Tried this place for the first time finally today, and it was so delicious! It wasnt very busy, and there was shaded street parking as well as outdoor seating out front. My husband had a scoop of Banana pudding which was heavenly, and my pineapple Dole whip float in strawberry soda was very tasty and unique!
Ice cream is delicious and not too expensive. The women working there was very nice and helpful. You have to try the pumpkin spiced cookie when you go.
Working on the Dreamin Wild movie right up the block from The Scoop. The gal named Jennifer running the place gave us all ice cream of our choosing on the house! Very, very tasty treat indeed. Best ice cream Ive had in a very long time I mean yuuummmy for my tummy. Thank you very, very much!!!
The Scoop is ALWAYS a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and happy to tell us about the things available. We once got a donut ice cream sandwich. They have a rotating crop of flavors that are sure to pique your tastebuds. Don’t get turned off by a line out the door, they’re quick and it’s nice to chat with your neighbors like we used to.
Really good ice cream, made daily...and it really does taste homemade. Not a huge selection of options, but still a good variety. They dont give samples right now unless you buy them, which is unfortunate, as they have some unusual flavours...but definitely worth giving it a try.Street parking only, but there seems to be plenty available on a weekend. Could be tougher during the week as they are next to a school.
First time to Scoops. I was really impressed by the quality of their ice cream. The flavor and texture was wonderful. It is a small shop, in amongst a residential area which I love. They offer some very unique flavors. I tried the Peanut Butter Oreo and it was delicious. No doubt I will be back for more.
Delicious ice cream! Pumpkin waffle cones are amazing! We tried the pumpkin spice cookie ice cream, carmel apple spice and cookies and scream. All were so good!
Tried this place last night. Amazing! I will never eat store-bought ice cream again! I think the owner was working there. She is so nice.
Love their pineapple dole whip. Staff is always friendly. Would recommend
My husband and I moved to Spokane in March 2021. I am not over exaggerating when I say this is the place we visit the most.. definitely over 10 times by now. This is hands down the best ice cream I have ever had in my entire life!! We love the cycle of flavors and trying new items. His favorite is the biscoff cookie ice cream and mine is the cherry Dole whip. But every single thing we have tried has been phenomenal and we LOVE the option of eating dairy-free!!
Limited flavors but fair pricing. Waffle cones were very good
Cute neighborhood shop with unique ice cream flavors! Kids love it!
Sometimes has a line, but so worth it. I love the Thai Iced Tea Flavor. The texture of their ice cream is out of this world due to how they make it.
Plenty of parking, awesome ice cream, and a nice place to hang out outside. The only bad thing was that the serving size was definitely small for how much I paid.Try the mud pie!
Perfectly located in a great neighborhood with surprisingly awesome hours, if youre looking for a place to stop and have a coffee or a waffle cone, you can do much much worse than the scoop. Everything here is top notch from the warm atmosphere to the warmer personalities working behind the counter. You definitely owe it to yourself and I mean who really needs an excuse for ice cream?
Favorite ice cream shop hands down! I eat a lot of ice cream and love the creaminess and texture of their ice cream the most. They also have amazing and custom flavors. My favorites are cookie butter cookie dough and pistachio pineapple marshmallow (I know that sounds weird). Their waffle cones also has sprinkles so it adds a bit of color and fun! Staff is always super friendly and never annoyed at giving samples (unlike some other places). I also like that they support the community.
Awesome gem in the middle of a great neighborhood. Great spot to bring the kiddos
THE ice cream place for me, not only in Spokane but in my life. Made on-site and cooled by liquid nitrogen, the wonderful variety of rotating flavors is without compare, well, anywhere. Creamy, delicious goodness. The salted caramel and mud pie are my personal faves, and someday I hope the chocolate-covered strawberries flavor isnt sold out so I can try it! They also have interesting liege waffle options for breakfast that Ive never tried. This adorable place is nestled in a lovely, walkable neighborhood and has outdoor seating. They have a small supply of pints to go.Serious bonus points for how deftly they handled the pandemic, immediately providing delivery and curbside pickup and strictly eliminating customers exposure. What Mr. Hemphill resents them for, I applaud them for. (After all, its your private property and your health. Were not entitled to to do as we please with either.) Way to look after your staff and regulars.
100/10 best place for ice cream in Spokane, I’ve made the drive from Cheney just to get some. Great flavors and the keep well if you’re looking to stock up.
I live in California and came to see my brother. This place was a pleasure to sit outside and spend some time with the family post COVID apocalypse. The lady that was serving us was an absolute sweetheart and was very helpful.
Really tasty ice cream, little pricey, but I didn’t mind.
I had the Swirl this time because after I received my Banana Pudding Cone, which is great, the Swirl was calling my name. The Swirl tastes as delicious as it looks.
THAT DOLE WHIPPED THO, IS EVERYTHING!!! CANT GET IT ANYWHERE ELSE, THEREFORE MAKING THE SCOOP ONE OF THE BEST ICE CREAM SHOPS IN SPOKANE.
