Amazing stock and they do a great job, taking their time for the perfect fit, when it comes to pointe shoe fitting. Theyre a bit overwhelmed and very slow to respond to calls and emails, and paranoid about online shop competition (no in store photos they wont share details of how theyve modified a shoe for a person to fit better, etc). But they have no reason to worry. The service and selection is enough to bring folks in, and they should trust in that.

The ladies here were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about what my daughter needed to get started. They knew their local dance schools and teachers, got us in quickly with little notice and everyone was super friendly. We really appreciated all of these ladies today.

I love this shop! The staff is so friendly and helpful and I always get exactly the right shoes! They spend a long time sizing and fitting to make sure you get exactly what you need! Definitely recommend!

I bought a pair of pointe shoes from here that ended up being defective, and the manufacturer sent a new pair. By the time they arrived (months later, after emailing several times to babysit the process along), my daughter had grown out if that size. They refused to exchange the non-sewn, non-worn shoes for the proper size.In addition to my issues, other moms from our studio have had issues here and there. Missing half the elastics and ribbons, or having problems with exchanges.I will never buy from this shop, and I would never recommend this shop to anyone.

My family has been shopping exclusively at Empire Dance Shop for 30 years. It’s worth the drive to Spokane just for dance clothing and shoes. The staff does personal fittings for dance shoes to ensure the best possible fit. If you’re confident in your sizes, they’re wonderful to work with over the phone, as well. Their pricing is quite affordable and their selection is great.

My 4 year old daughter Mackenzie started her first dance class for ballet and tap today, Saturday January 19th. I visited Empire on Tuesday and had her fitted for shoes and a leotard. The staff was amazingly friendly and overly encouraging and enthusiastic to my shy to new people daughter. By the time she was trying on the tap shoes she was showing off for me and the entire shop staff. Everyone was very pleasant and extremely helpful, as I have absolutely no experience in dance. I will not be going to any other shop for anything that she needs in her dancing endeavors. I love this shop.

More expensive than what I just saw in Seattle, but I think they are the only game in town. And the shoes are well made. They have a great selection of dancewear. And I am not paying $50 for a leotard

They charge $25 just to fit shoes. Felt obligated to buy them since we were going to be charged just to try them on. Never been to a store like this before so wasnt sure what to expect though. Just glad we were able to find my husband dancing shoes and the location worked for where we were at the time.

We always get our ballet supplies here. Decent prices. Helpful and kind staff. Local business. My daughters feet have been growing crazy fast, so we usually go to Empire Dance twice a year for ballet and character shoes. They sometimes have to order in her shoes as her feet are very narrow. That is quick and easy to do.

The store workers were really nice. My boys were being rowdy and kept touching things, playing with each other. Yet they were super sweet about it and were able to get me exactly what i and the boys needed for our starter ballet classes. I got all i needed and im a tall and big girl (even proper fitting tights which is so hard for me, being 510 and 240lbs). I was worried they wouldnt have anything in my size and my boys are tall and very skinny. They had everything we needed. I fully and honestly recommend this store.Thank you Empire Dance Shop!I will make sure to keep going here for all our needs.

This place is kinda outta the way. The prices are higher then most. The staff did not get sizes right and we had to return shoes several times. They get busy and become overwhelmed quickly. They only have one register to check anyone out. They do have a great selection of items.

Empire Dance shop is owned and run by some of the sweetest people youll meet in the ballet world! They have helped myself and my students with our Pointe shoe, flat shoe, and ballet attire needs for the past 5 years and Ive never been disappointed in their service. They genuinely care about every dancer, which is so refreshing. I highly recommend them!!

I have come to this store since getting my very first pair of pointe shoes, and have always loved the service that I have been given! However, that recently changed due to a return conflict that I had with Empire, and it has since changed the way that I feel about the shop, its owners, as well as their employees. I live far from Spokane, so on the occasion that I had the opportunity to go to the shop, I requested to get re-fit into pointe shoes, which unfortunately lead to a pair of completely incorrect fit shoes for my feat. I asked the woman fitting me to try different shoes various times, and upon returning home, questioned why she thought Grishkos would be best for my feet including the issues that I previously defined. I returned to the shop a week later and got properly fit by another employee, and as I explained the situation that I was in, was told by the cashier that I could return my shoes by mail if I “called back on Monday.” I did so multiple times with no response until today, when I called and was told it was too late to return and that they would not except my shoes back. Horrified by this service. I wish I never gave them my money.
