they roast in-house - balanced with no acid taste - I had the almond milk option and it was perfect which it often is not at most shops - My wife had a vanilla latte and she told me it was a 10/10 for her.The they were a 5/5 star for me before Sam S. and Manuel A. blew my mind -*One after another for about a hour early in the morning people in need came in with requests of bathroom access, hot water, sugar packets, warm up a minute and over and over these guys smiled, cleaned the restroom, poured the water, and greeted each one. The folks needing things dropped off as the morning warmed up.*One very upset woman who clearly was not lucid began yelling at them for no reason - Both of these guys just took it and when she stopped they calmly told her sorry she was upset and let her storm out - OH MY GOSH that was incredibly stand up and respectful. This is how you serve while keeping it safe and calm if there kids in the store. After 26 Years in the USAF I have rarely seen such compassion and professionalism even from seasoned Service Members . My wife (unknown to this shop) is a Board Certified Mental Health Professional and she told me that even she was wowed by these guys.Im proud to write this review and I hope you have a similar experience
Really cute spot in Spokane, friendly staff and calm, nice atmosphere.
Currently in WA during Covid-19 and no eat-in.... Indaba had it sectioned off, with a nice flow to order at the counter. Plenty of standing room. But what we really love is their coffee! Best cold brew according to my husband who likes dark coffee. My iced mocha 16oz with just 2-shots of espresso was good. Next time Id order 4-shots. Not heavy on the chocolate, which was nice (for me). Their hot food sounded good, but we didnt have any this time. Just a couple scones, which were good. Friendly staff too!!
One of my favorite spots in Spokane. I like the Broadway location best because of its easy + free parking and outdoor seating. Nettleton is right by a park - great to grab yourself coffee and run off your kids energy! The have interesting, homemade flavors. Im not normally a butterscotch fan, but theirs is bomb in an oat milk latte!
The lentil hummus toast was so good! Probably the best thing Ive eaten in Spokane! The avocado toast wasnt great though.
This place is wonderful for a business coffee and has a great location.
This is the kind of coffee shop that you dream about. A place where the baristas know their customers orders by memory and want to know your name. The coffee is GOLD and the seating area is equipped for long, focused work sessions (lots of outlets to plug in your computer, ample seating).Indaba, thank you for making me feel like a local when Im away from home. You guys are doing everything right and I cant wait to visit next time Im in town.
The coffee was so bitter. I had dark roast Black coffee and when the coffee is burnt it will be really bitter. It also cost almost $4 for a med reg coffee. I was so disappointed.
This place is wonderful!
Nice friendly girls. A good atmosphere..
The staff are so nice to everyone who comes in and to eachother. And the fireside chai is one of the best Ive had!
Super great food and drinks!
Great staff, coffee is incredible. Highly recommend
I’m giving this place 5 stars because the service was fantastic and most importantly they require masks during the pandemic. Clearly marked signage is why I went in for coffee. I passed by two places because I saw unmasked or mask not covering nose employees! Bravo!!
Great coffee and even better people
Tried the Southern Comfort this visit. Thats a large pulled pork sandwich with sweet cole slaw on top.Its really to big to manhandle to mouth so I enjoyed the slaw and pork with a fork. Loved the slaw. I like heavily smoked meat but could find very little smokiness to this pork. The pork was rough cut, requiring additional separation for some pieces as large as a chicken drumstick.
Best coffee in Spokane...hands down
I fall in love with a new coffee or barista every time. A place of good vibes, drink, and nibbles.
Great service, excellent coffee and spicy chai, outdoor seating and all in all a very pleasant experience. 10/10 would recommend.
Such good coffee. Friendly people and comfortable setting. Back open for dine in. Great place to meet for small groups
Fabulous espresso with perfectly pulled shots! The coffee shop is inviting and comfortable. I resisted buying a pastry today, but they were huge and fresh so I wont resist tomorrow. No pics because the espresso was so good I drank it before I could post this review.
Indaba has the best coffee in Spokane!! I am very picky about my coffee and Indaba has won be over. I had the iced lemon vanilla latte and it was the perfect drink for a hot day!
Cozy shop, friendly staff, great coffee!
Really nice atmosphere, and the coffee was really great quality. There is some pastrys and snack type food, which was an OK selection, not much. But the one bagel I did order was really good quality bagel. Their cold brew coffee is delicious too.
Great coffee and people - 4 stars because it is more expensive than other shops.
Great cocoa, coffee, and so much variety! Katie is awesome, and shared some book recommendations while preparing our order. Cheers! We will be back often and soon!
Best coffee in Spokane and most friendly staff!
One of Spokanes best coffee shops.
Family place. Everyone feels welcome
Indaba has some of the BSST coffee in town, I live that they are local! ❤️
Great coffee and service.