Fun place to go! The ice cream is delicious. I had the cinnachococashew. It was wonderful.
Always our go to ice cream shop! Delicious ice cream and friendly staff! If my three years old had his way we would be there everyday!
Treat yo’self and your pup!Just a few blocks East of the High Drive Bluff, this locally owned neighborhood ice cream shop is the perfect place to take a break from your urban hike. Flavors change regularly; today I enjoyed the guava lemon sorbet (V) and lemon huckleberry blueberry ice cream (gf). Closed Mondays. Delicious six days a week.
All the way from alaska. Ice cream was delicious and service was wonderful. We were the people that came in 10 minutes before closing and they were still very patient with us.
They have dole whip floats!! You used to only be able to get those at Disneyland. Great vibes, wonderful flavors all around. Grab a cone and go watch the sunset on high drive.
Friendly employees and delicious ice cream!! Reasonable prices too. Definitely feels like your neighborhood ice cream shop!
This place is so good. The Nutella and milk and cookies is amazing.
Super cute ice cream shop with outdoor seating! The waffle cones are exceptional 👌.
Ive been going to the scoop since there was only one and they served grilled cheese. Highly, highly recommend.
Was looking for a small shop not among the bigger names and fell across this small shop! I loved the aesthetic and the ice cream and gelato were delicious! I got the blackberry and raspberry lemonade sorbet! Friendly and fast service
Staff were unorganized; 2 staff helping 1 customer and 2 staff watching while customers waited in line. Their product tasted more like ice milk than ice cream. Otherwise, cute little shop in the neighborhood.
Super cool experience, great vibes. Amazing ice cream, on National Icecream Day. The Nutella and Graham was excellent.
Unfortunately they required my daughter who is 4 years old to wear a mask in store. Children aged 5 years and under should not be required to wear masks. This is based on the safety and overall interest of the child. Straight from the WHO website. I dont care how good the ice cream is Im not making my daughter wear a mask. I love to support local business because my dad owns one, but not with stupid rules like this.
The employees of the Scoop are very Sweet and polite.I’ll go back and and again. I have found my favorite ice cream place in Spokane and I’ll be going back there again and again. I’ll tell everyone that I know of the Scoop and how it the best Ice cream place around. Overall the Customer Service was Wonderful!!!
Always great! Wishing I had not moved from Spokane, now I only get it on visits. I make sure to get it on each visit :^)
Quality has definitely declined in comparison to previous years. Less items to choose from then in the past so a lack to an encompassing experience. Too expensive for the amount of ice cream given.
The Scoop has good ice cream, but very poor customer service. When my sister-in-law went in with her two kids (ages 2 and 4), the scooper made them put on masks. No problem—they complied, but the two-year-old took off the mask because... well, she’s two. The scooper yelled at the kids, and shamed them in front of everyone else. There’s no excuse for that. Everyone (except the scooper) was doing what they could given the situation. Being sensible is one thing. Shaming your customer and her children is another. The Scoop ruined the day by leaving the kids crying and embarrassed. And the scooper lied about the state mask requirement, too, saying everyone over 2 needs a mask, which isn’t true. We won’t be back.
Raspberry guava sorbet was fantastic on a waffle cone, wow!
Best ice cream Ive ever had! The vegan prickly pear is my personal favorite. I didnt think it was possible to make vegan ice cream so delicious!
Yum...cones are good..ice cream ..dole whip..just do it!
I was on a run with my dog near the Kendall yards location. I went in with a face covering on, the worker proceeded to embarrass me in front of 4 other people because my face covering was not considered a “mask” to her. When I explained to her that it’s not the same mask she was wearing(upside down surgical) but was in fact a face covering she proceeded to say she had the right to refuse service & I needed to go. Then told me to come back properly masked to be served. Pretty crazy how I work in a hospital & wear the same face covering to work everyday. Definitely won’t be going here ever. Cute shop, rude worker
Awesome ice cream in a awesome neighborhood with awesome staff
Me and my family of here whenever we visit Spokane. They have the BEST ice cream ever! They are so nice. I would definitely recommend it 😊🍦
Their vegan ice cream has made me forget what the milk stuff tastes like. So yummy!!!! Plus their dole whip is SO GOOD
Super good ice cream at a reasonable price. I had a scoop of blueberry lavender with a scoop of cheese plate, and it was a superb combo.
Delicious ice cream and great little place! Super friendly staff. Love love love
Best ice cream in town, maybe all of Washington. Unique flavors, super creamy, made locally with liquid nitrogen. Great service always.
Will NEVER bring my business to The Scoop again! My kids and I came in to get some ice cream and the girl that was working insisted that my 4 year old wears a mask! I said she is under 5 years old and state mandate is anyone under 5 years old does not require to wear a mask & she told me that in “their” store anyone thats not a baby must wear a mask! This is ridiculous? I will not be taking my hard earned money and support a business who makes up their own rules!