The best coffee shop I have found anywhere. No bs far better then anything I have had anywhere in Seattle
Barista was pulling shots way ahead of time and had 3 shots lined up on the counter that had been sitting for an unknown amount of time.
Good service and atmosphere. Great people also.
Always love the HOUSE MADE butterscotch latte! So delicious
Their coffee is sourced fantastically, and well roasted, from what Ive seen. The brews Ive had here have been good overall, if a bit inconsistent. General employee knowledge could be better, as could customer service. Definitely a place to check out for the environment and in-house roasting, but not a place Id frequent.
Really great coffee shop. In my opinion, some of, if not the best, beans here. They roast their beans locally, and never fail to make an excellent latte. Pretty neat loyalty program that gives you drinks after collecting enough stars.
Locally roasted in Kendall Yards. Some interesting expressions of single origin coffees. There is also a decent house espresso blend, selection of teas, and a small selection of snacks and food.
High-end coffee roaster, for these parts. They do some sandwiches and such that are good, as well. Modest outdoor seating, in season. Also try Tom Sawyers, a few blocks away--very good, as well.
I love Indaba coffee. Whenever I’m in Spokane I stop by. However the only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star is the guy working here is never very friendly. Borderline rude. So I’ll likely go to a different location and hope the coffee is as good.
Literally the best coffee I have ever had. Customer service is always amazing and its obvious that they want to produce a quality product and make you happy. They are friendly and if you go there on any regular basis they will learn you and your regular order.
Bobby the owner is a great guy! Only been there a few times but his staff has been very friendly and inviting!! Coffee is really good as well.
Yo this was literally the best coffee Ive ever had by far. Just go ahead and treat yourself because you deserve it
Good atmosphere and friendly service. Its a great place to meet up with a friend, do some work privately, or utilize some comfy seating to read a good book. Parking typically isnt too bad either. Ive only had their Americano but it is pretty good and significantly better than most coffee stand coffee - but I guess you would expect that from a specialty roast house like this one.
Ive only gone here the one time, but it was a nice chill experience. I got a spicy (yes spicy) chai latte and it was excellent
The coffees we had were delicious and pricing for these were reasonable and less than Starbucks, very good quality and fresh roasted. I did consider buying some beans to grind at home but felt $12 for the 12 Oz. Bag was a bit too pricey for me. Going to be going other places tasting as I go so will be tasting and price checking then will choose which to take home with me as we are visiting from Columbus OH
Nasty people
Nothing beats Indaba! I’ve been around the country and never found a good place to get coffee. However, Slow-by-slow in Boise is very competitive too!
Wow! This place is fancy and trendy! We had coffee and cheese ham croissant. We satisfied for both of them. In Google photos, there are pictures of huge bookcase and lots of books, however, I could not find them. Especially their music selection and the speaker are so nice! I was there for my study but I felt like I could write a long novel or poem in that atmosphere! They don’t have many chairs though, maybe less than 15 people can fit in there. Thank you for the music and coffee!
Great coffee. Sarah is wonderful. Her sense of humor is a great start to my day
The coffee was just okay. The place is clean, which was nice. The person at the register was friendly, the barista, not so much. For it being a coffee shop, it appeared that they only had one head to pull shots from, so that seemed odd. Overall, Im sure the hip crowd like it, what with it having an exotic name, and products that appear imported (but probably arent). If I were in the exact area again and needed a coffee, Id stop in again.
This place is awesome very hipster. The coffee is really good and they do some cool foam art. Definitely recommend this place!
Such amazing coffee and friendly atmosphere. I recommend coming here for your coffee fix!
The iced Black Salt Butterscotch latte with oat milk is a dream come true.
Great coffee! I was apprehensive about trying lemon in my coffee, but the flavors complimented well! Will be back 😋
Indaba is by far one of the best cafes in Spokane if youre looking for a quality cup of coffee. Although a touch on the pricey side, it is well worth the cost. The ambience is perfect for a morning of studying or meeting with friends!
Ive only been here once so far, while visiting Spokane. The drip coffee I had tasted over-extracted and grounds-y, but the espresso was fantastic. The staff was very nice and helpful. Ill definitely try again.
Went here not knowing exactly what to expect but was super stoked immediately when I saw the Slate Coffee that they were serving. Bobby, the owner, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee. He expertly prepared a pour-over for me of the Chiriqui that was incredible! My wife had an espresso based drink and she loved it. Overall, an amazing experience and a destination for great coffee.
Outstanding coffee, great little spot to hang and chat. Furniture is upscale and unique. Staff is very courteous, and quick! Not that its a big deal but they make little designs in my coffee when I order in. Just a little quirk that makes a difference. I go here alot, and drink WAY too much coffee and this place and wake up call have the best beans in spokane!!
Great place to hang out & drink coffee! Good pumpkin scones too.