Ever changing ice cream and Dole whip flavors! Try the twinkle berry!
Cranky staff and limited flavor selections. Also they ignored the customer in front of me until I said something twice.
Omg... the Dole Whip... OMG! Not to mention the waffle cones! So good. 10/10 always recommend.
Me and my family love the scoop. We walk there every now and then. It’s cozy and has a very warm welcoming Feel. Also the people are really friendly. So yeah get there and get some. oh yeah, the ice cream is delicious and very unique. My personal favorite is Salted caramel, All the other ones are also super good. Also they have gluten free ice cream and peanut free and vegetarian and soft serve so yeah.
Great local shop with fun selection of flavors, a few standards and a handful of unexpected options to tease and delight your palette. Tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood where you wouldnt expect to find any business, it has a real neat hometown corner-store friendly vibe. Definitely worth a drive from the valley or the Northside. I ordered a scoop of cheese plate (goat cheese, cashews, fig, & apricot) and a scoop of peach lime rhubarb sorbet, both were fantastic, and surprisingly, even paired well together!
Good cream. Tasty waffle
We are from the Seattle area and whenever we visit family in Spokane, we always make a trip to The Scoop for homemade ice cream! Its the bomb!!
Fun little neighborhood ice cream parlor
Its a great place, not much of a scoop selection but the ice cream is soooo good ! Brownie is tasty
You lost a regular customer, today. After insisting my 2 year old granddaughter & 4 year old grandson wear masks in your store, one of your employees snapped at my daughter when her 2 yr old pulled off her mask. Tears. Shame. There is no mandate for children < 5.
Good ice cream.
Fantastic flavors and service. Kids go to place too if they get to choose.
The gem of Spokane! Seriously. The best ice cream, made locally, served up by the friendliest crew. The sorbets are my favorite - they’re out of this world good. This is a must do for visitors!
Really good ice cream. Cute little shop on hill. Friendly employees as well. Cute patio area for warmer days!
Oh...The Scoop. How we love you. Their flavors are almost always impressive. At worst, they are just good. The staff is friendly and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. Their response to the pandemic has been comprehensive and necessary - who wants to live without specialty small batch ice cream?! Not me.
Great variety, amazing flavors!
Dont believe the hype! Literally just overpriced ice cream. The scooper was nice but gave us these tiny tiny scoops, did not fill up the cone at all. The flavors are just meh, between the 5 of us we tried like 7 flavors and quite honestly ben and Jerrys make it better. Black and white cookie dough has NO actual cookie dough despite what the lady said. Wouldnt come again. Save your money and go elsewhere!
So many delicious flavors to choose from! You cant go wrong with giants milk and cookies or any of their vegan options. Youre in for treat when you visit this Spokane gem.
Tasty food and a nice place to sit
Amazing local ice cream. The best flavors around!
Very creative creations and tasty!
Pure delicacy! The strawberry ice cream is loaded with chunks of real strawberries. Being smooth and creamy, it is not too rich nor too sweet. Looking forward to exploring other varieties!
Great ice cream but way over priced.
I tried three milkshakes it was delicious
Best ice cream in town!
Its hard to find good ice cream in Spokane and this place satiates that after dinner sweet tooth. The hours are perfect and being open till 8pm is genius. The flavors always taste like they were made an hour before you showed up and its always clean there and free of sticky floors or tables. I really think they take their work seriously at this great ice cream shop. I love ice cream anytime of the year! I love that I can walk into this place in the middle of January with a foot of snow on the ground and get a waffle cone with a scoop of their banoffee.
Not far from Comstock Park, this local ice-cream shop is a great place. The place is a small, quaint corner shop that is very welcoming. Once inside, the place is a little small (to be expected) and is full of colors. You really feel happy here and it is obviously children friendly. If the weather allows, you may enjoy your frozen treats on the lovely outside shaded patio.Their homemade ice cream was delicious and full of flavors. You can also go with their tasty homemade waffles or organic coffees and teas. All of these come at fair prices for a local shop. The employees were super friendly and took the time to make sure you got something that would make you happy. If you are in the area, treat yourself to some delicious ice-cream and support this wonderful local store.
The ice cream is well worth the drive/money. It is fairly inexpensive and also remember this is local and not a chain. The ice cream flavors are rich and smooth and all made within the premises. Its in a cute little residential corner by Williams elementary school. Definitely recommend to everyone who is visiting the south hill and manito area. A great first date idea, amazing work meeting area, great family atmosphere as well.
First time visiting. I will be back
Great place for a scoop or two!
Great Neighborhood Ice Cream shop creative flavors ..if I wasnt just passing thru town I would have bought a pint or two
Love this place! Probably as much as my kiddo does! :)
Definitely quality over quantity. The ice cream was yummy and homemade waffle cones delicious! But for the price you pay they don’t give you enough. And I’m not just saying that is was so good I only wish I had more... we didn’t get a whole lot for our money. Cute building and little shop. And the organic coffee was perfect.