Ive had a great experience every time that I have stopped by for coffee. Friendly staff and delicious lemon vanilla lattes! I also love the modern feel of it in comparison to many of the other coffee shops around-- at the downtown location.
Went in and asked about biggest size they offer. Was told 16 oz. I know its the hippie thing to have ever-smaller cups and is more profitable margin-wise, but as someone who normally orders 20 or 24 oz, that made me feel like the business didnt want my money. Strike one. Then I was told they DO NOT offer any sugar-free flavors! What?? Strike two. As if that wasnt bad enough, to add insult to injury I was told that there was only drip coffee available because theyre closing soon. Im sure different people have a different definition of soon but as a customer only my definition matters and Im OK with 2-3 min. Strike three! Im out. Maybe permanently.
I went here my first time today. Upon walking in, Tyler was engaged and chatting with another few customers. They were talking his ear off, but me made a concerted effort to politely move them through the line. I could tell he wanted to keep service quick. I ordered and Americano and a ham and cheese croissant. The coffee came out very quickly. At this point, Tyler, being the only one working became swamped. Several people came in and ordered complex and time consuming drinks. He was unable to get my croissant out in a timely fashion. Upon getting it to me, he was sincerely apologetic and he offered me a free drink. I initially told him it wouldnt be necessary, but he insisted. The coffee and pastry were both excellent, I will be back though because I felt taken care of. Thanks Tyler!
The only thing I can say that was good about this place... Was that they didnt burn their coffee like most places do. Other than that, their coffee is over price, their food is over priced... The reason why they are getting a 2 star is that their environment is nice and their coffee isnt burnt. I did not like the fact that I didnt get the coffee as sweet as I wanted it even though I requested sweet coffee and I made sure they knew I wanted sweet coffee. I tried two different coffee types and neither was as sweet as I wanted it, and the coffee was too over priced for me. I will not ever be going back here again.
Not exaggerating, this was possibly the best coffee Ive had. Honey lemon latte is the so smooth!
Very good service. The designs on the coffee are great!!
I favorite by far! I wish there was a location north! I have not been disappointed. They make a house made almond milk! Yum!
Friendliest staff in the world! Wouldnt get my drinks at any other place! I love the Spicy Chai Latte with the mix being provided by a local!
Literally the NICEST people work here (at least when I go!) Love the Lemon Vanilla Latte. They skin a lemon for you! Try it. If you like coffee for all the right reasons, youll love this.
Delicious always quick and correct order.Staff knows me by name, and my usual order 💙🤞 thank you all!!!!
I work at a coffee shop in Portland so Im always on the pursuit for good quality espresso. Indaba delivers! I had the vanilla lemon latte with hemp milk and it was by far one of the best drinks Ive ever had.
I started coming here the day after I moved to Spokane, Ive been here almost daily since. It is the perfect place to get a coffee and study, not to mention you dont have to pay to park! The coffee is amazing, and the staff are so very kind.
I have gone into their bar, and it the coffee quality was incredible, the staff friendly. I have also bought a pound of their coffee (from the Kitchen Engine) and it is the finest coffee I have ever had the pleasure of brewing at home.Location and hours arent optimal, but it doesnt matter. Excellent coffee, great place.
Great service. If its your style of coffee, then its incredible. It isnt my style (my husband says I like it burnt), but it was a great place. Reminded me of Portland, Or. a little.
The coffee was good but they didnt get our order quite right. It was way too warm inside the shop.
Great coffee and a nice atmosphere. Never been disappointed. A dollar of each bag of beans you but goes back to help the Spokane community out, so thats a plus as well!
Coffee was bomb, also buy the no bake cookie. Probs the best thing youll ever shove in your mouth
Great little cafe! I was excited that they make their own almond milk! Every other latte shop in town only has dairy alternatives that are filled with sugar.
I drove through Spokane 4 times in the last month taking my wife to Montana and then picking her up and heading back home to Portland. Each time I stopped here for coffee. The staff was extremely friendly and I had an amazing iced americano that blew me away with its flavor. It was seriously good. If I am ever in Spokane again I will definitely be stopping at INDABA again.
Favorite Coffee!!Not only is the coffee at Indaba slow-roasted in small batches, it is ethically sourced. And the owners, Bobby & Sheena Enslow, use their business as a way to give back to the community, helping provide 10,000 meals last year for those experiencing financial hardship. They work with the schools to educate at-risk youth and have a fund to provide coffee to those unable to afford such purchases. Its fantastic coffee and by supporting this local business, you are supporting a social-benefit coffee company. Cant recommend it highly enough!!
Needed a little pick me up after work so I went to Indaba Coffee for the first time.Let me just say, I got a 16oz iced lemon-vanilla latte with hemp milk and 2 extra shots, and it was the most lovely tasting beverage I have ever had in my life.Definitely going again and I would recommend to anyone who appreciates a beautiful aesthetic, personable staff, and delicious coffee.♡♡♡
